To be clear I wasn’t harassed because of being a alleged proshipper, it was because i (woman) was being called misogynistic for saying a man (fictional) was misogynistic (in a edited screenshot) as a joke (satire)

blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll

Is songque not just elysia but better

Once again this goes back of how elysias ‘mask’ became her personality, because i feel in a major way that songque succeeded where elysia didnt was in how in our doubt of everything she says, we take her words all the more seriously. Was she a victim of bullying in that orphanage, or was she a perpetrator? Is she fully aware that DS and all of her friends know she will die, she has agreed to die, or is her act the real her? Is she truly okay with death?? Was any of it real?

A lot of superficial qualities we see in elysia are never pulled back in the same with songque’s were, because songque’s superficiality is real in a way elysia’s could never be. Being a jesus figure was a product of elysia’s love for humanity, being a jesus figure was a product songque’s fear of being forgotten. There’s the impossible biblical quality given to elysia’s sacrifice and then there’s a very human, relatable, and understandable human experience in songque’s.

Elysia is introduced to us by her overly friendly attitude, dodging Mei’s questions, just being suspicious in general, and this writing wasnt on accident. She was hiding something. But when the answer is revealed to have been ‘she loved humanity despite being a herrscher,’ i find this answer to be extremely unsatisfying in comparison to songque’s actually human struggle to accept her own death

#im still bothered by the fact they had employed so many biblical references to elysia and making her pink Jesus basically #when characters like kallen and Joyce had their own unique takes on self-sacrifice #Kellen’s case being that maybe trying to be heroic is actually quite foolish and naive #and theres nothing just one person can do #whatever. dont even care #(pls come back kallen kaslana)
