OFF CAMPUS 1.04
I know you’re probably super busy, but please keep writing for beau🙂↕️🙂↕️
I take every crumb you give me🫶🫶🫶🫶
Hi, love! 🩷 I’m a bit busy but not too bad. I’m definitely going to keep writing for Beau. Especially because I feel like there’s a bit of a shortage for him (which I understand!).
I’ve been working on many, many things. I’m also helping my cousin write a Beau fic on a different account so maybe I can talk to her and see if she’ll let me put it on here as well. But I promise more Beau is coming y’all’s way. 🫶🫶
Cruel Summer | Slytherin Boys
ii. Is it too soon to do this yet?
A relaxing day on the beach is just what everyone needed. You could’ve had a better time if you would’ve kept some secrets to yourself. It didn’t matter what you told your friends though, not when a drunken kiss may change everything…
Pairing: Lorenzo Berkshire x Fem! Reader, BFF Mattheo x BFF reader (platonic)
Warning(s):
Word count: mentions of alcohol, drugs (weed), sexual activities, probably some grammar/spelling mistakes due to not editing, maybe a few cuss words, and kissing.
Note: this ended badly… but if I continued it then I would’ve had to redo part 3. Any who… this sucks so I apologize in advance! 😆🫢
Part One | Part Two | Part Three | Part Four
*Not Edited* (what’s new?😭)
“Okay, spill!” Pansy spoke excitedly as the four of you laid your beach blanket down and towels. You knew that the girls were wanting to gossip and that was a big reason they had wanted to leave early.
But you honestly didn’t know what Pansy was wanting to hear, “Spill what?” You asked carefully picking up your sunscreen oil to protect your skin but tan you at the same time.
Daphne playfully shoved you before plopping down next to you, “you and Mattheo! We know you claim to be friends but there’s something there.”
You scoffed shaking your head, “there’s nothing there. Matt just knows me well and he knows things that no one else does.” You shrugged as you explained. There was a whole reason you and Riddle were closer than the others and it honestly made you happy to not trauma bond with everyone else.
“Please, you’re always different around the guys and–“ Astoria started but stopped at her own words and looked at you surprised. “If you truly don’t like Mattheo then…”
Pansy and Daphne looked confused as they tried to understand what the youngest of the group was saying. You blushed knowing that Astoria was on your trail to something that only Mattheo had figured out. You hadn’t even confirmed it for him but he didn’t need you too to know how you felt about Lorenzo.
“You’re into Lorenzo.” Astoria stated her mouth hanging open in shock after she realized.
You blushed but didn’t argue as you slipped your sunglasses on your face and laid down.
Pansy let out a dramatic gasp as she processed what the youngest had said and your reaction. “No! No way!”
You sighed, “is that so hard to believe?” You asked grabbing your book from beside you.
“Yes!” Pansy shrieked. “Enzo has been sending heart eyes your way since fourth year and I just thought you were friend-zoning him because of Matt.”
You rolled your eyes behind your glasses, “he doesn’t see me like that. You’re seeing things Pans.” You replied back and cracked open your book to where you left off last night. “If he was so into me then why did he leave with different girls at every party?”
Daphne nudged you, “probably because he thinks you’re into Mattheo.”
You ignored them and just got into your book to avoid the conversation. They were delusional because to you there was no way Lorenzo would be into you.
He was handsome (much like the rest of the boys) but he had a way about him. He was well calculated and didn’t speak with his emotions. He actually thought things through before speaking. He could be rude and rough when needed and he usually was to certain people around the castle at Hogwarts. He had the charming smile that made girls swoon but you would almost call it out as a fake and say that his genuine smile is more charming than the half-cocky one he used at school.
He cared about you on some level, and you knew that. It just wasn’t as deep as the girls were making it out to be and the reason you couldn’t trust them was because they thought you were with Mattheo.
“Here comes lover boy.” Pansy teased as she quickly slapped your hand.
You hated how fast your eyes moved off your book to see Lorenzo walking towards you all. You could tell something was off by his facial features. Jaw clenched, eyes narrowed, posture stiff, and lips in a line. He was angry or frustrated and part of you wanted to know why.
Once Enzo got closer Daphne had decided to take a ‘walk’ even though you knew that she was moving so Enzo could sit.
“Enz, you okay?” You asked softly once his posture seemed to relax a bit after he got far enough away from the house. “Enzo.” You called trying to get his attention. You grabbed his hand for a moment so he was tore out of his thoughts. “Everything okay with you?”
His eyes looked over you before nodding, “yeah. It’s just—the boys… forget about it.” He shrugged it off sitting beside you where Daphne had left.
“Is Matt giving you a hard time? I can talk to him.” You offered knowing how much the Riddle boy liked to get under Lorenzo’s skin. You knew it was because his didn’t react in emotions which bothers Mattheo to a certain extent that Enzo has such good control.
His jaw flexed, something you didn’t miss, “No. it’s fine.”
“If you change your mind let me know.”
🏖️
“I have to say this is a lot better than the estates.” You mumbled as the breeze blew your hair. The sun was dipping below the horizon and the air wasn’t as hot as it was earlier. The waves gently crashed on the sand and the water barely reached your toes.
Enzo let out a hum in agreement seeing as the two of you had snuck off for a walk while the rest were getting ready to head back. They just couldn’t wait to break into the liquor cabinet. “You don’t like the estates?” He asked jokingly as his hand brushed against your accidentally.
You huffed a laugh, “the estates aren’t bad it’s the idea of being home.” You mumbled knowing how your parents are the worst right after the Riddles of course. “Besides why do each of our families need 25 bedrooms per mansion?” You commented trying to ease the heavy tension that you had caused.
Enzo let himself laugh at your bedroom comment, “you’re right to ask that question.” He nodded.
The two of you walked in silence as you walked towards the house. You were still a little ways away from it but you two had started your walk back. Lorenzo’s posture seemed to change once you two had almost reached the house.
He cleared his throat as you two paused on the back deck, “I don’t want to come off in the wrong way, but is there anything going on between you Mattheo?”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion as to why he would ask that question, “No. we’re friends…. Best friends and that’s it.” You replied.
Lorenzo opened his mouth to reply but the back door opened and an already tipsy Daphne stepped outside, “Took you two long enough! Come inside and let’s get this night started.”
You shook your head slightly at the sight before following the girl you called your friend inside.
The house already smelled like a bar and most of your friends were already tipsy. You could also smell a strong scent of weed, no doubt coming from your best friend and Theo.
“This house smells like bad decisions.” You mumbled and Enzo nodded slightly agreeing with you.
This was going to be a long night.
🌌
It had taken around two hours to get you even as close to tipsy as your friend had gotten in less than 30 minutes. Given, your friends had probably drank fast and also they were probably sharing Theo and Mattheo’s joints as well.
“Never have I ever given a lap dance.” Astoria said while Pansy smirked as she threw her shot back and leaned back on Blaise.
You cringed before throwing your shot back and slamming down the glass on the coffee table. Daphne, astoria, and the boys just looked between you and Pansy. You shrugged and leaned back against the sofa.
“My turn,” Theo smirked as his eyes traced the guys. “Never have I ever had sex with anyone in this group that I haven’t dated.”
You were going to die. You were honestly going to die. You panicked and looked up at Mattheo who was already looking at you. You knew that the secret was bound to come out but why did it have to now? Why when it felt like you were getting closer to Lorenzo.
You huffed before picking up a shot glass and knocking it back before slamming it down, angrily this time. Mattheo smirked at you with red-rimmed eyes before throwing his back too.
“I knew it!” Theo yelled happily as he pointed, drunkenly, between you and Mattheo. “I knew you two were sleeping together.”
Your gaze landed over beside you, where Lorenzo was. His eyes were already locked on you, but you couldn’t decipher his emotions. He looked angry but also hurt in a way you didn’t understand.
