“Mr. Poop, Mr. Poop!!” Theo shouted as he ran around in circles in Buck’s house.
Buck child proofed everything he could and put everything breakable in storage, and the kid still managed to break stuff. How he did that Buck didn’t know. At least the kid was determined.
“H-hey, Theo,” Buck called out, not even trying to chase the kid anymore. How was it that he was a literal firefighter and he couldn’t catch a single four year old?
“Mr. Poop!!!” Theo screamed from somewhere that sounded stationary—yup, Buck checked the living room and there he was, jumping on the couch.
“God you really have your work cut out for you, don’t you?” Eddie asked from his seat in the living room, calmly watching the kid bounce up and down on Buck’s brand new craigslist furniture.
“Stop acting like you get out of this Eddie,” Buck said, pointing an accusatory finger in Eddie’s direction. “You said you’d help me out, and I don’t see you doing much chasing,” he continued, slightly out of breath just standing in the living room entrance watching Theo jump. (Seriously, how was the kid still going?)
“Hey, Theo?” Eddie asked with a slightly conniving smile on his face.
Theo snapped to attention and stilled when Eddie said his name. His eyes got wide and he looked like he was listening. What was happening?
“Yes Mr. Eddie?” Theo politely asked.
“Let’s settle down a bit, howabout?” Eddie suggested.
Buck stood there in shock as Theo nodded and crept over to the chair Eddie was sitting in. He watched as Theo climbed on top of Eddie’s lap, laid on Eddie’s chest, and closed his eyes as Eddie put his arms around him.
“There we go,” Eddie murmured as he pressed a soft kiss to Theo’s hair and looked up at Buck to give him a smug smile.
Buck just sighed and plopped down next to them. “You are such a little traitor,” he said quietly as he ruffled Theo’s hair.
“Leave the kid alone, he can’t help it if I’ve got the magic touch,” Eddie teased.
“Oh the magic touch now?” Buck teased back, raising his eyebrows challengingly.
Eddie just chuckled and turned on Buck’s TV as Buck sat back and watched his best friend and little Theo, his eyes full of adoration for the both of them.
