Nivi AU 👽

+This AU was an excuse to give Cody a best friend, and that friend is my OC Nivi!

+Nothing really changes, even though she’s in World Tour

+This AU has since evolved into “Alejandro and his gaggle of idiots™”, ie. Alejandro, Nivi, Cody, Duncan, and Lexi(OC/Nivi’s girlfriend) all share an apartment. It’s an interesting concept.

+I think of this AU often

+During Island and Action, people don’t really think Nivi exists because “Cody couldn’t possibly have actual friends outside the show!”

+This makes Nivi feel like some kind of cryptid and she loves it.

More Toxic Waste! AU ☣️

+A small AU I came up with, sort of a “What if?” AU. The what if being “What if other people came into contact with toxic waste?”

+The people who are mutated are the same as canon (Dakota, that one intern, Ezekiel had some toxic waste exposure, it’s just more obvious here).

+Additional mutant individuals include Noah, Duncan, Alejandro, and maybe a couple others but I’m not sure.

+The mutant individuals can’t go back to their families, they don’t want them to see them like this anyways, so Chris keeps them on Pahkitew Island (in the facility for the duration of that season).

+Alejandro is lost at sea for a bit before they finally catch him and put him with the others

Interdimensional Remnant AU🔚

+Area 51, something went wrong, everything was destroyed. The base, the earth, the galaxy, the universe, everything.

+The gods tried to stop it in time, remove the source. When they realized it was too late, they instead grabbed the thing closest to it.

+Alejandro Burromuerto is the only remaining piece of a dead dimension, and the gods blame him for its destruction.

+Came up with this AU while listening to a song AXOLOTL by bumr, I do love the concept, great angst potential.

+Technically a branch off of the Godly Patron AU in the sense that the gods do exist.

+I don’t really have any plans to write for this AU, I just like it, the plans might change though

Naming my more humanoid characters have always been more difficult for me, so unfortunately I can’t name him yet bc I’m indecisive, but the options I’m vibing with are Rio and Ezra, heavy on Rio bc I might wanna save Ezra for a different OC. (Scratch that I’ve found an oc Ezra fits better, so currently the only option is Rio)

I’ve always imagined his style when he’s on land to be a simple pirate-like style, with that type of white shirt, pants, boots and belt. If you know what I mean? Well maybe not the boots, too high, like shorter boots instead.

I want to give an example but Pinterest is currently failing me, I can’t find any examples I’m vibing with for him and the only one I did find might be AI so I’m not touching that thing.

Here’s something I wrote in a TikTok comment about one of my Wings of Fire OCs, because wow I forgot I wrote this.

This is Stitches. They are an artificial Pyrrhian AllWing, suspected to be made with animus magic and heavily speculated to be immortal. They used to be 7 different dragons, all kidnapped and torn apart and stitched together. And they’re all conscious and aware of who they were and what had happened to them.

Gale the SkyWing was a mother, or at least she would’ve been, she never actually got the chance. She was home alone with her unhatched egg when she went missing. Nobody knows where she went, and the neighbours never saw her leave. Her daughter grew up thinking her mother had abandoned her.

Petal the RainWing left the rainforest to pursue a career in Possibility, but she never made it there. A boy who loved her promised to visit her, but was incredibly confused and distraught when he arrived and couldn’t find her. He’d asked around, and even the shop that had agreed to hire her ahead of time said she’d never shown up. He died of old age, always wondering what had happened to her.

Ocean the SeaWing was a Royal. She had guards with her anytime she went out, and there was always someone to keep an eye on her in the palace, theres were even guards posted outside her door. Yet, even with all these precautions, she still vanished from her room one day, supposedly in the night. Her unsolved disappearance is a well known story modern day (and the swirls on the abomination’s wings make theorists wonder..).

Frost the IceWing was lower class, quiet, forgettable, estranged from her family for falling in love with a NightWing who left her mere days after she was cast out. When she vanished, no one noticed, no one asked questions, and nobody cared. She disappeared with no one to remember her.

The MudWing was a runt who had fallen behind when flying with his Sibs. No one noticed he was gone until they landed to take a break.

