Mairla Greatforge Character Sheet
Race: Bronzebeard Dwarf, although technically she’s a fourth Wildhammer.
Age: Mairla was born in Year -8, born in November on the 4th, meaning as of Legion she is 41 years old (having turned 41 recently).
Hair: Brilliant Orange, like her fathers but more vibrant and deeper, closer to her mothers famous blood red hair. It’s generally braided into a bundle atop her head, but she has allowed it more freedom in the past.
Eyes: Taking after her father, Mairla’s eyes are a golden-brown color, ‘Like molten gold!’ He would remark. ‘A sign of greatness if ye ask me.’ He would add.
Build: She’s fairly muscular, standing as tall as her uncle, Kalrum, at 4′4″ and weighing a bit more then him at 147 lb. Unlike some dwarven women, she’s slimmer and leaner, and many a foe has underestimated her speed.
Distinguishing Marks: A soft golden glow, almost invisible against her eyes flickers faintly. It’s far more obvious when she begins wielding the Light, flaring to life and overshadowing the color her eyes normally are.
Common Accessories: An interesting amulet dangles from her neck, one would easily mistake it for one worn by the Silver Hand, the paladin order. However, it is in fact an ancient pendant once worn by the Tyr’s Guard, and was crafted in the image of Tyr’s Silver Hand (hence the confusion). It’s forged from truesilver, and hangs from Mairla’s neck on a thin mithril wire, it does serve as a holy symbol for her however. There’s also her hammer, once wielded by a mighty champion of Tyr’s Guard, it was left in his tomb as the reward for future initiates who pass his trials. When the First & Second War began, none among the Guard currently wielded the hammer and wouldn’t get a chance to attempt it when the dwarf, Dolmir Oathmir, managed to complete the trials in his quest for enlightenment. He took the hammer known as ‘Honorguard’, as well the ancient warrior’s holy symbol, and left before the Tyr’s Guard could meet him. Dolmir would never knew that the order who owned the tomb was still active!
Getting to the point, Dolmir was an early father figure for Mairla (more details on her wiki), and when he died, the hammer vanished. Keeping his holy symbol (as Dolmir had become a paladin since then), Mairla dedicated herself to finishing his quest to learn the truth about the Legend of Tyr, and to earning her mentors hammer for herself (he left a map to the ruin). She would do so, also earning Honorguard, an ancient warhammer engraved with the Silver Hand of Tyr and forged from an alloy of truesilver and titanium.
Mairla also keeps the prayerbook of Dolmir with her at all times, serving as her codex, prayerbook, and journal as it once did for Dolmir. Mairla has since added to his notes, eventually declaring his quest complete after she learned (during the events of Legion) that Tyr had fallen fighting the Old Gods servants and she visited the location of his tomb.
Class/Title: Paladin of Tyr, she once called herself a Paladin Seeker, for she sought the truth about the Legend of Tyr, and later sought to meet Tyr when she learned he was a Titan Keeper, but now, after learning of his death, she now honors his ideals and hopes to better the world with them. She also has the title of ‘Heiress of Clan Greatforge’, or, as her father calls her on occasion, ‘My Princess’.
Professions: Jewelcrafting / Gemcarving, she always enjoyed looking at crystals, and after learning her mother once made a living from the cutting and setting of them, she took up the art in her spare time.
Hobbies: Exploring is her favorite hobby, seeing new sights, exploring new lands, and meeting new people. Although, technically, her professions of Jewelcrafting & Gemcarving count as hobbies as well.
Languages: Dwarvish, Common, and a surprising level of skill at deciphering Titan runes. She did spend quite awhile exploring Titan ruins after learning Tyr was a Keeper! She also knows conversational Gnomish, and base words in Orcish, as well as a few… choice words in the language preferred by the Old Gods when they were in her head.
Residence: Ironforge, more specifically the Mystic Ward in her clan’s home.
Birthplace: In the hills outside of Thelsamar, in Loch Modan.
Religion: Titan Veneration & Light Worship, an odd mix of both faiths as she holds the Light itself is holy and worthy of her faith by itself, but holds the ideals of Keeper Tyr above herself to aspire to. It’d be easier to say she worships the Light, as well as Keeper Tyr and pays respect to the Titan Aggramar for his role in Tyr’s creation and nobility.
Fears: Being taken by the servants of the Old Gods again, of losing her mind and harming those she love.

Note: I will not roleplay ERP (outside of like, ‘and the screen goes dark’, so please don’t ask. I will roleplay relationships to a limited degree, it’s not something I’m super comfy with, but I’m willing to try!

Note: Neither of the pictures are commissions of Mairla, but both are PRETTY DAMN ACCURATE, almost scarily so. And no, I didn’t see the pictures and base Mairla off of them, I had already written her description and these nearly perfect images come up. Although… I do admit, I did tinker with her armor description after seeing the images to make it closer (she originally had two shoulderpads, but I changed it to one to match the first image).
