Did you ever think that part of his reaction in that third GIF is relief? Not necessarily because he’s alive or even because she is. But maybe it’s relief because she didn’t give up her life for him. Because I really don’t think he could have lived with that reality—a reality without her because she came back for him and lost her life in the process. I think that would have been the end for him.