The SandWing was a convict, handed over to the scientist responsible after he bribed the guards. She thought she was lucky, out of all the SandWing prisoners she was the one he chose. He’d chosen her because she was about the same size as the other six.

The NightWing, the youngest of the seven. He’d made a shady deal for some quick cash; his sister needed a prosthetic tail, they couldn’t afford that and their foster parents didn’t think it was worth it or necessary. He got his sister what she needed, and the next day he was gone. He’d gone willingly, he’d just been told they had a job for him. He can hardly remember what he looked like, the only parts of him that made the cut were the wing membranes and some of his organs (he thinks those are his eyes but he can’t remember. When was the last time they’d actually looked in a mirror?).

What colour were his scales, what did they look like? It was too dark in the room they had been kept in, none of the others had been able to get a good look at him. He is left only with the stars on his wings and his name.

Modern day, they were found abandoned by a circus ringmaster, guided to them by his seer. They signed a magically binding contract and joined the freakshow. From one prison to another; with that contract, they cannot leave the circus unless the ringmaster says they can, none of the performers can, even if it’s just to wander the nearby town.

Hello Tales of Arcadia fandom. Here I have a snippet of a fic I started writing in 2021 but I never really wrote anything more past what I have here. I am sharing it bc, considering how I used to write back then, I am still really proud of it. I do kinda wanna see about continuing it now, but I want to know If there’d be interest in it first.

Anyways here’s the little beginning snippet I have written down.

It is based on my Project Cythraul concept

The halls of the facility were pitch black. There were no windows to let in natural light, and the electrical lights had long since died. However, a dim blue glow broke the usual darkness as a figure moved through the halls.

Krel was on high alert as he hurriedly walked through the maze-like halls of the facility, putting most of his focus into listening. He didn’t even know what he was listening for, but in a place like this, any sound could be - and probably was - bad.

He tripped over his own feet as he turned left into another hallway, causing him to lurch forward. The human cradled in his arms let out a pained groan as he stumbled, and Krel muttered a quick apology as he steadied himself.

Eli had been frightened when Krel’s transduction wore off, and he was hesitant to even let the Akiridion come close to him, let alone pick him up. So, the way Eli now relaxed in his arms, head resting against his chest, worried Krel.

He didn’t know much about human biology, but he knew that the gashes on Eli’s side and the red liquid leaking from them couldn’t be good. Krel scanned the many doorways to his left and right as he walked. This place had to have some sort of medical wing, right?

The basic idea is that instead of going to the bonfire, teenagers being teenagers decide to go explore what looks like an abandoned government facility instead. Krel and Eli get separated from the others and trapped in the panic of there apparently being a monster in the building with them (and probably more!), because the door closed on them before they could escape with the others.

I’m not sure if it’d be a one chapter or multi chapter thing.

I thought I’d go a tad more in depth with my AU Summaries, more than the little bullet points in my AU list, to hopefully spark some more interest in them.

Animal Mutant AU

This AU is entirely self indulgent, and one of my earliest so I don’t even want to keep it honestly, but I’ve put a little too much thought into it to just scrap it. The best way I can describe it is; it’s like those hybrid AUs except everyone used to be human and now they’re a little more animalistic than usual (not furries though). It was entirely an excuse to make Noah an owl person, and then I started wondering what everyone else would be, and now here we are. I hardly have anything on it and it’ll probably stay that way.

A Bloodsucker and A Mutt

The obligatory “Vampires and Werewolves” AU I’m pretty sure every fandom has, and I know there is no shortage of in this fandom, and it’s another of my earlier AUs. I do have my own takes and thoughts on Vampires & Werewolves as a concept though, so I’m applying it here. It started as just a Vamp Noah AU, then I thought “I see a lot of Vamp Alejandro AUs, why not make him a werewolf”. It is a Alenoco AU, and it is staying that way bc I think it’s funny that this AU can alternatively be called “A Vampire, a Werewolf, and Some Guy”.

