In 2022 I drew a bunch of Ghosts-as-vines doodles upon ppl's requests on instagarm and it was super fun so I'm reposting those here!!
Sublime op
Thinking about how Thomas and the Captain are two sides of the same coin.
Both are inept in their chosen fields, but they put their heart and soul into it. Each is mocked by (most of) his peers, but yearns for their respect.
One lives in a world that encourages him to embrace emotional expression and individuality; the other lives in a world that forces him to repress them, stripping him of all identity but his rank.
Each of them is loved by someone who finds his idiosyncrasies charming, even as everyone else laughs. And yet, the pursuit of this love leads each to an ignominious death.
The Captain dies having learned that his feelings are requited, with Havers by his side. Thomas dies alone, believing that Isabelle no longer loves him.
They are a soldier who died from a broken heart, and a poet who died from a gunshot.
I think kids should be taught the joys of wearing headphones on public transport very early in their lives
modern day Pat taking his scouts on a hike and pointing at a creek: now that’s what I call a live stream! :D
Going along with my headcanon that Robin is like the "guardian" ghost of the land, and the reason he sticks around is because subconsciously he chooses to so that no one is as lonely as him, I think eventually a ghost will come along who takes up that position and allows him to finally leave and rest, knowing future ghosts will be okay and I can strongly see Alison being that ghost after she dies, as much as she will long to see Mike and Mia and the others some day, she likes to feel needed and meet new people, and by the time she can eventually pass the torch on as Robin did, she's connected with so many other souls that the woman who grew up feeling like she had almost no family ends up with the biggest in the world (yes I'm stealing that from Journey's End).
finally finished ghosts… i miss them so so much already, but what a beautiful ending ❤️
Little reminder to filter out christmas special spoilers for those who can’t watch it immediately, also to those who are posting to PLEASE TAG YOUR SPOILERS!!!!! Don’t be a dick it just takes likes two seconds to make someone’s day better
“one of the perks of Carol’s job, is the chance to rub shoulders with the stars of yonderland - including the demi-talented Laurence rickard. Who is not her favourite.” this is so one of my favourite behind the scenes clips in anything ever
Ghosts Christmas Special update/interview
Writers and an unexpected character return have been confirmed! 👀
In a interview with Radio Times it has been confirmed Mat and Jim have wrote the Christmas Special which is the final episode of Ghosts! More news on that will be out in the coming weeks
Also in the same interview Larry teases an unexpected return of a character in the final few minutes that we’ve seen before. This is something Ghosts has never done in the five years it’s been running without some form of context for it. The special has been described by them as funny but tremendously emotional. 🤍👻
Who could the returning character possibly be??
Reminder Ghosts is fully out now and you can watch it on bbciplayer and listen to all the episodes inside ghosts on bbc sounds
"And that's kind of been our relationship for 15 years."

Ghosts: The Button House Archives | Audiobook + PDF on my Drive
For those without the means to access them otherwise, the Ghosts audiobook and PDF are now available to listen to/download from my Drive, with the files courtesy of @historicalsnail!
For the audiobook, the M3U file should be downloaded along with the individual files - the M3U file, when opened, will allow all the files to play as a playlist. Or you can just listen one by one, up to you. I'm not a tech whizz so apologies if you run into issues, but it's all there for you!
Enjoy:
Actor and writer Jim Howick (Ghosts, Horrible Histories) talks about his love for Bruce Robinson's 1987 film 'Withnail & I', the studied debauchery of the striving, starving artist, its ache of regret for the 60s, and the strange, romantic comforts of desperation, booze and enormous herb-laced joints (lamb and otherwise).
