Are you weary of "wasting your love" on people that don't care? Stop. Cast your care on Him. He won't abandon you. But hey! Listen. Don't waste those energies on people who don't give a crap about you. Just let them grow up a little behind you. BE WITH THOSE WHO HELP YOUR BEING. While it's not okay to adopt the lifestyle " I do what I want" it is okay to let go of people who demand you do things only their way and it's okay to adios to then along with the pantelones.

Marry someone who gives you butterflies every time you hear their key in the door. Marry someone who you don’t always have to shave your legs for. Marry someone who accepts you all day every day, even when you don’t look or feel your best. Marry someone who puts three sugars in your tea, despite telling them “just the two”. Marry someone who doesn’t judge you when you eat your body weight in cookies. Marry someone who doesn’t make you want to check your phone, because you know they will reply. Marry someone who waits with you to get on the train. Marry someone who understands that you need to be alone sometimes. Marry someone who gets on well with your parents and isn’t uptight about family events. Marry someone who calms you down when you get mad about stupid stuff, and never tells you it’s “only stupid stuff”. Marry someone who makes you want to be a better person. Marry someone who makes you laugh. Marry someone who you love. Marry your soulmate, your lover, your best friend.

As humans we were created to have a leader… We will choose that leader, whether it be our parents, our significant others, our peers, our children, our spouses, our bosses, our teachers, the law enforcement officers, our doctors… we will choose. Even those who say “you can’t tell me what to do” or “only God judges me” still abide under someone’s authority.
I struggle with self esteem issues… I’ve never been good enough for someone - usually my dad, but also my boyfriend in the past, my boss… I’ve lived in fear of what people think of me, and therefore, have lived under their influence. not until recently have i broken loose from these bonds of fear. Yet, as my dad reminds me often, i DO follow someone’s rules… and since nothing is original, i have been questioning who’s rules.
This song describes exactly what I want for me in 2014. I don’t want to do what’s right in my eyes, and i’ve grown tired of fighting with someone over what’s morally right and wrong, so in order to clear my conscience, i must live by what the Lord has shown us in scripture. after all, he IS who is going to judge me when i come to His throne and yet, He’s also the one who shows mercy if i should chose to repent of what He hasn’t said He wants me to do. I’m not saying to throw aside the authority of your parents, and I haven’t done that, but if the lord clearly says to do something or not to, and i don’t, He’s the one that i need to go to in order to find forgiveness and completeness. Ultimately, i must live every minute to please Him.
While some find that stifling, i find it freeing. everything i need to do is laid out there for me!
and if i have any questions, he’s just a prayer away… anywhere, anytime, any state of mind, any emotion or fear i have, He already knows.
It’s not up to other people to make you happy. It’s not even circumstances that should make you happy. It’s your outlook on life. It’s the people you surround yourself with.
But I’m always lonely - I don’t choose to be alone.
You’re alone for a reason then, and you do not have to be. Put on those running shoes and head down to the greenway; put on a sweatshirt and go hike a mountain; if you’re close to {warm} water don a swimsuit and jump right in; grab your gun and go shoot a few rounds… Just because you’re alone doesn’t mean you can’t experience life. Buy a puppy!

As I've gotten older, I've found the life goes by faster and faster. I also find that the regrets i face seem to weigh more heavily. I don't want any more regrets. i don't want any more hidden lives. i want to be myself; live for Jesus and when I get to the end of my journey to look Him in the eyes and say I didn't waste my life!
I've also learned that if you're joyful, you'll be a light to someone else along the way.
A long time ago, someone asked me if I would want to be my friend. Thinking about it, I was offended, because actually, hell no, i wouldn't want to be my friend. I was loud, annoying, silly, immature, ugly, all the negative qualities you can think of.
2014 is a new year. I want to work on being a person I'd like to have as a friend. Here's to becoming a better me.
So what are you going to change? What do you want to work on? Who has been pulling you down? What qualities do you find unattractive in the people that are around you? Another thing I've heard is that the things that annoy you in your roommates, classmates, and coworkers often are logs in your own eyes.
I hate lying, insecurity & a lack of confidence, and laziness (among other things). That's what I want to work on right now. I want to be an open book with those that love me; i want to be confident in what I do; I want to be strong and tidy and clean.