Magicfolk AU

This AU is like a rite of passage for any fandom I’m really into, and in this fandom in particular it has two branches: Past and Modern. Modern is just simply called Magicfolk AU, simply bc it started as that and is the first one I came up with. I have my own concepts of human-like creatures like centaurs, elves, angels, demons, satyrs, etc. that I’ve been perfecting over the years. This AU is me imagining what species everyone would be as part of my concept, and the show goes on mostly as normal. Though, the elimination orders are changing due to the advantages and disadvantages the contestants would have as different species, plus magic, as the AU name would suggest.

Monster Apocalypse AU

I wanted to make an apocalypse AU, but I wasn’t really good with zombies, whether writing them or trying to think of how they act. But I do know what I am good with; Monsters, beasts, mindless or intelligent. This apocalypse comes without warning, no signs, just sudden chaos. If you get killed you wont come back as something else, you’re just gone, and it can be a quick or slow death depending of which beast catches up to you. There is no potential cure for an infection, just a new way of life and a fight for survival in a world that no longer belongs to man.

Godly Patron AU

This is an AU based on my Forgotten Deities concept. I had an idea for a Deity AU but didn’t feel like using known ones for it, so I decided to use the Deity OCs I already have. Different contestants each have a god that has taken an interest in them, but not all contestants have a god. Chris himself is a Minor Deity, the God of Pride. Alejandro is tied to a banished deity, not his choice mind you. The plot for Al’s storyline keeps changing, but I do have it at a point where I think it’s good enough.

Wings of Fire AU

Another rite of passage for any fandom I’m in, as a long time WoF fan (and dragon fan in general). Wings of Fire is such a big part of my life, so much so that my Toyhouse account is mostly dragons, and all my non-WoF OCs can fit in a single folder (plus the sub-folders for organization but the point still stands). There is no set plot for this AU, it is mostly my opinion on what tribe(s) TD characters would be and, if I can find a good enough base for what I have in mind, what their designs would look like.

Trollhunter Cody AU

A combination of the two fandoms I’m really into. It started off as just “Noco but if it was Jlaire”, but it has grown into a little more than that. The whole plot isn’t completely thought up bc I think about a branch off AU more than this one, but I’m getting there. It does diverge from Trollhunters a good amount though because Jim and Cody are completely different people, as are Toby and Tyler, and Claire and Noah, and so on.

Project Cythraul AU

This is an AU based off one of my original concepts, a concept that accidentally has similarities to some pieces of media I’m learning but I’m not changing it bc I’m happy with where it is rn. It takes place during World Tour, but only the first episode because the show doesn’t get filmed past that before the entire cast gets kidnapped and put in a secret facility that specializes in DNA Manipulation, and is illegally continuing a supersoldier experiment that got shut down because the human test subjects kept dying or changing.

Past Magicfolk AU

A branch off of the main Magicfolk AU that has a whole hell of a lot more plot. Most the ‘contestants’ live in a small pocket realm created by an immortal mage and his other immortal friends (which includes Chris, Don, and Blaineley), or somewhere adjacent. This AU is set in a time where humans and Magicfolk are more or less enemies, rightfully so, and Magicfolk are in the process of closing off their realms from the human realm. The overall plot is a little more Alejandro and Family-centric than it was originally meant to be.

Nivi AU

One of those OC AUs where the OC is in a season and knows a cast member, which in Nivi’s case is Cody. Are they dating? Nope! That is a lesbian. Is she dating anyone else in the cast? Also no! I made her a gf myself (her name is Lexi), but she is one of Gwen’s friends. Nivi also started off as a Trollhunters/3Below OC, and an alien, I just reused her for TD bc I didn’t want to make a new fandom OC when she was right there. This AU is self indulgent and I’m not sure if I’m going to actually post anything on it.

More Toxic Waste! AU

An AU I made when I decided that toxic waste was not as big a problem as it could’ve been. Like, not enough people were mutated, and it’s not like they can go home like that. It has also turned into “Chris/The Network not wanting to take responsibility for any injuries or deaths that happen under their employment or supervision and try to sweep it under rug but yknow it’s still kinda their problem so they still have to take care of it”.

