For one, I don't know how someone can call themselves a fan of Marble Hornets, or perhaps any of Tim Sutton's other works, which is *art* by the way, and also engage with ai. I know that there will always be people who believe AI art is real art, but if you actually engage with art at all you know that it isn't.
And then to go as far as to generate fake images of REAL PEOPLE is insane. Everyone can agree, as it is a fact, that generating deepfakes of people is immoral. Wholely and completely immoral. Especially without their consent, which obviously, was definitely not given in this scenario.
People are forgetting, you don't know him!!!! You don't know Tim Sutton at all. You are not friends or anything else. YOU DON'T KNOW HIM! No ai generated image is going to change that fact. So stop feeding into your own parasocial behavior and move on with your life! You can interact with people and media without being weird and creepy as fuck. And we as a fandom, we as fans, are so lucky to have this space to interact directly with Tim Sutton, and Troy Wagner, and Joseph Delage, so stop being fucking creepy and crazy and ruin it all. It's so rare to get this level of connection with celebrities or idols or whatever they are to you, so can't we appreciate what we have and be normal about it????
I get that there are a lot of younger fans, I get that some people don't know how to exist on the internet. I understand that a lot of these people might have good intentions, however, you all need to grow the fuck up. Stop being so childish, learn to be a person. Learn about morality, learn how to interact with people. Learn how to respect the boundaries of people, including celebrities, who are still REAL PEOPLE.
