WANDA VISION THEORY EXPLAINED

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD

1. Remember when Wanda couldn’t get rid of the stork, even though she is supposedly in control of the town/show? That’s because she didn’t make the stork. the stork is actually Mephisto, who was created by the supreme beings. In the comics, Tommy and Billy (the twins) were created using slivers of Mephisto’s life essence. Mephisto wants to make sure the twins are born so he can use them, which is why he makes an appearance as a stork, symbolizing that he has control over them.

2. Mephisto may have Wanda under his influence, but she is still sober. When she kicks out Geraldine Monica, she is confident and strong. But immediately, you see on her face that she is shocked at the wreckage and fixes it. This is not the first time we have seen her genuinely shocked. We saw it with the toy helicopter, and when the radio message comes through. Wanda is occasionally being controlled, so she can’t realize how she is truly affecting reality.

3. That said, Wanda is happy to have an escape. She loves her kids and loves the fact that she gets another chance to be with vision. Mephisto shows her visions real corpse (the one with the mind stone removed) as a stern reminder: I can bring you back. Wanda doesn’t want to leave vision (or her kids) behind, so she goes with all the weird events and acts like they’re normal.

Overall: Wanda is not the only one in control of her reality. Mephisto is manipulating her for her powers, and in return Wanda gets a second chance at a life with Vision.
