Praying for an update of And The Reason Is You by @lantia one of the greatest fic in this fandom. Like everyone should read this serie i'm serious. Primarly NSN but the Kakairu angst is GOLD like I picked this up cried, giggled, screamed, gave up, went back at it and cried some more it is THAT good. And Itachi! My god Itachi!!!! Seriously people read this. (Hope author is taking care of themselves and bless us with the last 4 chapters one day)

i think being proud of where you come from is one of those things that becomes fun the more specific you get. like "proud to be english" bad rancid vibes. makes you sound like the kind of person who rants about immigrants. "proud to be from yorkshire" better vibes. i cannot deny the yorkshire cultural heritage. Was doing some cleaning today and ended up thinking a lot about Iruka. Honestly, some parts of his personality is such a perfect blend of Minato and Kushina. Like, he's generally calm and steady like Minato, but if someone actually manages to piss him off, he gets just as fiery and relentless as Kushina….

…. And since KakaIru has been my favorite ship lately, looking at it from that perspective, you can kind of understand why Kakashi liked him from the start. This chuunin with a mind of his own who knows exactly how to stand his ground. It just makes so much sense.

Not to mention we still have the Retsuden series.

If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)

At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.

Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.

this is going to sound like such a little sibling ass take but i genuinely believe that being a little bit annoying is actually a greater sign of maturity and self awareness than being universally likeable and on good terms with everyone

if some people find me annoying and can't stand me because of how i think and act then that means i'm a fully realized human being with my own personality and opinions and free will and not just a reflective surface for other people's desires, which is in fact a good thing despite what people who want you to just be a reflection of their own opinions and desires will tell you, and why being considered "cringe" or whatever doesn't bother me at all

also it's really funny when you're confident enough in yourself to know that people not liking you isn't always a sign that you're the problem. like there's something undeniably hilarious about being aware your mere existence has the power to piss someone off and ruin their day and i recommend embracing it.

What the fuck happens that changes these stats to such a massive degree?

1) schizophrenia hardly ever causes people to be violent so schizophrenic people aren’t more likely to be violent than anyone else

2) schizophrenic people’s autonomy is often taken away from them because of their schizophrenia. because the authorities and mental healthcare providers often automatically assume schizophrenic people to be violent, they’re more likely to immediately react to schizophrenic people's symptoms with violence, without even knowing for sure said schizophrenic person was going to be violent. all of this causes schizophrenic people to be more likely of being victims of violence and abuse. schizophrenic people also have a harder time getting out of abusive households because of the risk of their autonomy being taken away. if a schizophrenic person’s relative or partner is abusive, often the schizophrenic person has no way out of the situation, both because our disconnect from reality can result in us being easier to manipulate, and because the system is built in a way that it takes away our autonomy because of our condition.

so obviously we need to utilize duke thomas in more batfam fics just because he's an underrated character that dc refuses to give any meaningful time to, but i need people to start putting this man into the forefront of more crossover fics specifically. like imagine a peter parker/duke thomas fic. the chaos. the devotion. it would be beautiful. especially if some of the more popular spidey in gotham tropes got added in

duke, introducing his new boyfriend to the family: guys, this is peter! i really hope you'll get along well.

most of the batfam, seeing a polite, doe eyed boy with an awkward demeanor and amazing manners: awesome! duke can balance out our insanity with a normal, well-adjusted boyfriend.

tim drake, twitching and having flashbacks to when he thought duke was just a normal teenage dude: i've been here before

i like to imagine they're blissfully aware of the weirdness because their scale of odd has become so wildly skewed. steph notices because she has a semi-life outside of the bats, but tim is on guard from the beginning and she just laughs at his hysteria.

jason, watching duke and peter cuddle and laugh at something together: y'know, i never thought any of us would be in a stable relationship, but i think the new kid finally proved me wrong

tim, can clearly see the small spider balanced on peter's thigh waving its arms around and is 99% sure duke's civilian boyfriend is translating arachnid drama to make him laugh: i need to make a call

the relationship gets to be serious and the bats have become used to seeing peter around the manor all the time, both with and without duke. it becomes a weird spectacle for them to watch a healthy relationship dynamic in action to the point where they start learning things.

dick, staring at duke and peter messing around in the kitchen with wide eyes: didn't you guys have an argument this morning?

duke: mm, not really? i was concerned about pete's workload at school so i brought it up, we were both tired from staying up watching movies last night though so we weren't being super productive and got kinda snappy. we decided to take a break and nap for an hour and then talked it out, it wasn't that big of a deal. he has to take the extra class in order to get enough credits so we hashed out a study system and break routine, and he put in a request for an advising appointment to see if there were any alternatives because it was stressing him out a bit too. not really an argument, just needed some sleep to tackle it.

dick, astounded: you guys disagreed and......didn't scream? you......worked through it? how????

peter, raising an eyebrow: communication and healthy sleep schedules?

Tim figured out that the easiest way to get a laugh out of Damian is to keep up a running gag. When Damian starts tearing up, Tim goes "hang on" and pulls an absurd looking hat out of his back pocket and says "I've got my big brother hat on now" with the most solemn expression on his face and it never fails to make him laugh. Tim has a collection of hats on him at all times, just in case he needs to be cheered up. Gothamites report spotting Red Robin with a goofy fedora while Robin was on the floor laughing.