“I think that’s enough for me.” He cleared his throat and got up to head towards his room. He had drank but not enough to be drunk… maybe a little foggy. Nothing the way he normally would.
“Enzo,” you called as he walked away. You inhaled shakily before standing up and following him towards his room. “Lorenzo.” You tried again only for him to ignore you again. “Lor-“
He stopped and turned towards you in the empty hallway which caused you to stop. “It’s fine, Y/N.” He lied and you could tell. “You didn’t have to tell me that you had something going on.”
“We don’t.” You argued back. Watching as his eyes looked over you as if he was looking and reading every emotion. “It happened once, yes, but we were drunk and it was after a party.”
“You don’t owe me an explanation.” He tried to assure you but you could tell his emotions weren’t normal.
“But you’re looking at me like I lied to you and I didn’t.” You argued back as tears came to your eyes at the thought of him not believing you. You blamed the alcohol because you were normally good at concealing your emotions. “Matt and I are just friends and the reason we’re so close is because he was their one night when my parents were disciplining me and he-“ you stopped as you felt a wave of anxiety rush through you as you thought about it.
Enzo let a small sigh slip, “you don’t owe me an explanation on your life.” He whispered as he stepped a bit closer and placed his hand on your jaw. “You’re allowed to do whatever you want.”
You looked up at him, “whatever I want?” You asked softly as you tried to read his emotions. “What if what I want is for you to kiss me?”
Lorenzo’s eyes scanned your face as he tried to read you to understand what you were playing at. “As much as I would love too… you’re Mattheo’s significant other.” He whispered but laid his forehead against yours.
“I’m not something someone can own.” You whispered bringing your hands up to his neck. “I’m not with Riddle.”
You moved first, leaning in closer because he was afraid he was messing with his friends girl. You tilted your head slightly and used your hand to push his head closer to you. You brushed his lips with yours carefully to see if he had enough power to push you away.
When he didn’t pull away; you took that as a sign to continue. You carefully placed your lips on his. Just testing to see if he kissed back, which he indeed did. The kiss was slow, careful, and gentle. Not the way you pictured it to be.
You pulled back after a moment. Allowing yourself to take a breath. You opened your mouth to speak but was cut off by his lips on yours again. This time it was faster, a little more rushed, and not as careful.
You only pulled back when you heard a laugh. A drunken Blaise and Pansy stumbling to their room all while making out in between. You huffed a laugh and turned your gaze back to the boy in front of you.
“I’ll let you go to your room.” You whispered looking up at him and backing away.
Enzo gripped your hand so you wouldn’t completely leave, “stay with me tonight.”
You hesitated, not knowing what tomorrow morning would bring. “You sure?”
Instead of responding; Enzo simply pulled you towards his room and shut the door behind you two. You weren’t sure what would happen tomorrow, but you didn’t want to be concerned about that in this moment.
Part 2/4 completed.
Sneaking Around | B. Maxwell
There was no logical explanation as to why she wanted to hide her relationship from her roommates… except for the fact that she was afraid they wouldn’t understand why she fell for him. Beau didn’t mind sneaking around though, as long as he got to be with her.
Pairing: Beau Maxwell x Fem! Reader (established relationship)
Warning(s): a few cuss words, maybe illusions to sex, mentions of sex (no smut), coloring date (some may be offended or disgusted? Idk why but..), mentions of future, sneaking around, soft! Beau, best friend! Dean.
Word Count: 3.8k
Request: Yes | No
Note: so I’m tired of all the ☠️ memes and talk. So here’s a cutesy little fluffy post. I love Beau and he’s my favorite. Also my TikTok is flooded with off campus right now and how did I never notice Beau handing Tucker a coconut during the drunk Shakespeare? 😂 This is my first off campus fic so… I guess I’m officially writing for it now. 🤪 (I also read the books like in 2016 or 2017 but I’m re-reading them now so if anything is ever a bit different from the show that might be why)
*Not Edited!* (are we surprised? 🥲)
You didn’t mean to keep your relationship a secret for as long as you had. You meant to tell Allie and Hannah within a few weeks or months after you started seeing Briar U’s quarterback, but then things kept popping up. Allie and Sean kept splitting and Hannah kept her focus on her jobs and scholarship to-do’s. You understood that they had their own issues to worry about and it never seemed like a good time. You didn’t want to seem inconsiderate by flaunting your happiness in front of them.
Fast forward to now, your junior year of college has come and you were currently still seeing your boyfriend. It had been over a year at this point but Beau didn’t seem to mind as long as he got to be with you. He would rather be with you in secret than not be in your life at all.
It wasn’t like you were a secret to everyone, after all, you had met each others parents/guardians (and extended family) and made it clear that you were serious about each other. Dean also knew because Beau couldn’t really keep anything from him even if he tried. The two men knew each other too well.
“Are we still on for girls night?” You had curiously asked Friday morning knowing that the three of you had always planned a night of movies, dinner, and drinks. Especially since Hannah only drank in privacy.
Hannah sighed, “I can’t tonight. I have practice for the showcase and then I have a tutoring session with Garrett.” She gave you an apologetic smile. “Rain check?”
You nodded, “sure. No problem.” You assured giving her a reassuring smile before moving your gaze to a guilty looking Allie. “Let me guess? You’ve got a date with Sean?”
Allie gave a soft smile, “I’m staying at his tonight.” She replied softly. “But I can cancel if you still wanted to have our girls night…”
You shook your head, “No, don’t cancel your plans for me.” You assured. “We have a girls night once a week. I’ll find something to do.”
Allie gave you a knowing look as a smirk grew on her face, “you’ll be here alone… so maybe you should find someone to do.” She suggested.
Hannah let out a little laugh but nodded her head anyways in agreement, “it’s been what? Freshman year since you’ve hooked up with someone?”
You didn’t say anything, but ‘If you two only knew’ was repeating in your head. It hadn’t been freshman year (obviously) but Beau just happened to wonder in your life not to long after your last hook-up. “I’m happy right now.” You admitted honestly to your girls. “I really don’t need to hook-up with anyone.”
Allie huffed, “everyone needs to have good sex once in a while.” She spoke confidently, “it’s only natural.”
“Aren’t you friends with one of Garrett’s groupies?” Hannah spoke up and you slightly nodded. “They’re all good looking so why not him?”
You cringed internally at the thought of screwing Beau’s best friend. You loved Dean but not in any type of romantic or sexual manner. He was someone you could trust and lean on for anything, and a part of you would forever thank Beau for introducing you to that part of Dean.
You shook your head at Hannah’s suggestion once you broke out of your thoughts, “Never going to happen.”
Allie’s face looked like she was lost in a thought for a moment before she looked from you to Hannah and back again, “who was that dude in your ethics class?” She asked trying to think.
“The one who hangs out with Garrett and the hockey team?” Hannah asked, slinging her back over her shoulder. “If you’re talking about him it’s probably—I think Garrett said his name is Beau.”
Allie turned back to you, “how about him?” She asked. “You two are insufferable.” You muttered before grabbing your bag and heading towards the door so you could get to class.
🫧
Half of your school day was over and you had yet to see your friends or Beau for most of the day. Which it was a given because you had a few different classes and everyone had their own lives outside of the friend group. You were currently grabbing lunch since you had a decent break between classes.
“Hey beautiful.” A soft voice whispered close to your ear before you noticed your boyfriend walk around the table and sit across from you.
A smile grew on your face causing you to bite your lip to keep it from stretching into a grin. “Hey,” you replied softly. “How’s your day been so far?” You asked knowing some of his schedule.
He shrugged acting nonchalant; “as boring as usual.” He muttered before mentioning something that had happened in conditioning earlier. “You wanna swing by the house before your girls night?”
You huffed a laugh, “about that… there’s no girls night anymore.” You replied. “Allie is staying with Sean and Hannah is tutoring Garrett.”
