i am 110% sure that furudate is actuely aware of all bxb shipping in the community, because since a long time I hv seen that they always posts official art in doubles ie the ships which are most popular for a particular character.
most jump shonen mangas contain a huge female fanbase and cater to their yaoi fantasises to a certain degree, just enough to not put off their male viewers.
some will ask me why are the miya twins not depicted with their ship partners? thays because sakuatsu and osarin are still relatively unpopular in japan or/and they don't want to make their little fanservice too apparent when the miya twins are a pair since birth already (or they know that miyaxmiya is most popular ship in japan for the two๐) ahem anyways you get the drift!
scatch that, they might even be aware of sakuatsu cause manga illustrations show the two being oddly closer than other members of msby
and though i love furudate and their big, bful brain, i can't help but sober up a bit at knowing thay despite the author implicitly acknowledging that the characters have great chemistry, they can only draw subtle ministrations to appease the fanbase, subtle enough that if someone raises a finger at it, they can simply pin it on bromance.
i dont really know what point i wanted to put out there, it's just both comical and saddening that such petty methods are used to market an already amazing manga
or else, i am just a chronic overthinker who's tripping balls( pls tell me if i am, i won't bite)
