Are you in the right emotional state to receive a 50 kg blueberry-and-whipped-cream layer cake launched via catapult directly through your bedroom window?
Follow-up question: how and why do you own a bucket large enough to contain a cake that weighs as much as a 12-year-old kid?
Follow-up question: what series of action has to take place for there be a 12-y/o-kid's weight cake thrown through my bedroom window?

I love how every time I log on, this site attains new levels of heresy. I can't wait to see what is next.
"I would kill to protect my family" (<- wants to kill people)
"I would die to protect my family" (<- passively suicidal)
I think a lot of men just add "to protect my family" after all their fantasies
The way that the family is structured under patriarchy renders it property of the man (its patriarch), a microcosm of broader society in which he gets to exercise unabridged patriarchal power and privilege. When men have these fantasies about killing for their families, what the generally mean is that they wish to use physical violence against anyone they deem to be threatening their family's status as their property. It's why they'll go nuts over the idea of "killing for their families," but won't even help their wives with housework or emotionally bond with their children.
Op calls this move "the walter white" in the tags, which is honestly a perfect description

I think it's really funny how the practice of bleeping out profanity is not only completely ineffective as a censorship tool, it's had the opposite effect of creating an environment where it's ridiculously easy to edit apparent profanity into footage that doesn't actually contain it. Like you can just grab any audio or video clip and bleep out anything and people will automatically mentally insert profanity in there it fucking rules.
my favorite example of this is the count's song from sesame street where they censor the word "count"
This is the greatest thing humanity has produced

Let’s keep the post circulating for 50 years it’ll be great when we’re all in the old folks home
"borders arent real you should just be able to go wherever" okay so how do you feel about the russian invasion of ukraine?
that post is about how I should be able to go over here or possibly also over there without getting yelled at, it was never that deep. pls take deep breaths for a sec
"People should be able to exist in public spaces" so you're saying I'm allowed to set fire to the art gallery???
my notifications are once again devolving into a spirited debate about the ethics of actions that could potentially make someone uncomfortable, and at risk of sounding like someone about to get a lot of irate anons I think we're frankly giving way too to much moral weight to hypothetical discomfort
the thing about discomfort is that it's an extremely nebulous category that can be triggered by virtually anything and that's far too broad a category to have any inherent moral quality to it. like. my mom was mad uncomfortable when I stopped shaving. that didn't mean I was doing violence against my mom it just meant she needed to get over herself. many such cases it must be said.
there's not a single example I could give that's better than this
watch out lads i’m about to try to drrrraaaaaaaaaw somethin

In my experience, horror fans are by and large lovely people with a very healthy relationship to their genre of choice, but sometimes they fuck up and say something that in their ears sounds very affirmative of the movie of discussion and to everyone else sounds like the most sinister shit.
I mean the line that I think of first is “A kid dies in this movie.”
Which I suspect to horror fans is shorthand for “The director of this movie subverts horror tropes (wherein kids are usually immune to the monster/slasher/source of terror) to make something that is deliberately shocking. Seeing a child character die in this story is not a happy thing or a good thing, but for a horror story emphasizes that nobody is immune to the source of the terror, which makes the horror more serious and scarier.”
And to everybody else just sounds like “Oh this movie’s great! A kid dies in it!”