Beau’s eyebrows shot up, “they bailed?”
You shrugged, “we have them often so it’s not like it’s too important.” You assured while giving him a smile. “That also means that I have the dorm to myself…. So I was thinking that you could swing by for a bit? Hannah won’t be back until late and it gives us time to hang in my space.”
He smiled, “sounds like a plan, baby.” He agreed leaning back in his chair.
You hesitated for a moment before meeting his gaze again, “you don’t have to be in a rush either.”
That grabbed his full undivided attention (not like you didn’t have it anyway) as a look of shock seemed to cross his eyes. “Are you saying you don’t care to finally be semi-public?” A teasing tone could be heard in his voice making you roll your eyes.
“It’s long over due, isn’t it?” You asked softly.
Beau’s eyes softened as they looked over you, “what changed your mind?”
You shrugged and thought about it for a moment, “you know I love you, right?”
“Yeah, and you know that I love you.” He assured softly but also watching you carefully.
“Maybe they’ll understand more than I think.” You mutter as you feel him grab your hand easily from across the table. “and it would be nice if they quit trying to suggest people for me to hook-up with.”
His eyebrows furrowed, “who are they suggesting?”
You pursed your lips, “well the last one they mentioned was you.”
“Can’t argue with that.” He teased causing a scoff and an eye roll to come from you.
“Yeah and the other one was Dean.” You huffed. “But I’m pretty sure she was hinting at me being with anyone in the hockey house.”
“Dean? Really?” He asked and you nodded thinking back to what Hannah had told you.
Before you could say anything a mop of blonde hair plopped himself down beside your boyfriend, “what about me?” He asked flashing his dimpled smile.
You shook your head not wanting to mention what Hannah had said, but apparently Beau didn’t mind. “Her roommate mentioned her hooking up with you.” Your boyfriend muttered.
Dean’s eyes glistened with a teasing in them, “As much as I would love too. I think bro-code out weighs that.” His reply earned a glare from Beau causing him to joking put his hands up in surrender. “Let me guess, Wellsy thinks your lonely?”
You sighed, “something like that.” You muttered; “my roommates think everyone needs good sex at least once a week.”
Dean nodded, “they aren’t wrong.” He agreed with Allie which wasn’t surprising to you.
You rolled your eyes before throwing a fry off your to-go basket at the blonde’s face. “I have plenty of that.” You assured not missing the smirk that grew on Beau’s face.
Dean snorted, “I don’t doubt it.” The teasing tone was still very prominent in his voice. “You got Beau Maxwell to be in a committed relationship…. You deserve a cookie.” He joked.
Beau rolled his eyes, “seriously dude?”
Dean sent the couple a smirk, “what? You know how many girls want to be in her place right now?” He then turned his attention solely on Beau, “you know how many men want to be in your place right now?” He added.
“I know I’m lucky she chose me.” Beau replied his eyes narrowed at his best friend.
“Damn straight.” Dean replied with a teasing smirk.
You let out a breath, “on that note… I’m leaving.” You muttered and stood up from your seat. “I’ll see you tonight.”
“I love you.” Beau called softly after you.
Dean snorted, “you’re so pussy whipped.”
🫧🫧 You sat at the kitchen table three cases of markers laying on the table. Some would say coloring was for children, but it was a stress reliever for you when you wanted something that was simple. Snacks were also lying along the table as well as drinks and your own custom cocktail. Beau was to be over after football practice was concluded.
Allie🌺 Did you find someone? You: I’m not hooking up with anyone. I’m a relationship girlie now. You know that. Allie🌺 Hooking up might be the start of something more 🤷♀️
You sighed laying your phone down. You loved Allie and you knew your friends wanted you happy, but sometimes they need to leave things alone. It’s partly your fault as well, since they don’t know you and Beau are together.
A knock on the door tore you out of your thoughts. You laid your marker down and went to open the door to see Beau looking as attractive as ever. His hair was still wet from his shower in the locker room.
“Hey, baby.” Beau greeted once you opened the door. He walked forward and placed a kiss on your forehead before walking into your dorm.
You smiled softly at the man you were in love with, “hey.” You greeted back while shutting your dorm door.
Beau stopped when he noticed the coloring book, markers, snacks, and drinks laid out on the kitchen table. “Doing a coloring date, are we?” He asked teasingly.
You huffed a laugh, “No. I was just stressed about midterms and I wanted something to calm my nerves.” You explained before going over and starting to clean up the markers.
Beau was right behind you, stopping you from cleaning up the markers. Without saying a word, he sat down in the chair beside your pulled out one and picked a page from your pile. “If my girl’s stressed, then I’m here to help her forget about it.” He spoke softly taking the markers out of your hand.
You felt a blush creep up if the heat radiating from your face was any indication. “You don’t have to color.” You assured as your boyfriend took the lid off a green marker and started coloring a tree that was on his page. “Beau, really it’s fine. You always make everything better anyways…”
Beau huffed playfully moving his gaze to you, “shut up and sit down with me.” He demanded yet his tone was still as soft as it had been.
You smiled to yourself with your heart full of love before sitting down beside him. You were back in your original spot and coloring the page. You two sat quietly, with Beau stealing drinks of your cocktail you had made every once in awhile.
You loved Beau. You truly did because what type of man would willingly sit and color with you. Letting you know that he only cared about being in your presence. Your heart was so full just thinking of him and all the ways that he proved to you that he loved you. Ways that were silent and caring, and not loud or overly sexual.
These are the days that you would remember and reminisce on when you two were old and gray. You smiled thinking about that, even though you and Beau hadn’t exactly mentioned getting married you both knew that you were in each other’s futures.
“What’s got you all smiley?” Beau spoke after a while of silence. Your eyes met his gaze, both of your eyes were filled with love.
You shook your head, “you’re literally perfect.” You mumbled feeling shy suddenly. You dropped your gaze back to your page.
Beau shook his head, “I’m not perfect.” He promised. “I’m far from it, honestly, but you on the other hand? Definitely perfect.” He replied with a cheeky grin on his face.
“I’m serious.” You defended your compliment. “I’d marry you right now if you’d ask because you’re so…” you trailed trying to find the right word to describe him.
Beau looked away for a moment before moving his eyes back over to you. You finally raised your gaze back up to meet his, “you’d marry me?”
Your brows furrowed, “Yes! Is that shocking or something?”
Beau bit his own lip for a moment to stop a grin from forming, “I’m holding you to that.”
You grinned, “is that your way of saying we’re going to get married?” You asked playfully.
Beau nodded, “oh, totally.” He promised and his voice held seriousness. “We’ll get married and have at least two babies… I mean, only if you want children.” He assured
“You sound so sure of yourself.”
“Baby, I’ve had my life planned out with you since I saw you crying in the library freshmen year.” Beau mumbled as he went back to coloring his page. You knew he was using it as a distraction for dropping his truth-bomb on you.
Your eyebrows creased again, “freshman year? But that’s….” You trailed.
“The first time we met and you told me that your first college crush broke your heart.” Beau whispered letting you know that he remembered.
You looked at your boyfriend shocked, “Beau Maxwell, are you telling me that you were pining after me all of freshmen year?”
“Why are you so shocked?” His voice raised slightly but not in anger. It sounded like disbelief.
“Maybe because that’s a truth bomb I wasn’t expecting?” You explained with your hands waving around frantically seeing as you were shocked. “You’re Beau Maxwell.” You elaborated.
“So?”
“So—how can you say so? You’re the quarterback of the football team.” You explained more in depth. “You have had girls falling at your feet since high school and you just tell me that you were harboring a crush for almost a year prior to us sleeping together.”
Beau pursed his lips while nodding, “We’re together now… so why does it matter?”
You huffed, “what would you have done if us having sex didn’t turn into anything?”
His eyebrows furrowed at that because he honestly didn’t know. He had just been lucky and the plan him and Dean had come up with worked. Which now that he thought back may not have been the best idea.
