These polls are geared towards a Black audience, if you're not Black i don't mind you discussing this topic as well as i do think its important for nonblack people to understand how to spot and write\not write these things, but please know that you should not be speaking for or over Black voices as a nonblack person and deciding that you know more or better. I do not tolerate that.
Its also important to understand that you can still like the characters or designs and critique the rep! (This aimed at anyone not specifically nonblack ppl)
personally, I feel like he's alright black rep because it's good to see flawed black man who isn't an evil super villain and you can understand where he's coming from
(Where a lot of people see him as a sad meow meow which in fandom places is VERY VERY rare)
His whole arc showcases that change must come within, no amount of good advice or trying to understand what went if you don't self reflect, like yeah he's the issue Besides that when it comes to him being a black man ehhh like it's not really talked about or how it would affect him as a person or even his arc and I'm not asking for this man to have crazy racial trauma but little more meat to his character
like his character feels very racial deaf, like it was written by a white person which is whatever and I wish there's more than ONE black character
