“Well that sounds quite nice. I wouldn’t mind getting lost with you all that much.” He hummed, glancing at him with an eyebrow raised. He managed to avoid staring at him, since the guy seemed so nervous. It would only serve to freak him out more if he watched him like prey.

“Ah, was that Japanese? I already know a little, but maybe you could help me speak more fluently. You know… really learn your tongue.” He said, voice a bit lower than he meant for it to be. Ah, who was he kidding, he was over the top anyway, why not go in full throttle? And this guy looked pretty cute nervous anyway.

Jun appreciated Adrian casting his gaze elsewhere; those bright green eyes were more than a little intimidating. The man was certainly charming, he’d give him that. It was a shame he had next to no idea how to respond. 

“Oh! Sugoi ne. I’d be happy to teach you, i-if you’d like.” He hesitantly met Adrian’s gaze again. Was he alright being flirted with like this? He decided to just go with it for now. Especially considering that, knowing his secrets, Adrian would very likely get either bored or uncomfortable and leave before long.

“Adrian, lovely to meet you. And yes, I am new to the island. In fact, if you wouldn’t mind I’d love for you to show me around.” He suggested, giving him a smirk.

He slipped his hands into his pockets, raising an eyebrow at him as he waited for a response. He was tempted to give him a wink too, but managed to resist. The poor guy seemed flustered enough already, blushing and looking all awkward. Cute.

“Eto, boku wa...” Jun swallowed, having to fight not to slip into his mother tongue. “Er. I’m Jun.” Here this fellow was, all charming and perfectly confident, and Jun was too nervous to even say a sentence without stuttering. How he hated social anxiety. 

He clenched his fist inside in his pocket and forced himself to make eye contact with Adrian. “A-ah, I’d be happy to show you around if you like...although, I’m really not the best at...navigation. But, er, there are many lovely places to sightsee...” He trailed off.

To say that the young man hadn’t noticed the other staring would be a blatant lie. He pretended not to notice, that is until he saw his lips moving.

Was he just hit on? He was fairly certain the answer was yes. He couldn’t contain the grin on his face, as he had paused to watch the man walk away. Ah, now he had stopped. And that seemed to be a look of horrifying realization on his face.

“Well thank you very much. You aren’t so hard on the eyes yourself, sir.” Adrian chuckled, turning around fully to face him.

Jun felt his face heat up. The stranger’s freckles were even more appealing up close, with wide green eyes contrasting with his mop of reddish hair. The man had responded with such ease Jun just knew he was going to regret this. 

“Ah...t-thank you,” he got out, fidgeting. Then he found himself kicking at the ground like a nervous schoolboy, unsure of how to respond. “Er...I’m Jun. I haven’t seen you on the island before...Are you new here, per chance?” There, something half-assed to talk about.

It ha, regrettably, been a while since Jun had walked around the island. The rain had thinned to a slight drizzle, which meant his umbrella was hardly necessary as he strolled. Compared to the frequent downpours of the earlier spring, this was quite refreshing. 

As he took in the warm petrichor scent, he noticed someone on the other side of the road. He didn’t recognize the person, but as he squinted, he noticed it was someone he didn’t recognize--a pale man with freckles drifting all over his face and a shock of orange hair. Jun was irritated to find himself staring a little longer than would be considered normal, and quickly shook his head back to glancing awkwardly at the ground.

As the two passed each other on opposite sides of the road, Jun thought, I really am fond of your freckles, and your appearance in general. Then he chided himself for thinking something so foolish. It took him a moment to realize that the ginger across the street had stopped walking and was now grinning in his general direction, and another before he realized he had said that out loud. 

Fuck.

Elek couldn’t grin in this form, so he bared his teeth in a feral substitution. “You want to kiss me and find out babe?” His tail curled in amusement and he paused, settling down into a comfortable cat loaf. “It’s hereditary. By the way, where are you headed like that? Back home?”

There it was again. That grin and the step closer and the chills that came alone with it. Daniel wanted to curse himself for feeling so submissive but Jun’s confidence had winded him. Of course once he recovered, if he recovered, he’d try to switch into a more dominant roll but… That was not on his mind at that moment. Daniel chewed on his lip as he let his eyes flicker up to met Jun’s again. Damn ghost and his damn confidence…

“Wander? I… Are you thinking of such things? Because well… I think,” Daniel paused to push himself up more, but still farther back, despite there not being any room, “I think I am.” He swallowed hard as he wondered how Jun had gotten under his skin so easy. Daniel looked the ghost up and down, trying to get his mind to stop racing. “I really think I am…”

How the tables turn. Jun stepped closer to the demon, letting his eyes stray from his face to down his suspenders. He felt his nervousness start to build up to something--something that very much enjoyed being in charge. Grinning, he put a hand on Daniel’s shoulder, knowing full well he was pushing him slightly against the wall. 

“My mind isn’t the only thing interested in wandering,” he murmured, dragging his fingers slowly down Daniel’s forearm. “You really bend easily, don’t you, demon?”