“I don’t know but it did work so I’m not thinking about it.” He shrugged and turned his full attention back to the picture in front of him.
🫧🫧🫧
It was now 9pm and Hannah was still tutoring Garrett and you hadn’t heard from Allie in a moment. You and Beau had finished coloring and you had picked up the pages and markers while Beau helped clean up the snacks and drinks.
You two had moved to the couch as a movie played on your laptop that sat on the coffee table. You weren’t really paying attention to what was happening on your laptop. Your mind kept going over the conversation you two had talked about earlier.
It was definitely more of a glimpse of the future than what either of you had previously admitted. It didn’t scare you or anything, but you just wondered if there was anything that could change his though process. You honestly didn’t think that there was, because like you had stated earlier, he was the perfect boyfriend.
“I’m so in love with you.” You spoke softly as you broke the silence that had settled over your cuddling figures as the movie played. You moved your head to where you could look up at him and see him.
He wore a soft smile on his face, “where’d that come from?”
You shrugged slightly, “I just—I’m lucky to have you.” You settled for that even though it wasn’t exactly what you wanted to say.
His hand softly came up and rested on your jaw and neck, “I’m in love with you too.” He replied softly and leaned his head down just a bit to capture your lips with his.
The kiss had been soft and full of love, something that you were use to Beau doing. It didn’t take long for things to heat up, especially not with how the two of you were talking and feeling.
You blamed your hormones for not being able to hear your phone buzz on the kitchen table. And twenty minutes after your phone went off, You blamed yourself for not hearing the door unlock or open at first either.
“So I know we bailed on girls night, but I was thinking—OH MY GOD!” Hannah screamed before quickly turning around.
You shoved Beau away with more force than you meant too and quickly stood up to find your shirt that said man how thrown across the room. You huffed and rolled your eyes knowing that Hannah was a bit dramatic because neither of you were naked. You both were just shirtless and making out, so it wasn’t like she had walked in on anything.
“You can turn around now.” You sighed as you handed Beau his shirt.
Hannah slowly turned around and faced the two of you before giving an awkward smile, “so you took Allie’s advice on…” she trailed as her eyes flickered to Beau and then back to you.
You gave her a small smile, “not exactly.” You replied before Beau pulled you into him. Hannah’s eyes kept flickering back and forth between the two of you. “We’ve been dating for over a year…”
A flicker of hurt passed through Hannah’s eyes, “and you didn’t trust me enough to tell me?”
You shook your head quickly, “no. It’s not like that. I trust you and Allie completely.” You assured as you finally relaxed against your boyfriend.
“Then why not tell us?”
You shrugged, “it never felt like a good time.” You mumbled knowing that wasn’t an excuse. “Allie and Sean kept breaking up and I didn’t want to flaunt my relationship in front of her, and then you were worried and busy with the showcase and your scholarship list that I didn’t want to seem like I only cared about my relationship.” You explained hoping that she understood where you were coming from.
Hannah was silent for a moment before she finally nodded. “Okay, I understand why you hid it.” She accepted. “But don’t put your happiness in the closet all because you’re worried about us.”
You gave her a smile and nodded, “okay. No more secrets.” You promised and grinned when you felt Beau kiss the top of your head.
Hannah smiled back, “now I’m going to my room and I’ll put my headphones on as loud as the go and close the door.” She assured and shot you a wink as she walked off to her room.
You smiled turning back towards Beau and pulled him towards your room.
“That went better than you thought?” He asked causing you to nod in response. “Way better.” 🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧
You hated the idea of getting out of bed. Beau had finally spent the night without worrying about sneaking out the next morning. Which means you woke up in his embrace for the first time in weeks. It was something that always made your mornings feel complete and it made your heart swell with love.
You could’ve stayed in bed for hours, but you were hungry from not having a full dinner last night. So, reluctantly you got out of Beau’s embrace and found some clothes to slip on before making your way to the small kitchen. You started the coffee maker before pulling out some (protein) pancake mix and getting the add-ins.
“Are those pancakes?” Allie’s voice interrupted your thoughts. You turned and watched her walk out of her room and towards you before hopping up on the counter.
“It is.” You nodded and turned back to the pan on the stove. “I thought you were at Sean’s?”
Allie sighed, “we got into a fight late last night—or early this morning—it doesn’t matter. I just came straight home.” She muttered placing her head in her hands. “I didn’t want to wake anyone up.”
You turned and gave her an apologetic smile, “we’re always available for you.” You promised causing her to send you a small smile.
The kitchen settled into a comfortable quietness for a bit before Hannah came out of her room. She joined you two with a smile on her face which dropped as soon as she noticed Allie’s face. You listened to the two girls quietly as you finished making breakfast. You had listened to Allie’s story about Sean, which always was the same, but you couldn’t convince her she deserved better. She had to figure that out for herself.
You had cooked a few sides to go with the pancakes while Allie had went on-and-on about Sean and Hannah had put her input in every once in a while. You didn’t know what to say, mainly because you had a great boyfriend. Someone who truly loved you and you never had to guess or wonder if he did.
Once breakfast was done you told the girls and the three of you made plates and sat at the kitchen table together.
“We seriously need a girls trip away from this place.” Allie groaned taking a sip of her drink.
You nodded, “I’m down.” To which Hannah agreed too.
You three were talking and making plans to take a trip together eventually, until Allie went quiet mid sentence causing you to look her way. Her fork was frozen mid-way to her mouth and her eyes wide. You followed her line of sight to see her staring at Beau casually padding out of your room and into the small kitchen and living area.
“Morning baby,” he greeted softly as he walked over and gave you a kiss on the head. “Ladies.” He nodded in recognition.
You smiled, “morning. There’s breakfast I fixed a few minutes ago.” You offered
He sent you a thankful smile and gave you a soft “thank you, babe.” before going to fix himself some food as well. You turned your attention back towards Allie who had closed her mouth now but was still looking at you.
“What the hell is Beau Maxwell doing in our dorm and why the hell did he call you baby?”
I’m literally writing like five different fics and when I say that I am trying so hard to use “Y/N” as little as possible but still make it reader friendly. 😖 Does anyone else struggle with this or is it just me?
Like I don’t want to use “Y/N” like we’re straying away from (which is fine) but for some reason I find it so hard. If anyone has any tips or advice I’ll gladly hear it. 🫶🫶
(& yes, I am aware that it means “Your Name” so it’s an insert but I hate using it.)
Cruel Summer | Slytherin Boys *Mini Series*
After finishing their sixth year at Hogwarts, the Slytherin friend group wants nothing more than to enjoy their last summer together before having to focus on their future. Instead of hopping around at their family estates they all decide to spend -almost- all summer at Pansy’s family’s Villa. With that being said… what could go wrong with the Slytherin group? Or (maybe) what could go right?
Pairing(s): Lorenzo Berkshire x Fem! Reader (eventual), best Friend! Mattheo x best friend! Reader, Blaise Zabini x Pansy Parkinson, Draco Malfoy x Astoria, Theodore Nott x Daphne Greengrass.
Warning(s): out of character Enzo & Mattheo, few cuss words in each chapter, mentions of violence, abuse, alcohol, drugs (weed), mutual oblivious pining, Mattheo torturing Enzo, mentions of sexual themes and scenes.
*I know some people don’t like when others change the characters attitudes. So I wanted to state (again) that Lorenzo Berkshire (& Mattheo Riddle) are 100% out of character. This is not how I picture them and it’s just a fun little series I thought up. I have another idea in mind for other stories coming soon that has them the way I believe they would be but this is what I’m currently writing.*
i. It’s nice to have a friend
ii. Is it too soon to do this yet?
Cruel Summer | Slytherin Boys
i. It’s nice to have a friend
The one where the Slytherin crew goes on a beach vacation instead of staying at one of their families estates during their break from Hogwarts.
