A game where the Hetalia crew tells stories that seem scary but aren't really.
For the 20th anniversary of Hetalia, here's our full remake and translation of the Hetalian Horror Show! It is currently available for modern Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android.
It is now also available to play in your browser!
The game itself can be read in less than 2 hours and is very linear, with only once choice leading to either a 'good' or 'bad' end.
Please do not repost the game without permission.

From the in-game menu or from the main menu, click the "?" on the bottom left to view the new 'misc' menu
While in-game, selecting the "X" icon will hide the user interface
Tips for PC and Mac versions:
While in-game, right click or press the escape key will show the in-game menu.
From the in-game menu or from the main menu, click the "?" on the bottom left and then click "Help" to view a list of keybinds for the game.
If you turn on the "Skip unread text" option in the options submenu of the "?" misc menu, you can skip through the game really quickly by either pressing skip or holding down the control key.
Tips for Android version:
Google is implementing changes that will make directly installing apps on Android more difficult, so if the Android version fails to install, try enabling Developer Mode on your device.

When you reach the only player choice selection:
If you select "Let things take their course", this is the 'good end' and all the mind control stuff is revealed to have just been a movie script.
If you select ''I'll stop him", this is the 'bad end.' The player sees Bulgaria wake up to find out that Russia has kidnapped him, tied him up, and stripped him naked. (Bulgaria is shown in a fetal position with his legs drawn up close to his body, such that none of his private parts are shown. Only the side of his butt and a bit of the crack is visible.) However, in the end, Bulgaria says "This is actually a pretty sweet deal!"
I explained the concept of "blorbo from my shows" to my 71 year old immigrant grandfather because I referenced it in passing and I thought nothing of it, until today when he said "I think I'll watch peaky blinders tonight and see my blorbo from my shows" referring, of course, to Cillian Murphy playing Tommy Shelby

I explained the “x before gta6” meme to my immigrant father and he, in turn, explained to me how back in his day in Romania, they had the same type of joke, except instead of it being gta6, it was about the imminent death of a singer named Gică Petrescu, who everyone was continuously shocked by because he refused to die. Every time a momentous event happened people would say, in essence: “This happened and Gică Petrescu hasn’t even died yet?!?”
So. He understood the gta6 meme immediately because they apparently had the same thing in Romania when he was young, except way, way more morbid

not to be rude but some of y'all need to look on the bright side sometimes. like, yeah sure the world is fucked and people suck and we all die whatever, sure, but like. go outside.
i'm not saying the cure for depression is touching grass. however, if you surround yourself with sad things and talk about how terrible life is and how much you're suffering and never take a breath and remember it's not all bad, you'll end up making yourself worse.
Your purpose in life is not to love yourself but to love being yourself.
If you goal is to love yourself, then your focus is directed inward toward yourself, and you end up constantly watching yourself from the outside, disconnected, trying to summon the “correct” feelings towards yourself or fashion yourself into something you can approve of.
If your goal is to love being yourself, then your focus is directed outward towards life, on living and making decisions based on what brings you pleasure and fulfillment.
Be the subject, not the object. It doesn’t matter what you think of yourself. You are experiencing life. Life is not experiencing you.

there are some people on here who, when they followed me back, I got excited about as if they were a celebrity. and when I think about it, it's kinda sweet how we do that here, and so much more special than celebrity crushes.
