what sport do we want to see ghoap play, I wanna write a sports au but can’t pick a sport

I will watch whichever sport gets picked so please pick a good one

Sidenote, I have knowledge of f1, motoGP, football (come on England), tennis and showjumping/XC (useless at dressage) but feel free to make me learn a new sport entirely :3

basically I have a rough plan that works with almost any sport so have at it

Ghost is a sort of recluse, something something, lives in a motorhome something something, only really talks to Price, yk the drill. Price is probably gonna be either like a manager/team coach/bossman or whatever, depends on the sport, and Ghost is this fanfuckingtastic player at whatever said sport shall be, but won’t play in front of cameras/on the track because he hates being social yadiyadiyada (maybe he’s a retired player of the sport idk?)

Anyway Soap then joins the 141 team and Price is like, ‘you’d be great if Ghost coached you/worked with you’ and then has to try and desperately convince Ghost to come back to the team and it spirals into chaos

Roach is there, (Ghost’s other bff) Gaz is there (Soap’s bff as always >:3 )

Mrs MacTavish who never wanted her son in the military. Who tries to get him to quit every time he comes home for leave by setting him up with a nice girl each time.

John MacTavish who went to the military to escape feeling like he was trapped by overbearing parents, who doesn’t even like women but doesn’t have the heart to tell his parents that. Especially since they’re catholic.

Cue a mission that leads to Soap and Ghost accidentally trespassing on the MacTavish family farm, without even realising it after they were given incorrect coordinates to their safe house, until they bump into said family taking a stroll around their property.

They’re decked out in full gear, covered with cuts and scrapes and blood from their victims and it causes Mrs MacTavish to faint.

They then spend a few days there while transport gets sorted out and the MacTavishes slowly come to realise that Soap doesn’t need coddling, that he’s quite capable of taking care of himself and that he’s definitely in love with the other scary bloke that follows him around like a lost puppy.

And of course Grandma MacTavish is the first one to clock all of this because she is a #icon.

so, just hear me out here, call of duty but an arc raiders au. They all fall into place almost perfectly in my mind, I’ve got a vague plot idea and plan, however nothing is concrete.

For reference, arc raiders is a little like a zombie apocalypse au BUT humanity was forced underground after the world was taken over by arc machines (basically robot takeover) and the raiders have to travel to the surface in 30 minute bursts to collect supplies for their underground city

But first, would anyone be down to read something like that?

thinking about Jake Seresin who was always just shy of being good enough. Just shy of being good enough for his parents, but he joined the navy not the army. Just shy of being good enough to be a friend, but he didn’t know what he was doing. Just shy of being good enough for love, but he preferred men over women and the other boys in his small Texas down didn’t like that. Just shy of being the best in the academy but he came tenth instead of first despite trying his best - not that anyone knew that, he let them believe he didn’t study at all and cruised through, that he could’ve done better with a little more effort. - Just shy of being good enough for Bradley, but he woke up to a note on the counter telling him not to call. He didn’t know where he’d gone wrong, thus hangman was born. He threw himself into danger first, so even if he went down the rest of his squad would stay safe. Everybody else saw it as him leaving them hanging, going for the glory himself. Hangman was a mask he wore to protect himself from the rest of the world and nobody could see through it.

And then on the uranium mission, when he got called back to topgun he finally thought he was good enough for something. But even there he came up short, ending up being landed with the title of dagger spare.

He wasn’t enough to be anything other than the spare.

The first person to clock him was Ice after maverick dragged him to north island for a day. Ice noticed because he’d seen it before, in himself and in Maverick.

Maverick noticed not long after. Called him aside one day to talk. Told him about his own experiences of being a spare, and how sometimes that was the most important role. How he chose hangman as the spare because he knew that if it was needed, he’d move heaven and Earth to get there in time, even if it meant breaking a few rules along the way. Not because he wasn’t good enough.

Ice offered a little help too, in a way it ended up being the most valuable. Just an offhand comment here and there, said as a throwaway but overtime proved to raise Hangman’s spirits. Convince him he was good enough. That he deserved to be where he was.