Pairing(s): Lorenzo Berkshire x Fem! Reader (eventual), best Friend! Mattheo x best friend! Reader, Blaise Zabini x Pansy Parkinson, Draco Malfoy x Astoria.
Warning(s): mentions of sexual themes, a few cuss words, mutual oblivious pining, Mattheo practically torturing Enzo. Out of character Mattheo & Enzo. I think that’s all lmk if I missed anything!
Word Count: 2.2k
Note: it’s short and I’m sorry. I’m trying to find my groove in writing again since it’s been so long. 🥲 Also I 100% see Lorenzo as someone who manipulative & overall just someone who does whatever it takes to get what he wants. so he’s 100% out of character in this!! (I blame my tween niece for making me watch Enola Holmes) *NOT EDITED*
There was something about the smell of saltwater and the breeze in the air that just took every problem away. Something about the sun setting and looking like the ocean was swallowing it whole as colors of orange, pink, and purple filled the sky. It was probably the most magical muggle thing in the world, How beautiful the sky was.
“Why did we wait so late?” Daphne Greengrass groaned as all nine of you trudged into the villa that Pansy’s parents owned. “We should’ve left early and had time to tan.”
“You’re the one who took all bloody day.” You muttered somewhat to yourself. You thought you had went unnoticed until your best friend, Mattheo, snickered.
Mattheo’s noise didn’t go unnoticed making your friend group turn around towards the two of you. A blush fanned over your face and Mattheo just simply cleared his throat and shot you a wink causing you to roll your eyes.
Pansy grabbed everyone’s attention by clapping her hands together almost nervously, “there’s just one thing I didn’t mention.” She squeaked out nervously. “There’s only five bedrooms and nine of us.”
Astoria was the first to speak up, “couples can room together…” she trailed off hopeful.
You understood her, it was hard for her to get any alone time with Draco seeing as she was a year younger than the rest. She was originally part of the group because she follows her sister around and then you girls actually started liking her being around. Soon after she matured Draco started trying to get with her and that led to them being together.
Pansy nodded accepting that, “okay. Draco & Astoria, me and Blaise, Theo and Daphne.”
“Two rooms left…” Astoria trailed off looking between you, Mattheo, and Lorenzo.
Before either of the boys could speak up you did. “I should get a room. I am literally the only one of you who doesn’t have bed buddies!” You argued your case. “Matt and Enzo can share a room.”
Lorenzo opened his mouth to speak but quickly shut it. Of course he would, because he’s the only one who keeps his composure and is very calculated in what his reactions and emotions do. But Lorenzo’s silence led to Matteo’s objection.
“No.” Mattheo simply said. No argument and no comment just a simple statement.
You opened your mouth to argue with him but was cut off by Theodore clapping his hands together, “that’s settled. Mattheo can share with Y/N.”
Your eyebrows creased in slight announced, “wait a damn minute.” You objected even though the couples were already retreating. “I didn’t agree to that.” You huffed and crossed your arms.
You were looking after the couples that you didn’t catch Enzo’s eyes staying focused on you. “You’ll be fine, princess.” Mattheo teased as he slung an arm over your shoulder. “Won’t be anything that hasn’t happened before.”
You scoffed shoving his arm off of you and rolling your trunk behind you to go find a room that hadn’t been taken yet. Once you left the room, Mattheo and Enzo were left alone in the main entrance.
Lorenzo’s jaw was clenched and there was a certain look in his eye. A look that Mattheo knew too well from the boy. Instead of saying anything to rile the pureblood up any further he simply sent him a smirk and a pesky wink before following after your footsteps. Leaving an angry Enzo gripping his trunk until his knuckles were pale in color.
🏝️
You had showered after you got to your room and slipped into something comfy. A pair of pajama shorts, a t-shirt, and one of Mattheo’s hoodies. You had stolen it before one of the quidditch matches and never given it back to him.
Your friends had ordered takeout even though you weren’t very hungry. You were curled up on the back deck with one of your muggle books that some other people from Hogwarts had introduced you to. You could hear the waves crash softly from the back deck which seemed to ease your mind.
You had been reading for around an hour and were just getting to the good part when the door opened carefully. You looked up from your page to see Lorenzo slipping outside carefully making you send him a small smile. He closed the door behind him before taking a seat next to you and causing you to move your feet.
You had made yourself comfortable while you were reading. You didn’t figure anyone else would join you tonight. Being tired and with others for one. “The food’s here.” He was the first to speak up.
You closed your book and readjusted yourself, “I’m not hungry, thank you though.” You replied softly sending him a thankful smile.
Enzo nodded with a small smile of his own on his face. “If you want my room you can have it.” He offered carefully trying to make sure he said the right thing. “I can sleep on the sofa.”
You shook your head, refusing to let him do that for you. “It’s fine. Matt won’t do anything… he’s practically harmless.” You assured. You didn’t miss the look that flashed across his face before he quickly covered it. You didn’t say anything but you did grab his hand, “thank you, Enz.”
Enzo looked at your hand on his and nodded. He was trying really hard not to read too much into what you were doing. He knew you were friendly and he knew that you were very friendly with Mattheo but everyone seemed to think you two were only friends. He didn’t want to be selfish but he really hoped you two were just friends. He couldn’t imagine being so infatuated with his friends woman.
“I’ll see you in morning, yeah?” You asked softly as you got up with your book in hand.
“See you in the morning, love.” He replied quietly but made sure you could hear it.
You stopped one more time and turned to face him before going in, “don’t worry about me, Enz.” You told him softly. “I’ll be okay. I promise Mattheo’s not going to try anything.” You told him carefully before walking inside the house and heading towards the room you were sharing with Riddle.
You carefully pulled the door open and walked in shutting it behind you. You sighed closing your eyes for a moment hoping the fluttering in your stomach would quit. You mentally scolded yourself for feeling like something out of your muggle romance novels.
When you opened your eyes, you jumped not expecting a smirking Mattheo to be staring back at you. A shirtless one at that. “Don’t start.” You demanded with a sharp look.
Mattheo shook his head the same smirk still on his face; “are you ever going to admit it?”
You threw your book down and crossed your arms, “admit what exactly?”
Mattheo rolled his eyes giving you a look. “your feelings for dear ole Berkshire.”
Your eyes narrowed before you lunged at your best friend. You picked up a pillow before beating him with it as hard as you could. You knew a pillow wouldn’t hurt him but you wanted to beat him with something.
“If you mention that again I will kill you, Mattheo Riddle.” You spoke each word after hitting him with the pillow once.
“Merlin, get off me woman!” Mattheo replied back but you kept fighting him while he was trying to push you away.
Mattheo finally got the leverage to push you away gently when you stopped hitting him due to someone clearing their throat at the door. You tensed and stood up straighter seeing a slightly annoyed Lorenzo waiting by the door.
You had closed the door, but you assumed he had knocked and since you didn’t answer he opened it. Dangerous thing to do if you and Mattheo were together but luckily you weren’t.
Enzo glared straight at Mattheo making the Riddle boy smirk with a certain smugness about him. Then his gaze turned to you, the glare leaving his eyes and a certain softness appearing, “I was just checking to make sure you still didn’t want your own room.” He spoke softly. “You also left this outside.” Your eyes moved to his hand as he held out your book charms that Pansy had gifted you for your birthday.
You cleared your throat and felt a blush creep on your face, “thank you again.” You mumbled grabbing the charm carefully from his hand. “I’m okay for tonight on the room situation.”
Lorenzo nodded, his gaze flickered between you and Matteo before dropping on you. “If you change your mind… it’s always an option.” You nodded carefully sending him a genuine small smile that held gratitude. “Sleep well, love.”
“You too, Enz.” You whispered back now that you had moved closer to him.
With one last glare towards Mattheo he turned around and headed towards his room. You huffed as you closed the door and turned to face a smug riddle.
