Hopelessly devoted
We used to be so hopelessly devoted to each other
The plan had been to save our money
And run away together to start a new life
We together there through every dark moment
Well, in the back pocket of each of our jeans
Just a phone call or message away
Always available to listen, and be there
Always knowing that was all we had to do
Sharing late night games, songs and stories
It was like a scene from a movie meeting
A magical day which was perfectly perfect
And things were great for a while
Until they were not....
From that point on we were something like
Magnets pushing away from one another
Not the right timing, not ready, just not it
Now these things are memories
Maybe they’re things I’d like to do myself
One day...
