Hey chat! Guess what i just finished reading. All i have to say is. WHAT THE FUCK. I cant. I cannot. Oh my goodness. The loose ends. Work so fucking good for the ending of this book. I hate to say it. Im unsatisfied with the ending because of how much I want more of it. More information. And it works so so well, because we started with Rin and we will end with Rin. And thats all we will ever know. The world that the author brought to us through this book was larger, greater, and so much more grander than Rin than I could have considered. Its beyond the pages of the book, and will be even if our gateway for information, Rin, is gone and dead forever. What happened to Petra? What were Nezhas shackles? What happened between Hesperia and Nezhas? How good is hesperias technology? Was Venka a spy? How was Nezha getting the scrolls through? Was there even a spy at all? Was it real? What was real? Im going insane asking all these questions. Maybe the answers are some ive missed in passing. Maybe some are up to as much speculation as Rin could have guessed, but some we cannot know. Because this was Rins story. Rin never knew. Never could have known. She never got that information. And because of that, as the readers we wont know either beyond guesses. Even with her pride holding her back, with her firey nature and rage and want to warrant war, distrust, paranoia on ever wager she could get her hands on. I couldnt know who to trust either, when the only thing to be a constant was thag the world was out to get Rin, that the world saw her an enemy, so she became the most ruthless one they would ever see. But it all works so well. It was always Rins story. Never Nikaras. Ive forgotten that as I read the epilogue. What an absolute mindfuck of a trilogy. I read once, somewhere, sometime, that if the world of a story lived past the last pages and left the reader still thinking about it, then thats how you know the world building, the characters, all of it was phenomenal. This was exactly that.
