posting without a source is unfortunately pretty common, but it doesn’t have to be. with a few minutes of hunting, you can make sure the artists you like get credit for their work! :) hope this is helpful.
I have been waiting my entire life for someone to point this out
((Also, I want to thank you for both making this and doing it in an informative matter rather than screaming at them :) ))
This is so simple and so very important.
Commission I did for a friend to depict her and Aggretsuko drinking Japanese beer in an izakaya.
She requested me to make an edit, August 2017, posted above.
The first version was from January 2017, posted below.
@mchanzo-week Day 6--First Date
Was studying old paintings, and couldn’t resist McHanzo-fying Pierre Auguste Cot’s “Le Printemps.”
Want more information about the Zine? Here are some common Q&As!
Q: Why are you creating another McHanzo Zine? Aren’t there enough already?
A: The goal of this Zine is a little different than the others already in production. Mainly, it’s digital. Secondly is NSFW. This means we can accept a wider range of media content and far more contributions. There are fewer costs to produce it. Mainly, domain and hosting fees for the website. Right now, I am paying for these expenses out of pocket and putting it together for free.
The end product will also be FREE! Everyone will be able to enjoy it in the community regardless of their financial situation. We will accept donations to try to cover costs.Contributors will be listed with links to their respective shops/blogs/patreons etc.
This is a great way to get more exposure for your work and bring in more customers. They will also be able to highlight an item in their shop if desired.By allowing NSFW content, we will open the door to a lot of creators who make more adult content to have a place to share their work.
It also lets all of us Thirsty AF McHanzo shippers get a zine focused on smut. Removing the restriction that it be family friendly content, we keeping submissions as wide as possible and filling a unique niche in the community.
Q: Is this a one time McHanzo Zine?
A: This will be a quarterly publication if the first goes well.
Q: Who can enter?
A: Anyone! As long as you create McHanzo content, we are happy to have your entry.
Q: Can I submit to multiple categories?
A: Yes! If you make content in multiple medias, we want to showcase all your talents. Just make separate entries for each.
Q: My piece isn’t finished yet. Can I still submit it?
A: Sure! We will take WIPs in for consideration but your odds are better to wait until it is finished. Finished pieces must be submitted before the deadline passes.
Q: I’m not sure if I’m good enough to enter my work?
A: Artists of ALL levels are welcome to submit work. One of the benefits of being digital is more content can be showcased.
Q: My work didn’t make it in a different zine. Can I enter it here?
A: If it fits the theme of the issue, sure! While we would prefer “new art”, we want to showcase what you are proudest of, whether it has been seen before or not.
Q: Will I be able to sell prints of my art if I submit it to the zine?
A: Absolutely! Contributors will retain all rights to their work. We ask that you don’t share your art before the issue is out, but understand if you need to.
Q: Will I get credit?
A: Contributors will receive full credit as a contributor. There will also be a section where Contributors can have links to their online shops, commission information, upcoming booth locations etc.
Q: How much will the Zine cost?
A: It will be free with the option to Donate. Proceeds will go to domain and hosting costs and other incidentals to produce the zine.
Q: How will space in the zine be delegated?
A: “Featured Contributors” will be highlighted within each section of the zine. They will have additional options. Regular contributors will be given space best to fit the layout and flow of the design.
Q: How do I become a Featured Contributor?
A: Featured Contributors will be selected by our Review Staff. We will reach out directly to some artists with a request for submission. Others will be picked from the general entries.
Q: If I’m not popular on tumblr, Instagram, twitter for my McHanzo content, do I have a chance to get in?
A: Yes! We are looking to highlight lesser known creators as well as “Big Name” creators. Whether you have 10 followers or 10,000, you have the same chance of being accepted.
Q: I want to help with the production process!
A: Amazing! We are always looking for more help with the process. Please submit a form with the subject “Volunteer” and tell us what area you would like to help in.
Q: How is the Zine put together?
A: First, we will put out a call for submissions and have a wide window for entries. After submissions are closed, we will review all submissions from the community. Notifications will be sent out with acceptance/rejection notes. The Editor-in-Chef will designate the layout and hand off the magazine storyboard to the designers. They will assemble the magazine over several weeks and bring it to life. It will be digitally published and distributed through online channels as an interactive PDF.
Q: What format is best to submit work in?
A: For artwork, a .jpeg will work fine. Please keep file size under 2MBs. For fanfics/articles, please submit as a .doc, .pages, PDF or link to copy.
Q: What Information do I have to provide to be in the zine?
A: We want to give you as much credit as possible. Required information: Creator’s name – Katie Brown vs BatKatBrown vs McHanzoTrashBin. Title or Untitled. Original Medium. If you would like to connect a shop, website, blog, please provide the URL as well.
Q: When will the Zine be released?
A: Right now, we are focusing on lining up content and structure. Deadlines will be posted soon!
Q: I want to buy a hardcopy of the zine. Can I do that?
A: Unfortunately, the zine is 100% digital at this time. To make print versions available, we would have to charge and vastly restrict content.
Q: Can I send in suggestions for the zine?
A: Yes! We want to know how to improve the publication and keep it in line with community desires. Contact us and we’ll take it into consideration.
Q: Can I suggest a creator/contributor?
A: Absolutely! We will not accept and publish that content unless the original creator gives permission.
Q: Can I put a watermark on my submission?
A: Yes. We suggest you add a small watermark in the bottom right corner if you are concerned.
So excited to get this project going! <3

McHanzo Week Day 4–Red and Blue
Sorry, I accidentally posted this on my main blog, @carmillajo, when I meant to actually post it on my art blog! D: @mchanzo-week sorry for the double post!
It’s not as polished as I would like it to be, but I suppose this will do. McCree as Red Riding Hood, and Hanzo as the Wolf.
I may come back and touch up on this later.
McHanzo Day 2–AU
A quickish doodle of Hanzo as the hot new teacher, and McCree as one of the existing faculty members having a not-so-secret crush on him.
McHanzo Week Day 1 - Morning//Night
Where Sun and Moon meet
When I was little it always delighted me to catch sight of the moon in the morning, when it was already daytime, but its face still lingered on the pale blue sky - and that’s what this was based on for @mchanzo-week even if Hanzo had lost his moon-ish design still during the sketching stage(You might want to click for a better view, it turned out quite big in the end)
McHanzo Week Day 1: Morning || Night
Different mission placements can be lonely…
Day 1
Just a morning of them waking up together, or cuddling up in bed at night.
@mchanzo-week Day 7–Holiday Season
I’m really enjoying all the fanart I’ve seen for that Christmas comic. In Japan, having KFC and a cake is Christmas tradition, and it’s more of a romantic holiday than it is in the West. Someone on the Blizzard forums suggested that Hanzo was looking at the cake longingly because he was lonely and had no one to spend Christmas with.
Heck, I’m joining the fan artists who believe that Hanzo got that cake to bring to McCree at the bar. And I’m throwing in a bucket of KFC too. Look at Hanzo clutching that drumstick. Now I’m hungry.
Merry Christmas, y’all.
Drawn at 4AM when I got a creative itch and drew this all out with only a ballpoint pen.

I corrected the mistake of the title. Thank you for pointing out^^.
Looooooove the colors and poses! It’s like they came out of an anime!
Day 1 of @mchanzo-week, Prompt: First Time
This is how I envision the first time they meet. XD
If anyone knows what movie I’m referencing, I want to be friends XD (Hint: Disney!)
