Is it illegal for a Mather dance to exist without a huge prop or random ass lift of something?
yes it is. it’s also illegal for danceology, next step, larkin, dc2, and club dance on occasion

I hope the link works but, but I was bored and attempted to make a playlist of as many songs Molly has used for p21 in order of when she used it. Unfortunately some of the songs aren’t available in my region (UAE) so it dosent have every single song.
It’s probably not 100% accurate but I’ve ordered it by seasons starting with the groups then solos and then combos
OMG this is amazing!!! this probably took so much hard work
not including Mikayla for protege is crazy work.
.
To me superflexibility does stand out but in a negative way. I find it a lot more satisfying when the movement looks more controlled and not "how far can you go"
I guess it’s preference but I can def see what your saying. I think dancers like Keira and Gracyn have a great balance of control and how far can you go, making it’s satisfying for me to watch
UBC GRAND PRIX PRE COMP CONTEMPORARY

1st Lily Knopps
I just went shopping and west end girls was playing in m&s and all I had in my head was the group
I just wanted to share something that’s on my mind that lowk might be a hot take.
Obviously you don’t need to be flexible to be a good dancer, but flexibility adds so much to your dancing not only in tricks but also in movement quality. Look at Keira redpath and Gracyn French as an example: they are both super bendy and when they do combos their bendiness makes them stand out a lot. Every time there is some sort of arched back in a dance, I’ve noticed that those two always really arch and exaggerated that movement and it just makes the dancing look so much more cool and full out. The fully arched back draws so much more attention than just a slightly leaned back head and it truly makes a dancer stand out so much
On the flexibility train here, some dancers have amazing control with their flexibility. if you can control it, that’s when it’s impressive. Sylvie win is an example she’s flexible and we wouldn’t be so WOW with her if she wasn’t.
yes 100%
The Dance Awards 2016: 10 Years Later
Throwing it back to TDA 2016. The first Best dancer in this throwback is Emma York from Danceology. She was the 2016 Las Vegas Junior Female Best Dancer and her winning solo was Fragments by Kayla Kalbfleisch. She previously was 2nd RU in 2015. Emma performed multiple times on DWTS, one of which playing the role of young Julianne and another group dance she was part of was an Emmy Winner.