Interdimensional Remnant AU

Another entirely self indulgent AU that’s technically a branch-off of the Godly Patron AU in the sense that the gods exist. It takes place in the Area 51 episode. Alejandro finds an alien device that he quickly discovers might be a bomb when he accidentally drops it. He is saved by the God of Creation when she fails to prevent it from blowing up and instead goes for the thing closest to the blast; Alejandro. His universe is destroyed and the other gods want to hold him accountable. He is made into a minor ascended deity and is put under Creation’s care. When he realizes he can travel to different universes and another version of him is about to make the exact same mistake, he jumps universes to try and prevent it from happening again. And that’s pretty much the plot, without going into a lot of detail. I’m not entirely sure if people would be interested in hearing more about this AU, so I’m not sure if I’m going to make any posts on it.

Yellowjackets AU

The idea itself, @lenoeninade came up with it, I helped with some of the details. If you’ve seen Yellowjackets, then you know the basic idea of what this AU is about, but it is still TD so it’s changed around a bit. The plane crashes after the Yukon episode and after Bridgette is eliminated and the contestants try to survive in the wilderness for a year, give or take, before they’re eventually rescued. Some of the deaths and plot points are the same or similar as in Yellowjackets, but are slightly reworked to be as in character as possible for the contestants.

Changeling Alejandro AU

The branch-off of the Trollhunter Cody AU that’s on my mind more often than the AU it’s apart of. Alejandro is replaced with a changeling when he’s around 1 year old, and José witnesses it, but he was 3 so nobody believed him when he tried to tell them. He does keep the belief that Alejandro is an imposter quiet after their father threatens to send him to the psyche ward if he doesn’t shut up about it, but he never lets go of it, leading to their little “rivalry” (José just wants this thing out of his house and away from his family). Then he meets Cody, someone who is actively interacting with the supernatural and can help prove to Josés family that he is right about Alejandro, that they’ve been raising the wrong son, he just needs to get the real Alejandro back from wherever they’re keeping him.

My first proper post my my Tales of Arcadia Magicfolk AU! This post covers the assigned species for the kids we know of and some notes I have on them

Important things to note before I get into this, to avoid minor miscommunications:

+This AU is based on a well thought out concept I’ve had since I was a kid, that I have refined and am continuing to build to this day. It is my takes on various humanoid species. So, if there is a species not included, it is because I chose not to for one reason or another.

+Demons and Angels in my concept have absolutely no spiritual or religious significance; angels are not inherently good and demons are not inherently evil, angels don’t have halos and demons are much more draconic/reptilian than they’re depicted. They’re both just as mortal as any other species.

+I know a lot of people see Faun and Satyr as different words for the same thing, but to me I’ve always imagined satyrs as more goat-like as they’re depicted, and Faun more like deer.

+This is a universe where humans and Magicfolk are living relatively peacefully together in the human realm. Magic is known and practiced.

Jim- Demon

+Hije/Akull mix, takes more after his mother (Akull)

+Jim does not have a good handle on his genetic Hije magic, so it is insanely emotionally driven. However, since he had his mother to teach him, he has much better control on his Akull magic.

+Jim handles cooler climates a lot better than warmer ones, ironic with how much time he spends in the kitchen and out in the sun

+Jim does not know his native tongue (demons have their own language) and only knows common, because that’s all his mother knew how to speak

+He is extremely out of touch with his species culture; being raised in the human realm, he’s very used to the human way of doing things, because his mother was raised here. He would like to learn though, and visit his home-realm one day.

+His mother has taught him basic healing magic

Toby- Naga

+Toby is one of the first to clock the Tarrons as “not quite as human as they look” because they didn’t smell human; nagas are used as trackers, almost like bloodhounds, for a reason. He wasn’t too surprised when he found out they weren’t.

+Lifting the warhammer without the gravity thing isn’t as hard as it is in canon; he just uses his tail when using his arms failed, since his tail is mostly muscle

+His house is still two stories, but the way to get up to the second floor is different because nagas and stairs are not friends; it’s a thick wooden pole that goes all the way up to the second floor ceiling, with rungs all the way around in an upward spiral, sort of mimicking a tree and its branches in a way.

