  OSTARA (EOSTRE) The Spring Equinox
   * Masterpost and helpful information HERE <â*                                         DATES: Northern hemisphere March 20-23                 Southern hemisphere September 20-23   Also called The Spring or Vernal Equinox and Easter. Keep in mind that pronunciation obviously differs between accents but, these are the most popular.      OSTARA IS PRONOUNCED LIKE âOH-STAR-UHâ      EOSTRE IS PRONOUNCED LIKE âOHS-TRAHâ or âES-TRAHâ
If Ostara reminds you of Easter, youâre not wrong! Over the years the name was changed to fit into more standard and modernised systems and while both still represent very similar things, much of the history of the beloved Germanic goddess of fertility, Eostre, aka Ostara has sadly been lost in translation in the eyes of many Pagans. Ostara was represented by things associated with the new light of birth, such as eggs, rabbits, sweets, growth and nurturing compassion which represents the nature of Spring. When it comes to the astronomy aspect of this day, the Equinox is one of the balancing points in the cycle of the seasons. This is because both day and night are of equal length, reminding us of equality and the continuous growth in our lives. Ostara is a beautiful spring planting festival that celebrates the return of life to the earth. Represented by fresh flowers, baby animals and eggs, the symbolism paints a welcoming picture for the new energy spirits that have been brought into existence. It is a day to rejoice in the reawakening of the Earth! During this time the God and Goddess are perceived as young adults, projecting youth and innocence before their climb into adulthood. The Goddess, as the Maiden, covers the earth with life and love while the God grows to maturity helping her to make things grow quickly. The Sun Godâs strength increases day by day and the Maiden celebrates her fertility. This is a time to plant our gardens, the seeds of flowers, herbs and vegetables and it is a time to honour the masculine and to reflect on what exactly makes us who we are. The Gods that are associated with Ostara are Adonis, Attis, Ovis, Odin, Osiris, Frigg, the Sun God + more, depending on specific path/cultural background The Goddesses that are associated with Ostara are Eostre, Aphrodite, Isis, Freya, and the Moon Goddesses + more, depending on specific path/cultural background The Colours of Ostara are pretty much all of the pretty pastel colours you can think of. Animals that correspond with this day are Hares, rabbits, snakes, unicorns, Pegasus, lambs fledgelings and other small baby animals. Essences that are perfect for Ostara would be pretty much any type of fresh floral scent, jasmine, violets, roses, sage, strawberry, citrus scents, roses, lotus, magnolia and ginger. Stones that pair perfectly with this celebration are Rose quartz, aquamarine, moonstone, amethyst and jasper Popular things to consume during Ostara are Eggs, honey, bread, seeds, herbal teas, sprouts and green leafy vegetables Decorate your Altar with things like Flowers, seeds, eggs, crafts made from things youâve found while in nature, images of rabbits and the appropriate herbs and stones. The areas you should put thought into during Ostara include yourself; Ostara is a time to reflect on your accomplishments and progress youâve made so far in the year and to recharge your energy to continue going down the right path for YOU. Itâs a time to continue working that butt off and readjust anything you may need to prevent any snags or problems during the remainder of the year. The key word is MANIFESTATION! Rituals and areas of Magick work are working with herbs and gardens, kitchen/cottage magick, abundance spells and animal work. Some fun activities of Ostara include planting seeds in a magickal or herbal garden, taking walks through gardens, parks, woodlands and decorating eggs.                     Video used in .Gif from here

Woah
well he really should have worn more protective clothing if he didnât want that to happen sounds to me like he was asking for it
Are we really sure he was actually shot and decapitated? Idk, sounds like something he wouldâve made up. Guys make false decapitation accusations all the time, you know.Â
If he didnât want to be decapitated, he shouldnât have worn a shirt that showed off his neck
I mean, not all woman decapitate people. Iâm not like that.
Iâm sure he somehow liked it
Look, Iâve heard menâs bodies have a way of just rejecting a decapitation.
I love all of these comments!

My Deddyâs fav actors are Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson. I grew up watching all of them constantly with him. He sent these pics to me last week and I noticed how much he resembled the actor he loves & sent this to him! . I donât normally get deep on here but here goes...... . Some of you know that my Deddy disowned me when I was 16 & pregnant đ€° with my pride & joy, Christopher, & I was broken & hurt. I mourned the death of our relationship for so long. Then in the past 2 & 1/2 years his mom & dad died who were my life growing up & I wasnât going to let him stop me from going to their funeral. We connected for all of 1 week after the 1st funeral. Then Aug of â17 we connected again but it didnât last once again. Well, he reached out to me in August & it seems we finally have mended our relationship as much as it can be since he still has his many faults...but hey, donât we all? I mean, he is my Deddy & I once loved him with all my heart & that never goes away. For 19 years I mourned him & my half-sister (which is a whole other story) so tbh itâs rather nice having him back in my life. Heâs lost the chance to be Chrisâs grandpa, my ex-stepdad took up that roll but I am giving him a chance with Kallyn. Here goes nothing. Thanks for staying and reading this. Has anyone else been through something like this? (at Durham, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/BpaAUVODQQM/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=sxrk8y50qf2x

