Also 2023 Barbies are some of the most diverse dolls on the market. Different body types, different disabilities, ethnicities, skin conditions, etc. Barbie may of had issues in the past with body weight and types but she has evolved with the times. Same with Ken.
I can not emphasise enough as a disabled activist how important it's become, especially for kids coming to terms with their disabilities, to be able to play with a Barbie with the same disability as them.
While I think personality-wise, Barbie has always been someone to aspire towards but I'm glad they are tackling the body issues. But since 2016 the company behind Barbie has really come into some of the forefronts for disabled and representation from not just including it but creating a massive range.
