i do not like robert smirke. his categories are too rigid, too by the books, they try, try to no avail to contain the fears into neat little boxes. but nature is so much wilder than mathematics and logic, the colours mould themselves constantly, blend into each other, escape our understanding still.

and there, in front of all the macabre beauty and breathtaking terror stands smirke, too lost in man's ways to let himself believe, too cowardly to turn a blind eye.

i love michael so much. the way he gets treated by gertrude hits home a lot and i'm generally a fan of the spiral. as someone who's been to a lot of psychology related doctors and deals w a whole host of issues, the wonderland episode is so fucking cruel and also relatable. rip michael distortion, you'd love my therapist. i too wonder if i'm evil by nature, it's lovely

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

i'm not dead! i've just been dealing with a nasty art block and life happening, and my brain decided the only thing it's willing to continue working on is eyepocalypse jonelias. so here it is. i could possibly yap much more about the colours and how, as toxic as it is, this ship is genuinely fascinating, but i'll save it for now.
