HOKAY so

im just gonna share something here that i realised while i ditched my exam readings to watch this episode just now

so in the english localisation, edgeworth says “i’m saddled with unnecessary feelings”, which sounds like he suddenly has been overcome with these feelings of unease, BUT

in japanese, what he’s actually saying is “私の中では余計な感情が蘇た” – in other words, he’s using the verb yomigaeru (蘇る) which means “to be resurrected/restored”

in other words, he is not unaccustomed to these feelings, and it’s not like he’s never felt them, but because he met with phoenix again, they were brought back

now, i dont really know how/if this is actually significant, but it kinda felt significant while i was watching it, so there you are

Jumped all the way to Freshman year of High School

i heard the most amazing ad on the radio that ive heard recently yesterday. it was this guy talking to these two other people and he said ‘ do you want to know the two rules to having a beach body?’ and they were both all ‘yeah!!’. naturally i thought it was gonna be a weight loss ad right?

so the guy starts talking again ‘ first, lose wieght’ and the other two were all ‘ooh lose weight you say’ but you could tell it was a bit off from genuine. then he started once more ‘second rule, you gotta exercise’ and again the other two were like ‘ exercise that makes sense’ and this time you could really tell how sarcastic they were sounding and i was beginning to wonder just wtf kind of ad this was.

after a pause the other two turn on the guy with ‘hey idiot we’ve already tried that before and it hasnt worked!’ ‘yeah im tired of this annoying jerk…..lets take him down’ AND THEN THEY PROCEED TO BEAT THE FUCK OUTTA THIS D-BAG DUDE AND IM LAUGHING UP A STORM CAUSE I STILL DONT KNOW WHAT THIS AD IS FOR

and as they get a bit into the sound effects of beating the tar outta him, you hear a narrator over those sounds going ‘ if you’re gonna insist on being an annoying jerk, you may want to take up some self defense classes so this doesnt happen to you. sign up at larry’s gym today. we can’t make you any less of an idiot but we can help you defend yourself.’