Claire- Angel

+Magpie-patterned wings

+Already studying certain types of magic before the trollhunting

+The reason the shadowstaff and its magic starts affecting her physically and rather negatively is because it’s artificial magic, completely manufactured and unnatural, and artificial magic has always been destructive in nature

+She starts feeling a lot better and her magic is much stronger once she starts using the natural branch of shadow magic and its connected teleportation branch, it just takes a bit of adjusting at first since it works a little different than the artificial magic

Eli- Cervitaur

+Antlers only started growing in around the time the Tarrons came to earth (show-wise, would’ve first appeared to have grown in by the start of “Party Crashers”)

+Eli gets a broader selection of myths and conspiracies to believe in and obsess over, because Magicfolk have their own legends

Steve- Halfbreed (Satyr/Human)

+His mom is a Satyr, his dad is a human

+Satyr features he’s inherited are the horns, ears, and tail

+Steve still plays football, but he’s not the quarterback; he used to be, but his horns have been growing a lot, which means the helmet doesn’t fit anymore. So the options were to spend a lot of money on a special helmet, or change positions and go without one and hope he was as hardheaded as satyrs usually are.

Aja & Krel- Akiridion

Ah, no, any information I have is on toyhouse, or its in my notes (I have a list miscellaneous pieces of information that don’t have a category yet that I should probably post bc it provides some useful context and info). I do plan to post on Ao3, but only creative writing, AU info posts are what tumblr is for, to me at least, I’ve seen people get mad at info posts on Ao3.

Why not post the bits of info here actually, just so it’s out there.

+ Demons, my version of them at least, are more draconic than most would expect.

+ Angels, and Ajror demons, will use their wings for balance! So people not quite used to hiding them with glamour might be a bit clumsy.

+ Wild-born nagas and driders are very likely to form symbiotic relationships. (I have an entire post planned for this one!)

+ Demons can purr! In fact, they’re more likely exibit cat-like behaviours than Nekos.

+ Merfolk are an entirely asexual species, and reproduce with magic instead.

+ Nagas do in fact have to shed their scales. (Gonna expand on this one, just need to get everything all figured out)

+ Nagas are cold-blooded, and have troubles regulating their own body temperature. They’re more likely to wear warmer clothing, and do enjoy sunbathing. On that topic, they usually really hate winter.

+ With their genetic magic being fire based, Zjarr demons are fireproof. By extension, the clothes they make and wear tend to be too.

+ Ujë demons have gills, and webbed fingers/toes.

+ There are two types of Tokë demon; one with more nature/plant-based magic and one with more rock/earth-based magic.

+ When referring to merfolk individually, the terms mermaid and merman, while acceptable are technically incorrect. The term magicfolk use, and the one merfolk prefer, is simply Mer.

+In the angels’ realm, in their oceans, they have a very large species of eel (like probably shark size) that’s literally known for jumping out of the water and pulling winged-folk out of the sky.

+ With Nekos and Kitsunes, their hair is naturally much softer than other species, to match the fur on their tails/ears. Not as soft, but pretty darn close.

+ For angels, white wings are actually uncommon, it’s a recessive gene. You’re much more likely to see angels with different coloured and/or patterned wings.

+ Nagas are usually not good swimmers, as opposed to their animal counterpart, and tend to stick to shallow waters if they must be in the water (like for soaking when shedding). Unless they’re an aquatic subspecies, they just aren’t built for the water. Even though they can learn how to swim with glamoured legs, they still have a hard time with it.

+ Shapeshifters are technically dead.

+ In the same way that merfolk have an abyssal subspecies, nagas have a rainforest subspecies, both of which are larger and more monstrous. There are very few cases of abyssals or rainforest nagas in civilization.

+ Kelpie centaurs have a natural glamour that makes them look like a normal centaur. Their true form is more monstrous. Nowadays they’re mostly feral beasts, but they used to be hired as bodyguards before they were driven into hiding.