Question for Mod Archive here: Iâm relatively new to Kemetism and I am joining the military fairly soon. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for things I might be able to do as offerings while I am at boot camp. Thank you!
Em Hotep, Anon! First of all, thank you for your service, we greatly respect you! Iâm not knowledgeable on the inner workings of book camps, but I DO know that physical activity can make a great offering. Since youâre being trained for combat, Set would especially appreciate that! Saying a prayer before you eat is also an option, or dedicating your food to Them. (In Kemetism, you eat food offerings!) If you happen across any cool or interesting trinkets, feathers, or other natural items while in camp, those also work as offerings.
Another suggestion; make a pocket altar before you head off. I really do mean âpocketâ; Iâve seen people make altars that fit in things as small as Mentos tins and they cost next to nothing to make! Fill it with whatever you feel is good for devotional activities. If they question you, saying itâs for religious reasons is valid and they shouldnât bother you further regarding it.

SAMHAIN MASTERPOST
When is Samhain? October 31st to November 1st. It is the halfway point between the Autumn equinox and Winter solstice!
What is Samhain? A sabbat marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of the darker half of the year. It is also a time to pay respects to and remember the dead. It is also sometimes called the âWitches New Year.â
Activities to celebrate Samhain may include, but are certainly not limited to:
Taking a nature walk to enjoy the last bits of the harvest season before the cold sets in.Â
Decorating your home with seasonal decor and autumnal colors (foods of harvest like corn, acorns, pumpkins etc. make good decor)
Set up an altar to honor your ancestorsÂ
Prepare a nice dinner and set places for those who have passed
Tell stories about those who have passed with shared loved onesÂ
Visit the cemetery for your own loved ones and for those who do not have anyone left who remember them
Hold a seance
Any type of divination/divinatory guidance
Join the community! No need to celebrate the entirety of the holiday with others as Samhain is probably the most private of all the Sabbats, but hosting or attending a ritual or feast canât hurt anything.
Foods/Herbs/Spices associated with Samhain:
allspice berries
broom
catnip
mountain ash berries
mugwort
mullein
oak leaves
rosemary
sage
pine cones
straw
corn
turnips
apples
gourds
nuts
mulled Wines
beef
pork
poultry.
I hope you all have an amazing Samhain, and I also hope you are just as excited as I am for the new season!
What is grounding?â Chances are you have heard someone talking about âgroundingâ at one point or another. But what does grounding actually mean?â Grounding is a spiritual term, referring to centering your soul in your body, and in turn, connecting it with Mother Earth. When these connections are strong, it can help you feel safer & more in touch with the earth & Mother Nature. If you experience a lot of fear & anxiety in your day-to-day, it is possible that you have become un-grounded.â So what is the best way to ground yourself? Itâs quite simple really â & you have choices. The easiest way is to go outside & stand on the grass. (It is recommended that you take your shoes off.)â At this time, in your mind say, âI am connecting & grounding myself to the spirit of the earth nowâ.â Another great way to ground yourself is to go for a short walk in nature.â You can stand or sit under a large tree & visualize your energy merging with the tree roots. Imagine and feel roots coming out of the soles of your feet & connecting with the roots of the tree and traveling deep into Mother Earth. â The most common version of this technique will require you to stand with your feet firmly on the ground (where possible in bare feet & on bare earth or grass) you would start by taking a few breaths. Focusing on yourself, then visualizing any residual energy or any influencing energy dissipating through your feet & dispersing harmlessly into the ground. You then visualize energy being drawn up through your body recharging you with positive energy. Feel the energy, moving up through your chakras & energizing them.â How do you ground & center yourself? . . . . . #grounding #meditation #chakra #groundingenergy #groundingmyself #earth #atonewithnature #atonewiththeuniverse #kidlife #getgrounded #findyourtribe (at Raleigh, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/Boj-dI9F-YD/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1auyxfykw0jzf

Sexual assault survivors are living in a highly triggering time where survivors and their experiences are discussed constantly in the media and in politics, leading to survivors often being demonized, blamed, and questioned.
Here are a few tips if you find yourself feeling triggered:
1. Ground yourself
Find what is soothing to you, whether itâs enjoying the presence of a pet, sitting on the floor or in a chair, or listening to music.
2. Activate your senses
Aromatherapy, music, pleasant sights like nature, or a warm space like a blanket or a bath are great ways to get you sensationally in a calmer state.
3. Take care of your body
While calming your mental state remember to not neglect your physical well being, as it is also affected greatly by stress. Make sure to get plenty of rest and try to have a regular and healthy eating routine.
4. Surround yourself in support
Please take the time to reach out and speak to family, friends, and counselors. There are those out there who are willing to lend you a shoulder and hear your story, and spend time with you during this trying time.
