I feel like people don't talk enough about how Todd some how survived the apocalypse longer than most other characters. Like he's one of first characters we see in the beginning of the movie. Him. The man who owned a puppy orphanage. The apocalypse really does change people

Okay okay okay okay…. I’ve got something to say about Todd!

Ya’ll remember the gag on the spine breaking bandit? Well, ya’ll remember how literally RIGHT BEFORE we are introduced to Todd, Donnie says he’s like 90-something% sure that the person (Todd) they were searching for was the spine breaking bandit. And Donnie is hardly wrong. And this is NEVER brought up again.

Not only that but he chose to appear for the Draxum’s evil mutant meeting. No one knew who he was. He just let himself in and stayed.

Then he kept just appearing places that kinda make you wonder, why is he there? And the next thing you know, the boys are being entrusted to be trained by Todd by Splinter. Todd has had serious survival training. He knows how to rough it.

Then the whole living with Todd, preparing to fight Shredder. We learn that Todd is a blacksmith. Sure, he created gardening tools… but the turtles were absolutely certain for a moment that he was going to make them WEAPONS. They wouldn’t question him making weapons.

And then the movie happens. One of the first recognizable people we see is Todd, duel wielding pistols and being epic. Going down in a blaze of glory.

If one of the writers/creators were to just drop the fact that Todd truly is the Spine Breaking Bandit, and he just decided to (idk) one day retire to breed and raise up puppies? Then yeah, I’d totally accept that. It would go along with all of the other crazy insanities that make up the show.

I mean, nearly every time Todd appears it’s during a time of crisis/or for training and he’s almost always pulling his weight. Or he has a special skill that they need. That capybara Knows Things that he shouldn’t. His skill set is far too strange for him to not be some type of retired secret SOMETHING.

At this point I’m rambling: bottom line, Todd is the Spine Breaking Bandit. Change my mind.

So when the Rise first started airing the Rise team was working under the assumption that they would be getting three seasons for the series but then season two got cut in half & we are still hoping that Rise will come back to get its season three.

We know what some of the scrapped episodes for season two would have been like because a lot of the episodes had already reached story board phase before they had to be scrapped as the Rise team rushed to wrap up season two but we only know the vague outline for season 3.

Around the time season two of Rise finished up Andy Suriano discussed on discord the plans that the team had for season three saying it would have been revealed that the Turtles had two more siblings 

The extra mutation chambers can be seen in Evil League of Mutants & members of the Rise team have implied that Big Mama’s assistant was one of the missing turtle siblings.

The reveal was supposed to happen towards the end of season two with the family then each splitting up to go look for them, two turtles going with Draxum & two turtles going with Splinter to look for their missing siblings.

Given that the plot of season three involved the turtles traveling (most likely out of New York), it’s highly likely that season three would have been the season to give us an Usagi episode.

Rise is the only TMNT series not to have their own version of Usagi & I don’t believe that the Rise team would have overlooked that & probably would have introduced their own version of Usagi eventually if given the chance & the plot for season three seems like the perfect opportunity to do that.

With the Turtles traveling in search of their missing siblings there would easily be a chance for Leo’s half of the team to end up in the Yojimbo world for an episode OR with the existence of Hidden Cities & Yokai, Rise has the unique opportunity to make Usagi & the Turtles exist in the same world and Usagi & Leo could have ended up meeting in a hidden city.

Either way the ‘search for the missing siblings’ plot that season 3 was supposed to have would have been the perfect opportunity for the Rise version of Usagi to be introduced.

Im rereading this post and i think i know who would have been on Draxum’s team and who would be on Splinter’s team. It would have been Leo and Donnie to go with Draxum cause they wouldn’t have the best relationship with Draxum at that point so it would be the best time for their relationship to develop. Furthermore, I believe that Splinter’s team was going to get not Venus but Jenny from Big Mama.

Why? Because Draxum would have sent Venus, who historically is the turtle with mystical abilities, away to develop her mystic powers(even if he didn't know about the ninpo). And where would he have sent her away to? Usagi’s world.

Of course, this is all just me spitballing ideas thinking of Venus De Milo and what could have been
