We're a plural system! This is mainly Kewsi's sci-fi blog but Jonah often co-fronts with Kewsi, so this blog is attributed to both of us. Hello! Hi!

We're a Draftsman by trade and it shows in our art. It's not common for us to draw people in our day-to-day so fanart & character commissions are how we like to practice that skill.

I'm thinking about a project hail mary AU DS9. Earth is dying with astrophage and a team lead by Sisko, with O'Brien and Julian (maybe also add Jadzia but she could be killed and eventually Julian becomes the one that's been sent to space) as crew, fly to Tau Ceti to check why that star is not dying. They found an alien vessel there, that contains one passenger, a weird, grey skin, lizard like alien that calls himself Garak. Who was willing to help.

However, the truth that Garak was helping wasn't because the Cardassian sun is dying. They solved it, they had more advanced tech. Garak was exiled there on a barely functional ship because he knows too much and did enough war crime and Dukat needs someone to take the blame. He's hoping to teach those humans a little about alien technology and advanced science and hoping someday they can help him fly back to Cardassia to give Dukat a huge "fuck you" moment.

Oh and also he fell in love with their doctor first sight

YES YES YESSSSS!!!

Deemed an exile after starfleet found out about his augmentations, Julian Bashir is on the run when he finds a lone Cardassian tailor in a broken down ship suspiciously drifting closer and closer to Tau Ceti. Julian is initially curious about the odd tailor and tried to help fix his ship before it's too late.

But Garak never was stranded and his ship was never broken.

Julian ends up slowly piecing together the truth: that Garak was an assassin of a failed mission where he had tracked down Dr. Ryland Grace to prevent him from finding out about the Taumoeba (political/social implications and all that, Cardassians are imperialists after all). But instead, he ended up shamefully helping him and his rock-shaped friend, ending him up in a long and lonely exile. Sentiment.

Being Garak's saving grace, Julian eventually convinced Garak to not end it all by welding his ship to Garak's ship. "If you go, I go." And they both narrowly escape Tau Ceti's promise of death. Again, sentiment. Julian nurses Garak back to health after a nasty burn. And they eventually return to cardassia together after the war.

[Can you tell I was absolutely thinking of these two the entire time I was reading that book. My ao3 garashir habit has absolutely ruined me and the books I read.]

Rocky love Grace voice statement.

I was listening to City Of Stars on repeat and kept thinking about aroace grace. I love grace who is happy without a relationship, who doesn't need any romantic relationship to be fulfilled, but... I also keep thinking about Grace being a hopeless romantic. Grace who keeps hearing about love love love and nothing else, Grace who keeps waiting for that one true love, Grace who was more in love with the idea of romance than his actual girlfriend. Grace who just doesn't understand why it doesn't come naturally to him, why he can't seem to have what everyone else wants, what he keeps dreaming of. Maybe he thought Stratt may be the one for him. Maybe the idea of a big swooping romance with Stratt makes him want to claw his eyes out. Grace doesn't know what he wants.

He wanted to experience romance so bad, to understand what it was like to fall in love, what everyone keeps talking about... and now he never will.

Grace mourning his one true love back on Earth, someone who doesn't exist and never will. Grace mourning something that was never his in the first place.
