Alright gang, it's official, I've rebranded. After a long, LOOOONGGGG byler hyperfixation I fell into a genuine depression for a bit from the overall disappointment of part 2 season 5 of Stranger Things. Byler will always have a place in my heart and of course I can't just completely stop the hyperfixation but I am trying to let myself slowly replace it. And since I do NOT wanna go through the queerbait again I found a new show I'm sure you've likely heard of, Heated Rivalry!! It's ACTUALLY written to be intentionally queer, and it is a MASTERPIECE It's already an exhausting fixation and it taks up 99% of my thoughts but I love it. I've watched it a few times now and I think it is absolutely wonderful. Let me know your thoughts on Heated Rivalry! Have any other Byler fans done a "switch" to the Heated Rivalry fandom? Lmk!!

That finale was so bad for so many reasons on so many levels.

I am sorry if you disagree, but this is my raw reaction after watching the ST season 5 finale.

(NO, NOT JUST BECAUSE THERE WAS NO BYLER I'VE BEEN EXPECTING THAT LET DOWN)

I will potentially elaborate on my thoughts later if I feel the desire now but I've gotta go play some Mario cart or some shit for now, happy new year everyone.

!! SEASON 5 PART 2 SPOILERS: STRANGER THINGS!!

My genuine first thoughts and reaction as a Byler fan to Season five, part two of Stranger Things.

(Specifically Will's coming out scene)

Well, as much as I love Stranger Things and loved Will's coming out scene, it seems the show was not brave enough to take the opportunity to change the course of history via making Byler happen. And, it's looking like we were queerbaited once again. I am at least grateful for the coming out scene, and I am trying to have hope Byler could still happen but it's not looking good, guys. It's definitely a rough feeling seeing this pattern in the media repeat itself especially as a queer autistic teen who found a place in the Byler community and because Byler has been probably my BIGGEST hyper fixation for years ongoing. It is certainly quite a letdown and a disappointment. However I am still trying to hold some hope that it could happen in the last episode, but then again maybe I am "delusional" like some border line homophobic commentary I've received from Milelevens in the past have claimed, toward anyone who's found a place in the Byler community. Either way, if this really is the end of the “ship war" then I have to say how grateful I have been and will continue to be for the Byler community, this may all seem dramatic but genuinely, for me it was more than some stupid ship. It's a beautiful space I've been able to find comfort in where I've never been able to before. Anyway, I still love stranger things and am so happy Will is able to be happy with who he is either way, and as I said I am trying to hold a bit of hope in my heart, but for now I'm going to log off and enjoy the rest of the holidays.
