I usually don't go on 911 twitter, but I was checking some basketball related stuff and on me feed I got a video of some fan explaining how great the ending of the season i guess would be if eddie goes to another station, isolating himself and then chris goes to texas.

And at first i was like, yeah ok that is not too far fetched, but that wasn't the end. Oh no. They go on and i kid you not...

"So Madney and Henren are thriving. Bucktommy is thriving and then tommy tells Buck. TOMMY tells BUCK to check on eddie, because he is struggling. So Buck calls and then eddie answers and we see a bottle and it implies he comitts suicide"

And then one of the comments is like: "Oh, yeah what we know of ryan that is an interesting parallel."

This is paraphrasing. But that was the jest. AND I-

I honestly have nothing to say. The video and post have been deleted but I have some screenshots from the reactions to it.

You fucking hypocrites.

You know what REALLY irritates me?

The way people keep criticising the buddie fandom as delusional for seeing things in the show and are pretending that writing and editing and camera angles and costuming isn’t made up of intentional choices

Like you guys do realise there are wholeass departments of people doing things on purpose here right? Like clothes aren’t decided by eh this looks good enough🤷🏽‍♀️ cameras don’t pan places just for funsies, scripts and scenes aren’t included just because🤷🏽‍♀️

like I beg some of these fans before they hop on acting like everyone is crazy, to just spend a few minutes looking at how some costume departments explain their intentions for specific clothes or camera crews/editing departments talk about why they use certain angles or shots, or writers explain why tiny moments seasons ago sometimes are preplanned and crafted

daily oliver stark appreciation post.

did you know that a few years back, a fan had told him that they heavily relate to buck as a person with ADHD. that they see a lot of the characteristics that come with being neurodivergent in buck.

ever since being told that, oliver did research on ADHD, A LOT of research so he could continue to accurately portray buck as someone with ADHD.

just thought everyone should know this because ever since finding it out, i quite literally can’t stop thinking about it.

I really hope that they actually put that into a storyline at some point in the show, like an official diagnosis. I think that would be great, the uncertainty, the angst and finally the acceptance of it just being apart of who he is!! I know for Buck at first it would just be more confirmation of him being defective parts, maybe they would have some background of his school teachers bringing it up to his parents but them not giving a shit and/or saying it's not real, telling him to just grow up and suck it up. Perhaps Buck resenting his parents for purposely not getting him help sooner and him having to deal with it alone his whole life. It would explain so much of Buck's behaviour to himself but he may start to think that he doesn't know himself anymore if he goes on medication, as if his entire personality is because of his ADHD.

They could address his RSD and how that affects his decision making and allow him to properly understand that his relationships to other people will not just disappear because he upset them. They could even go into how some people with ADHD have sensory issues and how that could be difficult for someone who is a Firefighter. Also, how stress, depression and environmental factors can affect his ADHD as well. I think it would be such an important storyline to do, because most people think it's just to much energy and not being able to pay attention when it can be so much more and affect so many different facets of people's lives. Buck has so many of the traits - the hypersexuality, hyperfixations, rejection sensitivity disorder, impulsiveness etc, that it would be so easy to do a storyline like this for him, especially since Oliver has been putting in the work to help with representation. I love that Oliver is so open to people's theories and ideas and is willing to research these things and is so incredibly sensitive when talking about these topics. I think it would be such an incredible thing to see a character get diagnosed later in life but also especially with in a character who has relationships and a successful career, which could help give hope to those struggling and help others identify with Buck even more.

Literally no one, NO ONE, hated Buddie before Lou started making cameos, coming up with his own ideas about his character and the very new relationship he is in with our main character, telling people whatever they wanted to hear, and taking their money in the process. No one would have turned away from Buddie, or been this aggressive about it, if the actor playing the first male love interest one of them has had, wasn’t actively trying to force feed the fandom his own agenda to try and get permanent work, and apparently while disrespecting the main cast in the process. How much money has this guy made off the fans alone, spinning out stories that will never carry over into canon, just to get people to pay attention to him? It’s increased the fandom’s disrespect towards Ryan and ignited completely unjustified hatred of Eddie. And It’s gross.

buck and tommy have shared 15 scenes, talked about/alluded to eddie in 4 of those, and eddie was on the scene with them in 11 of those. mind you, buck and tommy have a total of 1 scene together where eddie wasn't mentioned/alluded to at all, which was their kiss at the hospital.

Let me explain this at a second grade level so some of you more…. confused fans understand.

What Ryan said years ago is disgusting and something that is and never will be okay. You know what though? It is not within my power as a non-black person to forgive him or not, and that is something I’ve never even attempted to do on my page. It’s clear though that he and the cast members have reconciled and moved past it in their personal lives. And that’s what it is, personal.

A certain other actor, on the other hand, is not discussing racism and misogyny in his personal life. No, he is taking specific instances of what we know to be discrimination and excusing it while also minimizing the impacts it has. I don’t care if that’s his personal headcanon. The show, years ago when these scenes took place, made it clear that that was what it was - workplace discrimination that was only taken seriously after 90% of the 118 was overhauled. And no, it wasn’t a deep fake. That’s a sorry excuse and one that is easily disproved by simply watching the video 😉

Also, since we’re bringing Ryan into this, I don’t see him taking money from anyone to excuse his previous actions or to retcon his characters actions and motivations.

If you hate buddie/ryan, more power to you. But I say this for the fucking thousandth time, keep that shit off my page.
