They decided to build some housing to attract some new people to River's End. Kurt's company designed and built some apartments in the town centre, in a more traditional style. He sourced the doors and windows from a reclamation yard, they are a bit mismatched but it adds character to the buildings.

Castor: Yeah so I spent the whole break in Miniopolis. My dad got me an internship at The Chronicle, but really I was like, a glorified newspaper delivery boy. It sucked, man. Like I'm actually glad to be back in school, can you believe it. So what's been up with you? Aside from the new place. Which is totally sweet by the way. How are y'all affording off-campus in SimCity?

Kevin: Well, it helps when you're roomies with the mayor's daughters. It's been nice though. And things have been chill. Well, mostly chill. There was some drama with Joshua and Ashley. But I think that's over now. Anyway, tomorrow's the big student protest, you going?

Castor: Protest? What are we protesting?

Kevin: Some Landgraab bullshit. He donated a bunch of money to the university but wants to use it to get rid of all green spaces on campus and put up some virtual reality AI parks or something.

Castor: Ew, what the fuck.

An annoying llama suddenly appears.

Castor: ...Can we also protest against obnoxious mascots?

Long time no see!

My attention was grabbed by that new fix for pink flashing, so I finally found time to install it and it seems I finally will be able not only to finish my no cc Belladonna Cove makeover (only cc used is hood deco here) but also make it over with full cc and play it. Because last I tried to work on this, I was not able to place any furniture into any of these homes without all hood becoming pink mess. So hopefully this won't happen anymore.

As for my build posts, I was busy with work and creating content for my main community, but I recently installed ts4 Cottage Living EP conversions and I want to makeover Riverblossom Hills with those, so I hope to soon post some new stuff here.

I love my attached lots 🤷 so the market hall got this little extension with a jazz club. Fancier indoors than it appears from the outside!

These builds are on different lots, but you know how the sims 2 lot imposters are. I cheated a little with the first picture and photoshopped together two screenshots taken from the same angle.

Monument of the Lady being built at the centre of the city. Unfortunately, the council ran out of money before completion.

The unemployed builders and a growing homeless population has caused a temporary tent town to appear at the base of the statue.

View of City Plaza from atop the abandonded scaffold.

The overgrown plaza has become a dumping ground for trash and broken appliances.

Tired of the default downtown suburb? This is my take on a replacement. Featuring rundown, cheap, broken and dirty buildings, small cramped apartments, creepy alleyways, questionable venues and a corrupt mayor.

🏙️ congrats to leo for being the first sim to move into my newly (mostly) finished downtown, which i've named sycamore. it's the closest city to signal hill, directly attached to the university, and is also where the rothmanns lived before moving.

expect more sycamore in rounds to come!
