3 Days After CHRISTMAS. Cold Texas Night.
OPEN to a bridge over a creek. On either side of the Bridge, trees surround the path. The ebb and flow of the small creek mix with the sounds of crickets, cicadas and other forest creatures. Feel good family eases its way into the evening. 2 Cars pass by a near by road, both cars can be hard stopping before turning, driving a little further and parking.Multiple doors open from both vehicles, close, then a trunk slams. The 90’s tune blended with nature once again takes the forefront. However, in less than a minute, voices bleed into the moment, conversation fills the air as the clank of bottles drowns out the sounds of the forest creatures. Someone says something that makes the entire group laugh for a brief instance, before a deafening silence comes over the group. People begin to cross the bridge, passing beside the camera on either side. Some carry bags, others nothing. Eight pass before someone finally speaks.
