Ask yourself, how much do you want IT? Because if you want it enough you will make the changes, you will work hard and stick at it. Iâm posting this photo of me from about a month and a half a go where I was in a good routine regarding diet and exercise. However, December happened. I believe with the business, hustle and bustle of social events and forever being surrounded by Christmas chocolates, Iâve forgotten how much I do want IT. Iâve become slack on my food diary, Iâve dropped a weekly gym session and my goodness I have noticed. With just under 2 weeks left of 2015 Iâm still prepared to smash the gym as much as I can but I canât promise myself I will be sticking to a clean diet. However, January is a clean slate for me (as well as everyone). Iâm upping my diet and hoping to get more protein in and cutting the sugar as well as getting back to the gym 5 times a week! If anyone has been like me over December and become slack⊠Donât kick yourself about it! Embrace it and enjoy the break from your usual routine.
FUEL YOUR AMBITION. It's been a busy few weeks but I've finally found myself a new fitness routine which fits in around my job as well as giving me the time for a social life too. I'm mainly participating in classes at the moment - currently seeking a strength training partner. I'm now on a 4 day break from the gym whilst off on a mini adventure. Ready to kick some ass on my return though. Quads, glutes & biceps are my main area of focus at the moment as well as tweaking my diet - which may be hard with Christmas just around the corner...
âWhat if I told you 10 years from now your life would be exactly the same? Doubt youâd be happy. So, why are you afraid of change?â

SWEET APPLE OMELETTE
A sweet omelette? Yep. Attempted this for a Saturday brekkie for Matty & I. All the usual ingredients of an omelette, so as you can imagine ⊠- 4 eggs - 1 apple - honey - cinnamon I know most people know how to make an omelette but here how it goes: Slice the apple finely and fry in cinnamon and honey until softened. Add the 4 beaten eggs mixture onto the apples as well as more honey & cinnamon. Fry until the base is cooked then put under the grill for a few minutes to cook the top. Job done.
This recipe is taken from Madeline Shaw - she advises to add a drop of vanilla essence for taste.
what crushed me, is that I wanted to receive the same love that I gave, and no two people have the same concept of love.

âNever fall in love with someoneâ she said, defiantly, showing how she truly felt about him leaving, how he shattered her heart. âItâs all rainbows and laughter and thunder and lightning together and itâs all so truly overwhelming and consuming until you canât take it anymore and you collapse from the exhaustion of the rain constantly pounding on your heart and the butterflies in your stomach turn to dragons.â âItâs like being punched in the stomach and being ripped apart but itâs okay because youâre lost in his smile and drowning in his heartbeat. Itâs being pushed up against counters, doors, tables, walls and alleys, hearing him whisper in your ear, feeling his lips on your neck. Itâs running through the rain at 4am together, soaking wet but nothing matters anymore because youâre with him and all you can hear him whispering is âI love youâ into your hair.â âNo body ever says what falling in love is truly like,â she paused, gazing into his eyes. âItâs truly that, falling. And when you land, you break. Itâs as simple and complicated as that, and youâre left shattered into a hundred pieces, thinking that if you hug yourself hard enough, maybe you can fix what he did to you.â

'Roids!
Over the years training at the gym hasnât been easy. Everyone loses motivation at some points and you need something to kick you up the ass to get it back. Sometimes i felt like there was no point going gym because i wasnt getting the results and i was wasting my time. This isnt true, best way to be sure is take a photo every month or so. I get my girlfriend to do it so i havent got loads of half naked selfies on my phone!
One of the main thing that gets you down is other people. Younger guys starting the gym after you have been there for a while and they get bigger than you. 90% of the time thats the steroids people!
I didnât know it at first but half of my gym was taking them. They lie and are ashamed because its cheating. They want people to think theyâre all ânaturalâ but theyâre not! Its up to them what they do to their bodies but one thing that annoys me is when they dont admit what they have done! It makes us who dont do it feel like we are doing something wrong! I had one gym friend who trained with someone, he said to me âone week we were struggling to do 10 tricep dips and the next he was blasting out 30 not a problem. That made me feel shit because i didnt understand why i was so weak, a couple weeks later iâd found out he was taking steroids.â They hadnât been at the gym long so you can understand how demoralising it was. They didnât train together after that!
You also get the guys who canât be assed to put the effort in they just want the results! We had one guy join the gym and start doing steroids straight away. I was benching 100k for a few reps at this point and i walk past this guy whoâs been at the gym for a few weeks attempting 120k! Obviously he was on roids - hes still stronger than me and even though i told myself âhes cheating he wont feel the sense of achievement like i willâ it still annoyed me!
He only stayed at the gym for a couple months then left - I guess he had got big enough! He come back after 6 weeks because he had lost alot of size, this being the deflation after you stop taking roids. He then started it all over again and left after a month or so!
Basically the number one rule at the gym is donât compare yourself to others, its hard but you never know what supplements they are on! I was told this at the beginning of my training but i still ended up comparing! My advice, get a workout written down tweak it to perfection and just concentrate on that everytime at the gym! Headphones in and train! Donât look at others and what weight theyâre doing. Do your exercise and the only things you should be thinking is about you next rep or next exercise! Remember that last couple reps all you should be thinking is fuck fuck fuck because of the burn!

I find the lack of intimacy is the biggest destruction.
Day off work means I get to have strawberry & peanut butter protein pancakes for breakfast! Mmmm...
