These are so important to the local area, right, because they create habitat for heaps of vulnerable critters like juvenile nerds, goths, and furries. I love finding these because they often have these great ornamentations that they can use to identify one another. Take a look at the piercings and tattoos, here. Absolutely gorgeous! Idk how much you answer asks, but I wanted you to know that I think Rapscallion is a new special interest and revived my Pirate special interest to new unseen hights.

I love this funky pirate game so much and me and my friends are having a blast with it, (the disaster lesbians finally confessed and it was Messy, I Love Them).

This really means the world to me. Thank you for sharing! And somehow, there are always disaster lesbians... A long-standing tradition, since my own three-year playtest Rapscallion game... The disaster lesbian pirate really just ought to be a playbook at this point, apparently. Here's to more messy terrible lesbian confessions!

5. What’s one hill your OC will die on (anything from a guiding moral position to a strong opinion about combining mint and chocolate)?

Ashley Ketchum (17F) caught all 150 pokemon, defeated all the gym leaders and retired from Pokemon training/battling because "she thought battling pokemon was like, stupid, man". She released all her Pokemon and took her winnings and opened a rehab center for Pokemon. Ash Ketchum's abused Charmander goes to live with her. I don't know if she felt strongly about that but I certainly fucking did.

8. What’s something that your OC owns that means the world to them? What’s something they own that they don’t like, but can’t bring themself to part with?

I don't know man, I got as far as giving her cargo pants with lots of pockets bc I wasn't allowed to wear cargo pants at school (too many pockets) but I thought cargo pants were cool (gay). The Lapras she caught didn't leave when it was freed bc they were friends, and now is the only transport to her secret island. That's not something she owns, though, that's just a pet.

10. Share a sentence of dialogue from your OC that you think represents them well.

"No, Brock, I don't want to date you, can't you see I'm busy taking care of all these injured/mistreated pokemon?"

11. How are they seen by people around them - family, close friends, colleagues, or strangers?

Oh she's very ~mysterious~. She lives in a forest on a secret island. Nobody expects a 17 year old girl (17F) world champion pokemon trainer who caught all 150 Pokemon and defeated all the gym leaders to be living alone on an island and taking care of injured pokemon! That's crazy!

I like that this seems to run on wikipedia and/or inaturalist as a database so yes, every single thing in kingdom Animalia counts at every taxonomic level. Every genus of sea sponge, every cambrian fossil, have fun!!!

New Mexico Senate approves bill to ban ICE detention centers

The New Mexico Legislature approved the Immigration Safety Act. House bill 9 bars the state from allowing ICE detention centers.

We are deciding right now whether we want to be a country with ethnic cleansing and concentration camps.

a totally handmade, fully-functional marionette created for the annual "Winter Exquisite" gallery show (this year's chosen medium was puppetry) at the Forbes Library in Northampton, MA - if you're local, you can visit anytime between the 7th & the end of the month!

for the winter theme, i designed a monster that blends my appreciation of this season's beauty with a more sinister, predatory element representing struggles against seasonal depression. bringing her to life was a huge learning experience & i got to try out a lot of new materials/techniques - i'd never made a marionette before! she took me all January but i'm very pleased with the result.
