I LOVE this point - because, we all knooooow that it’s in georgs character profile to be a bit, well, anxious at all times- so for him to sAY THIS??? and then NOT BABBLE or exPLAIN? yeah. yeaaah. I love it. and THEN, I can’t even type it it’s so sweet, he goes “I remember thinking to myself, why that’s the kind of girl I could almost—- fall in love with.” and then he’s just so nervous to hear amalias reply and she must vibsibly see his very ovbious fear and trepidation, because she responds “but you were so awfull” (another amazing line delivery on lauras part) to lighten the mood, but HER fear is visible too!!! and I love her face when she says it, like, she’s trying to be humorous, but she still trying to wrap her mind around what he said and at this point let’s just analyze the whole scene because it’s PERFECT- and then they’re all “why didn’t you say anythingggg” “I knew how you feeeeelt” “no but you diiiiidnt, because I was attracteeeed to youuuuuu- mORE than attracted (WHAT DOES THAT MEAN AMALIA!?) what a shame you never spoke up blah blah blah who knows what might’ve been blah blah” and then. georg. just. well you know what happens but let’s discuss anyway. he starts singing the letter. the letter. and he’s singing in the quietest voice possible but amalia still hears him and it’s almost like she already knew and was just waiting. and then I justsjsnsniskhbrjwisbdneiwebdkishwbejfiffkw-