“Oh, Enz I wanna tear your clothes off and-“ Mattheo started teasing; pretending to do a girly voice.
“Shut up!”
🏝️
“Y/N, wake up!” Mattheo’s hard to miss voice yelled as he ripped the blanket off of you making your body cold. You shivered but refused to open your eyes trying to find the blanket with your hand. “Get up sleepy head!”
You groaned as you curled up into a ball and hid your face in your pillow. “Leave me alone, Riddle!” You groaned. “I slept awful.”
Mattheo snorted, “it’s not my fault you had a sex dream, now get up!”
“It wasn’t a sex dream. You hog the bed and the blankets.” You argued back before reluctantly sitting up and rubbing your eyes.
You stretched before slinging yourself off the bed to stand up. Before Mattheo had strolled out you had noticed him in his beach attire which was an indication that you would spend most of the day there.
You slipped into the bathroom and got ready. A pair of jean shorts over your bikini bottoms, your bikini top, and flip flops.
The smell of breakfast invaded your nostrils and the sound of everyone in the kitchen made you smile. This was exactly what you guys have needed; time away from Hogwarts and your families.
“I couldn’t sleep due to Pansy and Blaise.” Daphne complained sitting down with her plate of food.
Lorenzo shot her a look, “must’ve inspired you and Theo.” He mumbled causing the oldest Greengrass to blush.
Theo chuckled, “hey. Might as well if we were kept up.” He shrugged.
You shook your head in disbelief at the couples before plopping down next to Enzo, “I didn’t sleep well either.” You admitted. “Mattheo takes up the whole bed and hogs the blankets.” You explained shooting him a glare.
“I could’ve warmed you up in other ways,” he teased with a smirk. Lorenzo tensed beside you and you weren’t quite sure Mattheo liked to make Enzo uncomfortable. You knew that he was worried about you (even if you didn’t know the extent of it).
When everyone got involved in their own conversations… you casually slipped your hand under the table and rested it on Enzo’s leg to calm him down. You shot him a reassuring smile when he looked over at you before turning back to your friends at the table.
“Oh, shut up Malfoy!” Pansy snapped before slamming her cutlery down and trying to lunge across the table only for Blaise to stop her and Astoria to laugh. You didn’t know what you had missed but it was seemingly interesting.
Once breakfast was over and everyone helped clean up (used their wands) the plan was created. Spend the day at the beach and come back to break into Pansy’s parents liquor cabinets. It was the first full day here and you guys were going to make the most of the time you had. Even if you had a month or two.
You and the girls had parted from the boys to go ahead and head towards the beach. Wasting none of the time you could be tanning and cooling off in the clear water.
“You making a move this trip?” Draco spoke up making the boys stop what they were doing. His question was directed straight to Riddle. Draco’s eyes carefully glanced over at Enzo hoping he wouldn’t get too mad.
Mattheo let out a laugh with a shake of his head, “no. I’ve told you that we’re just friends.” He assured.
Theo snorted, “sure.”
“I’m serious.” Mattheo sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “We’re friends and that’s it. Nothing scandalous going on.” He promised.
Lorenzo looked between the guys and not missing the way Blaise sent him an apologetic look. Of course the boys knew how he felt about you and it’s all because he had gotten drunk and accidentally told them. He tried to play it off like it was nothing but they didn’t buy it.
“We’ll find out tonight if there’s anything going on.” Draco and Theo laughed together as they plotted making the Berkshire boy uncomfortable.
He didn’t waste no time storming out of the house and down towards the beach where you girls were at.
This was going to be a long trip for him; especially if you and Mattheo were together.

I have a few ideas for some Off campus ones too but I’m still on the fence about posting 🫢
I’m seriously debating on writing for “Off Campus” … so would that be an interest for anyone? 🤔
even though it’s been a minute since I’ve read the books. I finished the tv show right when it came out and I’ve already watched it for a second time with my roommate (that was the only way I could convince her to watch it) 😆😂
I know that I’ve been only writing for HP and Top Gun but I might be inspired? 🫢

Strictly Casual {L.B}
It was common knowledge to everyone that Lorenzo Berkshire, or any of the Slytherin boys really, didn’t commit to one girl for long. They were womanizers and refused to try to commit to an actual relationship. You two didn’t get along at all; yet you still ended up in his bed. Only one condition, no feelings, no-strings-attached, and never call it a relationship. Everything was going smoothly… until it wasn’t.
Pairing(s): Lorenzo Berkshire x Fem! Hufflepuff! Reader
Warning(s): mentions of sexual material (no smut), enemies w benefits, a few cuss words, brief mentions of cheating, brief mentions of pregnancy (close to end/time skip), brief mentions of parental abuse, alcohol and drugs (weed), suggestive themes. (Let me know if I missed any) maybe a slight AU since there was no war or voldy talk.
Word count: 11.4k
Note: this is my first time writing for Lorenzo and I don’t know how I really see him yet so I was playing around with it. I know he’s a fan character but I got to say that I love the idea of him and it’s just… fun. But I hope you enjoy even though it’s longer than normal.
*Not edited! So read at your own risk*
You weren’t really sure how you got yourself in this position, but surprisingly you weren’t complaining. Because the way his hands roamed your body; touching, rubbing, and squeezing in every right place made your head spin. You didn’t hesitate to bring your hands to his hair, pulling and tugging as his lips moved back up your neck to meet yours again.
Lorenzo pulled away slightly a smug smirk playing on his face. Your lust-filled eyes narrowed at his expression causing him to let out a teasing laugh. “maybe we should stop,” he let out a sigh like he was thinking. “I wouldn’t want you to fall for me, little puff.”
You scoffed, hating the nickname and the words he said. “Never going to happen, Berkshire.” You assured as you felt the familiar anger slowly try to creep in to ruin your high.
Lorenzo quirked an eyebrow running his hand down your body but stopping at your thigh. “You know…” he whispered; his voice low and steady as his hand slipped under your dress. “Once you have a taste it’ll be hard to stop.”
Your breath hitched as his fingers slipped beneath your underwear, “for me or you?” You shot back before grabbing the back of his neck and pressing his lips to yours.
Okay, maybe that was a lie. You knew very well how all of this started. It had started when you were invited to Slytherin’s common room party. You had been invited by Daphne Greengrass who was the only Slytherin who hadn’t turned on you after you were sorted into Hufflepuff.
You had come from a long line of Slytherin’s and that was whole heartily where you expected to be sorted, except when the hat was placed on your head it placed you in Hufflepuff. You were shocked, as well as some students and the staff.
You didn’t hate your house though. If anything you loved all your friends and the ones who you got to meet, but you had grown up with many Slytherin’s whom had treated you like shit once you were sorted into Hufflepuff.
But that was over now. What’s done is done and what had led to your exact moment was being asked by the Ravenclaw prefect, Anthony Goldstein, to attend the party with him. You two had your fair share of conversations as well as stolen moments. You weren’t officially dating but you were seeing each other, exclusively. Or so you thought.
About two hours into the party you had been left alone while your unofficial boyfriend danced with some Gryffindor. You nursed your drink, keeping your eyes on him thinking he might come back if he noticed you looking. That wasn’t the case… you were honestly feeling like he was avoiding looking your way on purpose.
“Little puff,” you rolled your eyes the minute his voice entered your ears. “you look like you’re about to hex your boyfriend.” Lorenzo Berkshire teased with a smirk on his face.
Your attention shifted for a moment between the Slytherin and Ravenclaw, “not my boyfriend.” You denied.
“Oh?” You nodded to his remark before you lifted your cup and chugging the rest of it and going to fill it up. Lorenzo followed you, his smirk never faltering. “that’s not what I’ve heard.”
You rolled your eyes after chugging a bit more and turn around to face him, “he’s just a way for me to blow off steam.” You felt your stomach sour at that statement because you knew that you wanted to be official with Goldstein.