+ Nagas and Driders don’t usually have last names. They’ll either take one from an inter-species spouse, or make one up if they absolutely need one.

+ Angels don’t have halos as they’re usually depicted in human books or media. However, humans had to have gotten the idea from somewhere. Angel Royalty wear crowns that resemble some type of halo. They’re still a common enough accessory, especially for telekinetic angels. But they’re very uncommon for modern-day angels, especially for those living among humans - they hate the stereotypes that come with them.

+ Telekinesis is a type of magic that can be both genetic or learned, although learning it is a bit more difficult when you don’t already have it. Genetically, it’s common in Angels and Dritë demons.

+ It’s not uncommon for Nekos to accessorize their tails, especially shorter furred Nekos.

+ Abyssal merfolk and other primarily cave-dwelling subspecies, like bat harpies, are very likely to have bioluminescent markings. Merfolk in general have a chance to develop genetic bioluminescence, but it’s a guarantee for Abyssals.

+ English to Magicfolk is known as Common.

+ Demons, Nagas, Driders and Elves have their own language. The Demon tongue is more common for other species to know.

+ Rainforest Nagas do not speak common, they’re not around other species or even other nagas to learn it.

+ Driders have silk glands in their wrists, and are typically expert weavers. In civilizations, they’re more likely to make a living making clothing and jewelry from their silk. Drider silk is tough, and is also used for lightweight armour and stringed weapons or instruments.

+ There is a type of magic called Leeching. It’s a rare type of genetic magic that can skip generations before finally showing up again. People with Leeching cannot develop their own magic, but they can absorb the magic of others when it’s being used and make it there own, and even use their own energy to return it tenfold.

+ Merfolk can wear shirts if they live underwater. The fabric they make and use is lighter, typically waterproof, and more breathable, taking into consideration a merfolk’s gills and if they’ll be covered.

+ Blood Magic, while not illegal, is very frowned upon. Certain types of healing magic fall under blood magic, including resurrection.

+ A Siren's fins are often feather-like, and are sometimes clustered together in some places (i.e. the tail fin is a few smaller fins together).

With season 4 of From coming out soon, I’d like to propose a Total Drama “From” AU, like Total Drama in the setting of From.

I had an idea for an AU back when I was watching it, bc I have a habit of imagining Total Drama combined with whatever movie or she I’ve watched recently, however briefly it lasts (the TD Superstore AU I considered when I was watching that). And now that I’m getting a lot of From on my TikTok fyp in anticipation for the new season, I am thinking of a From AU again.

How would it work/how would they all end up in the town? Either the WT cast bus or both buses from Celebrity Manhunt end up at the fallen tree, depending on how much of the Gen 1 cast I want to actually be in the situation (leaning towards both buses bc it makes more sense distance-wise, probably gives them more opportunity to run into the tree).

I don’t really have many ideas for this yet, mainly bc I’m not sure how interested other people would be, but I am really into From and it’s concept.

Hello Tales of Arcadia fandom! I’m finally trying to actually make something of my Magicfolk AU for Tales of Arcadia (basically a rite of passage for any fandom I’m interested in enough), and I am having trouble with the assigned species for some characters, so I’m here asking for help!

I am going to supply links to the Magicfolk information I do have, including:

+ a list of species/subspecies

+ species stereotypes

+ species hierarchy-ish info

I only really need help with what the human characters would be if they weren’t human (trolls are still trolls, and aliens are still aliens).

Some characters do already have species assigned that I’m pretty set on, but I’d still like to see other’s opinions! (A character remaining human is completely an option!)

I do already know Douxie is going to be a halfbreed, and he’s half human, but I am having trouble deciding on the other half, so that specifically would be nice to get opinions on.

I am thinking of switching around the elimination orders (plural, not just gen 1) for my main Magicfolk AU; being a different species means different advantages and disadvantages, especially if Chris doesn’t use the “no magic” rule I originally had planned, bc let’s be real he would allow magic simply bc it would lead to more problems and more problems means more drama. Only one that would be excluded is reboot bc I haven’t watched it yet (dunno how or where) and I frequently forget it exists.

Should I do it?
