this proves so many of my points regarding jo & alex. “jo needs to understand meredith and alex’s friendship” - “meredith is alex’s person. jo is just being whiny. she annoys me” jo has been there unconditionally for alex. hasn’t questioned it once. she jumps first, thinks later. because he matters to her and she wants to be there for him. but those moments when he wasn’t there for her - she’s presumed as whiny, and ungrateful. how is that fair? meredith has been there for alex throughout the years. during the time period of jo being introcued to the series, JO has been the only one that’s been there for alex. their relationship was focused solely on themselves up until derek died, and that is when alex and meredith became each other’s “person”. but before that? jo was the only one. and the moment she needed someone, preferrably alex, he wasn’t there. after all she has done for him, too. and so many have the audacity to say jo has no right to be upset, or question their engagement. she has every right to be upset. alex has jo AND meredith. who does jo have?

Everyone that follows me knows that I am a Jo Wilson fan through and through, so if you’re not a fan of Jo or a supporter of Jolex, then I’ll say right off the bat that you should scroll past this post.  Thank you.

I don’t usually take to tumblr to rant about things that bother me, and after I post this, this will most likely be the last time I say anything on here about the amount of unnecessary, unwarranted hate/backlash Jo Wilson’s been getting.  Even next week when the episode is actually aired and everyone is ripping Jo limb from limb, I probably won’t say anything about it because everyone is entitled to their opinions on how they feel about a certain character and it’s none of my business.  But the Jo hate is honestly ridiculous on here right now.

Let me start by saying that I don’t dislike Meredith Grey.  I think you should know that right off the bat.  I’m with everybody else.  I started watching the show and I fell in love with Meredith and this show is a testament to the journey of Meredith Grey.  However, I’m mature enough to hold more than one position in my mind and I can freely admit and address when something that she (or any character that I like, for that matter) does something wrong.
