So it's that time again. Back to ship tomorrow, and I couldn't be happier. This has been a stressful leave, I've learned things that cannot be taken away, both about myself and about others. Not everything is as it seems. Regardless, I'm hoping that next leave everything will have returned to normal status and this will all just be a very distant memory. See you all in three weeks, I'm off to count some fish.

There’s a big difference between #ThisGirlCan and other fitness campaigns you may have seen in the past — Sport England used real women, in all their glory.

And life goes on. Nothing changes. On another note I had a blonde moment and forgot the elections were tomorrow until someone reminded me of the date, I had convinced myself they were the 11th. I am now in Cumbria, and so I shall not be voting tomorrow. I didn't proxy vote as I knew I would be home from sea. My point being should you see me bitching about the election results, please slap me.

Marine Scotland, jobs go up on the government website (scots) when there is any. Pay is around 33k start for officers but increasing yearly and 3 weeks about. Temps come up more often on seamariner and Clyde. Day work for engineers only. Ships are modern, big ish cabins, excellent internals, normally a lack of phone signal unless near the coast, one day in the middle of the trip for an overnight, easy work.
