I have been lurking for a long time and have had a regression focused blog before, but slowly forgot about and eventually deleted it, so I thought it was time for a fresh start 🌱

I've been regressing/dreaming pretty much my entire life, to no particular little age, just sort of all over the place! 🌀

I'm also a caregiver, though to no one as of now, so I let out my big brother energy by pampering my friends and pets or daydreaming about helping out my favorite characters instead ❤️‍🩹

apart from that, I'm also an OC x canon / self shipper ! I have quite a few f/os and AUs of all kinds. I might post about them here, I might not, we'll see 📺

another thing about me is that I'm an alterhuman. not very relevant to this one, but you can observe those shenanigans (and some queer stuff) over at @anthrocanid! 🐾

Little!House strikes me as someone with a wide, wide age range that he regresses to, and also as someone who can whiplash between them. That combined with his big personality bleeding pretty considerably into his little self makes him... interesting to care for.

Most common age range is 4-8 and 12-16 or so. He's been as old as his 20s before (although it can be hard for him to identify his regression when he's feeling older like that), and as young as a baby, but those are usually outliers.

Carries around a blanket that he likes everywhere when he's feeling younger. If he's on the smaller end of the scale he's actually holding it, and if he's a little older it'll probably just be nearby, like hung over his shoulder or on the couch across the room.

Not a big fan of being parented. VERY aware of the fact that these people (Wilson, Cuddy) don't actually have authority over him when he's an adult, so why would they when he's little? Caregiving for him is one long game of manipulating him into feeling like whatever you wanted him to do was his idea.

At least at the beginning, House's regression was 99.9% involuntary and deeply upsetting. It was almost always a reaction to pain or a deep and burning frustration with pain. Think of regression like the brief releasing of the pressure valve that's constantly ready to burst.

That 0.1% was still mostly involuntary, but more like letting it wash over him instead of fighting it. Usually came from being on a high dose of Vicodin or some other substance while watching TV.

Regression becomes a much more positive thing once Wilson catches onto it and gets involved, if only because he isn't alone with it anymore. Someone's there to leave him snacks and bring him blankets to curl up with on the bathroom floor instead of just having to lay there with nothing all night.

Wilson and Cuddy are both House's only positive triggers. The regression they cause is still involuntary and House still resents it for happening, but because those regressions aren't caused by debilitating pain, some of his little personality gets to shine through more.

Strong sense of fairness and justice, especially true the younger he feels. Because of this he's surprisingly good at sharing and will split things like candy between himself and his CG.

Rules-lawyer. Very good at finding technicalities in rules to get out of/around things he doesn't like; lot's of malicious compliance.

House doesn't like his regression, but at the same time, he's House. Regression is a zebra, and I feel like he studies it in himself. Keeps notes about triggers, duration, etc.

Sometimes it feels so lonely not having any IRL friends who know about your littleness 😓 I wish I had someone who I could chat to and have playdates with and go shopping for little stuff together 🥲 It sounds so fun. sighh