Lorenzo’s eyebrows shot up, “looks like your not as innocent as people think.” His smirked widened as you caught his eyes raking up and down your body.
“We were raised around each other, Lorenzo.” You muttered with a certain tone in your voice. A tone that felt like a challenge to the Slytherin boy. “You don’t know me anymore, but not much has changed.” You spat angry at everyone in this moment.
His eyes raked over you before he took a gentle step closer, “if you decide to upgrade… let me show you how it’s actually meant to feel.” Enzo stepped back his smirk still on his face before shooting you a wink and turning.
You assumed he had been going back to his groupies or maybe someone he had been with.
That was exactly how you were in that position. Because you had caught Goldstein leave with the Gryffindor girl at some point, which made you set your sights on Lorenzo Berkshire. Not that you would willingly sight him out if it wasn’t for trying to get back at Anthony.
The way you saw it, Lorenzo had offered and you definitely weren’t going to be getting laid by the Ravenclaw.
Later that night, you stood up from Enzo’s bed. Your legs/body aching and lips swollen. He hadn’t been wrong; he was by far the best you had ever had. You wouldn’t admit that to him though.
“This is never going to happen again.” You spoke out loud mainly talking to yourself as you slipped your bra and underwear back on.
Enzo scoffed, “don’t act like you didn’t enjoy.”
You didn’t respond because you knew that he was right. It was the best you had ever had and it was one of the few times you hadn’t had to fake anything. “This is just another notch in your belt.” You finally retaliated spinning around as you zipped your dress back up.
Enzo’s smugness sat on his face as he threw himself back down on his bed. His slender, yet muscular, frame flexing a bit since his hands were behind his head. “You’re just afraid you’ll fall in love with me.” He states again.
Your eyebrows shot up, “oh please.” You snorted out a laugh before you covered your mouth. “That’s never gonna happen, Berkshire.” You assured for the second time. “You don’t have to worry about me. I’ll never be in your bed again.”
Oh, how wrong you were.
❤️🩹
The second time it happened was after an argument you had with Goldstein. Lorenzo just so happened to catch the end of the argument.
You had huffed with your arms crossed, “I’m not someone you can use while you’re screwing everyone else.” You had snapped before turning around and running straight into Lorenzo.
His irritating (but handsome) face held his same look he always had. You rolled your eyes before trying to go around him, “get the hell out of my way.”
His raised his hands in faux surrender. You glared at him before turning around to see Anthony still watching you from the empty hallway. Enzo’s eyes followed where you were looking and his smirk reappeared and grew as he ‘sized’ the Ravenclaw Prefect.
You huffed before facing Lorenzo and mentally preparing yourself before pulling his head down towards you. Your lips met his half way. It took Enzo two seconds before he began trying to feel you up in the middle of the quiet hall.
Once you were sure Anthony was gone; you shoved him away. His eyebrows rose in surprise before he started going back to his usual self. “Using me for revenge, little puff.” Enzo shook his head behind the teasing tone. “Not acting like a badger.”
You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms, “why are you always around me lately?” You hissed out.
Lorenzo tilted his head an innocent look on his face, “I don’t know what you mean. I was simply going to class.”
“More like eavesdropping.” You huffed.
Lorenzo’s facial expression changed for a moment before going back to his cocky attitude. “I could always replace Goldstein.” He offered. You couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. Not like it mattered because you were not going to take him up on it. “When you want revenge or to blow off steam.” He spoke carefully, almost like he was trying not to freak you out. His hand began to lightly trace down your arms, which caused flashbacks from the party to come back.
Your eyes followed his hand as it made its way down your thigh before slowly coming back up, “what’s in it for you?” You whispered knowing he got something out of it.
He shrugged, “the girls here are getting boring.” His expression dropping to a faux frown trying to play the part.
You quirked an eyebrow as you ignored his hand snaking around your waist. “and I thought Lorenzo Berkshire doesn’t commit to one girl?”
He shrugged, “sexually… it can be exclusive. Other than that; free for all.”
You thought for a moment at his request. You knew that you two had disliked each other for a bit, which didn’t start until second year. “So what? You’re saying we can still flirt, go on dates, and everything else… with other people?”
Lorenzo nodded as he plastered his innocent puppy face on. His normal way of getting what he wants. “Just no shagging other people,” he finished, his grip on your waist tightened. He leaned in closer, “and no feelings involved.” He whispered.
Your eyes flickered up to his, you could see the mask he put on. There was no way he would ever let you in close enough to see the real Enzo, and before you could stop yourself you agreed. A slight nod of the head, “okay.”
Lorenzo’s smirk grew on his face, replacing the innocence on his face that you knew was fake. He was smug on the inside because he had gotten you right where he wanted you. He dipped his head; capturing her lips between his.
You didn’t really know what was happening until you felt your back hit the cold, hard stone of the hallway. You pulled away not wanting to do anything in public, especially with classes letting out in a moment.
Enzo huffed like he could sense what you were thinking before dragging you through the castle and to an empty room. He mumbled the spell to lock the door before hungrily attaching his lips back to yours. He wasted no time hoisting you up onto a desk before his hands started roaming your body.
You couldn’t believe you were giving into him.
❤️🩹
After your agreement, it had started. You found him when you needed him, and he found you when he wanted you. You hadn’t told anyone and you suspected he would keep it a secret too, until you noticed the smirks you’d receive from his groupies in the hall. It slightly annoyed you but it wasn’t worth fighting over. It’s not like you two were dating.
“What’s going on with Lorenzo?” Hannah Abbott, your best friend and roommate, asked as she turned her attention back to you and Susan Bones. You shrugged not daring to glance in his direction. “I’ve heard that he’s slowed down on screwing girls.” You choked on your pumpkin juice at what she said. You started coughing trying to clear your throat from it feeling like you were choked.
“Are you okay?” Susan asked carefully.
You nodded, “yeah just strangled.” You assured. Your eyes immediately looked up and locked with Lorenzo; whose eyes were already on you. He quirked his eyebrow causing you to roll your eyes and turn your attention back to Hannah. “Why do you think that?”
“He hasn’t been caught lately and I’ve heard girls complaining.” She shrugged like she could care less. Which you knew that the Slytherin boys weren’t her style. Someone like Neville Longbottom would be her type.
You huffed a tinge of pink on your cheeks, “maybe he’s focusing on his class work” you shrugged as nonchalant as possible.
The girls snorted and giggled shaking their heads disagreeing with you. You ignored them and finished your food before standing up and bidding goodbye.
“Oi, y/n.” The familiar voice of Fred Weasley stopped you as you started leaving the great hall. You gave him a small smile, “would you mind testing something for us?” He asked carefully.
You gave him a skeptical look, “it’s not going to harm me or make me ill?”
He shook his head, “no. Only safe products for our favorite tester.” He winked playfully.
You held out your hands as he placed some products in your hands. You noticed a few of them were first aid items. You thanked him before turning back, placing them in your pocket and heading towards the the hufflepuff common room.
You were hoping for a quiet walk back to the common room, until you were joined by someone. “What did weasel want?” Lorenzo huffed; catching up to you.
You glanced at him, noticing he wasn’t wearing his signature smugness or smirk. Before you could let yourself think too much into it; you shook your head.
“Nothing.” You dismissed brushing a pice of hair out of your face.
“Mhm,” he slightly grunted in an unconvinced expression.
You sighed turning to face him, “look… do you think we should tell each other if we’re going on dates?” You asked honestly wanting his opinion on it.
Lorenzo clenched his jaw and his eyes narrowed, “don’t tell me you’re going out with the blood traitors.” He scoffed. His eyes held a certain emotion that you couldn’t decipher.
Your eyes narrowed as you felt anger rise in your chest. “It’s not Fred.” You snapped crossing your arms. “I got asked to Hogsmeade this weekend… by Cedric.”
