the reason why i like so much the trope where a grumpy mid age takes a kid under his wing and would do anything to protect them it's probably 'cause my father was never really there. He never said he loved me, he never said he was proud. I'd barely see him, just at dinner. He continues to do it and he only talks to me to tell me what to do like take a shower or taking out the dog.

The fact that someone voluntarily takes care of a kid, even if they aren't their biologically or adopted kid, warms my heart. The fact that a man, who is usually rude to everyone, has a soft side with a kid it's just so sweet to me.

The fact that they choose to be somebody's father figure and not being in their life just because they have to makes my almost cry.

back again at this because buck and bobby are now my favourite found father trope example. they are my family you don't understand. wdym buck saved bobby and gave him a reason to live. wdym bobby was the first person to ever see him and love him for who he was aside from maddie. wdym bobby wouldn't survive losing him. wdym buck doesn't know who he is without bobby. wdym mom brought two kids into the marriage you brought one
