Liliya: A Smile Through Eternity 🍷✨

​I’ve finally finished this piece, and I couldn't be happier with the result. She’s one of my very first characters, and while painting her, I rediscovered who she truly is and what she represents.

​Liliya is a vampire who has long since forgotten her own age. She has the power to wipe a small nation off the map in a single night, yet she prefers to linger in neon-lit clubs. Not out of kindness, but simply because it’s more entertaining that way.

​She is far too bored to lie. She says what she thinks and does exactly what she wants. The only things that can pierce her armor of eternal boredom are kittens, puppies, and children. In those rare moments, the monster falls asleep, giving way to the human spark she has guarded for thousands of years.

​Her Seals:

The golden spider hair clip, the wide filigree ring, and the dragon pendant choker are not just trinkets. They are limiters—seals that keep her personality from unraveling. As long as she wears them, she is Liliya. Without them, she is a natural disaster that even she herself fears.

​"She is weary of infinity, yet she keeps living. Who knows? Maybe tomorrow, something truly amusing will finally happen." ⚡️

I’ve been thinking about Lilia again. It’s been on my mind for a long time, and something just finally clicked.

​I initially planned to just polish up an old sketch, but as I went along, I got carried away - adjusting lines here, changing accents there - and Lilia started to look more and more like my original vision.

​The pencil sketch is something I still like, and honestly, I can’t say for sure which version is "better." But I know exactly where she looks most like herself - and it’s this final version. I’m really happy with how she turned out

Looking at Ilveran here, I don’t feel pity. I feel cold steel pressing against my spine.

He isn’t a "poor boy." He’s a being getting torn apart from the inside by a force far greater than himself. And Melanntae… she doesn’t save him out of pity. She makes a choice that reeks of fatalism.

​Northrend. A blizzard. And one very unfortunate encounter with an artifact.