“Diggory?” His face showed a hint of anger but his voice showed disgust. “You’re stooping that low?” He grumbled.
You stopped walking and turned to the Slytherin with your arms crossed; “I know we’re filthy dung beetles to you Slytherin’s, but we’re not awful.” You defended with heat in your tone.
“I wasn’t saying that.” Lorenzo defended before his guard quickly came back up. You watched his jaw clench and his eyes rake over your face; “Whatever you do isn’t my business. Just don’t fuck him.” He sneered before turning around and walking away from you.
Your anger vanished and was replaced with confusion. What was that? You didn’t have time to think about it because you needed to get to the library to study for an upcoming exam. It had been to weird of a week for everything that was fixing to be due.
Lorenzo didn’t know what was coming over him. The idea of you going on any dates made him uncomfortable. He wouldn’t necessarily call it jealous, but he hates how it was starting to bother him. He brushed it off as it if were nothing. He convinced himself it was just because he was worried you’ll break the rules. After all, he didn’t like feeling weak or played.
He let out a huff before making his way into the Slytherin common room. The rest of the boys were already settled in their usual corner as he made his way over to them. He didn’t say anything when he plopped down on the couch beside Theo.
“Figured you’d be with your buddy.” Theo teased the boy. Enzo rolled his eyes not amused by his friend.
Lorenzo didn’t even mean to let his friends find out about you two. Apparently, they had watched you two leave the party and then you do the walk of shame out of the common room.
Mattheo rolled his eyes at Enzo’s demeanor, “what’s wrong with you? Is she starting to bore you now too?”
Enzo’s eyes narrowed at the Riddle boy’s assumption. It was quite the opposite really, but he just didn’t want to admit it. “Just making sure she doesn’t step out of line.” He grumbled.
Blaise’s eyebrows shot up at that. All the boys honestly figured that Lorenzo might’ve been getting bored. No offense to you… but they all felt Mattheo would settle down to commit before Enzo.
Lorenzo was different… the kind of different that no one really understood. He hated relationships and never wanted commitment, which was why he was a womanizer. He could easily get his way because of his manipulative tendencies and he was good at playing innocent. It wasn’t shocking that he was the way he was; since he was raised by his father and his mother was in Azkaban.
Draco eyed his cousin for a moment before recognition dawned on him, “this is about diggory.”
Lorenzo’s eyes shot to Draco’s, “please.” He huffed out.
“It is,” Draco pushed. “he asked her to Hogsmeade today with flowers.”
Enzo felt the anger bloom in his chest from what Draco had said. Of course, Diggory was the golden boy of the castle. He always seemed to charm his way through whatever girl he wanted.
Mattheo, Theodore, Draco, and Blaise shared a look knowing exactly what it was. “We know you’ve had a soft spot for her since we were kids,” Mattheo started not knowing how Lorenzo would take it.
Draco’s cool blue eyes looked over him, “you should’ve just asked her out, cous.”
Enzo felt uncomfortable, having this conversation with the guys. Instead of letting his walls down right at this moment, he rolled his eyes. “I’m not into her. She’s a good time and that’s all.” He stated letting his usual walls stay in place. “Now, I’ve got to go find the girl from charms class.” He playfully winked before getting up and walking away.
The boys sighed and shook their heads, “isn’t the whole point of no commitment; so you can shag other people?” Blaise asked knowing he understood what that meant.
“Usually.” Theo replied.
Lorenzo didn’t leave the common room for the girl who flirts with him in charms. He simply had something very important to do before Friday night, and he was beyond pleased to find Cedric in the library. Until he noticed you sitting down at his table; a warm smile on your face.
He clenched his jaw. He hated how angry he got because it made it really hard for him to keep in check.
He could’ve been subtle about it. He could’ve politely interrupted you two and asked for your attention, but he wasn’t in the right head space for that.
You were finishing up your project with Cedric when you were interrupted by Lorenzo leaning over your chair. Cedric’s attention moved to the Slytherin that stood, practically, on top of you.
“What do you want, Berkshire?” Cedric spoke up first.
You tensed knowing that Lorenzo was possibly mad over Saturday. “I need her… for a moment.” Lorenzo replied back; A cold look in his eyes.
“Maybe she doesn’t-“ Cedric started before you held up your hand to stop him.
“Ced, it’s fine.” You assured before giving him a small smile and gathering your things. “I’ll see you Saturday.”
Enzo grabbed your bag for you and slung it over his shoulder while you carried a couple books. Once you were out of the library you stopped, “what was that?” You grumbled.
Enzo’s eyebrow rose in question, “what was what? I thought our agreement was to come find you when needed.” He responded a quick shrug of the shoulders before he started walking again.
You were starting to hate this agreement. It had been happening way more than you thought it would. Which shouldn’t have surprised you.
You hated to admit it… but you were starting to feel something for the boy. You knew that you promised not too, but you couldn’t help it. You didn’t even really know why because it’s not like you two talk much.
“Are you coming?” Lorenzo’s voice broke you out of your thoughts. Your bag still over his shoulder and a subtle smirk on his face.
Against your better judgment; you nodded and caught up with him. What you were doing was becoming dangerous and you knew it.
❤️🩹
Five months, you had been doing your agreement for five whole months and the first date you had bailed. You weren’t quite sure what it was about; Cedric had come up to you stating that he couldn’t take you to Hogsmeade anymore. At least you told you though, which was better than standing you up.
After sulking most of the day, you had decided to go to the astronomy tower. Something about the fresh air and stars always seemed to calm you down. You had told Hannah and Susan not to wait up once that had gotten back from their dates.
You had a blanket under you and wrapped around you, a bottle of fire whiskey beside you. You weren’t getting drunk, because you knew better. You just wanted your feelings for Lorenzo to go away and you were hoping Cedric would do the trick.
You sighed, your gaze still up at the stars. “ what do I do?” You mumbled not exactly know who you’re asking.
You were lost in thought that you didn’t even hear the footsteps coming up the tower. “Care if I join, little puff?” The smugness was gone. He asked it like a simple question… almost like a friend would.
You wanted to object and say you wanted to be alone. Make up some excuse as to why you couldn’t be around him, but your body was against that idea. So you just nodded and wrapped your blanket tighter around you.
Lorenzo carefully took a seat beside you and leaned back slightly on the blanket on the ground. “How was your date?” He asked softly, a new version of him you hadn’t seen before.
You shrugged picking up the bottle and taking a drink, “wasn’t one.” You muttered. “He ended up taking Cho Chang.” You added as you remembered what Hannah had told you.
You didn’t see it, but Lorenzo’s jaw clenched in anger. “Maybe I’m more like you boys than I thought.” You sighed. “It’s inevitable isn’t it? Coming from a family like mine?”
Enzo’s eyes flickered over you; something softened as he just took you in. “Is that such a bad thing?” He asked quietly wanting to truly know what you thought of him.
You turned your attention towards him, “No, I honestly don’t think you boys are as bad as you act.But I’ve always wanted to fall in love with someone who will love me back. I know my father wants me married by 20.. that’s literally right after we leave this place.” You explained softly turning your gaze back to the sky.
“You don’t have to–“ he started only for you to start laughing.
“Oh, I do.” You mumbled. “I’m already treated like I’m awful due to being sorted in Hufflepuff. If I don’t do what he says then I’ll have to run away. Literally.”
Lorenzo opened his mouth to speak but simply shut it not knowing what to say. He figured you had it harder now, after the sorting ceremony. He just didn’t realize the extent of it. “What happens if you’re not with someone?”
You huffed, “he’s already sent me a list.” You muttered. “Riddle and Nott are the top two on his list. I guess it’s the main picks he prefers. Pureblood Slytherin’s and all.”
“Mattheo’s not even a pureblood.” Lorenzo grumbled in response to that.
“That doesn’t matter. It’s his name.” You shrugged knowing exactly how your father thinks.
Lorenzo let his anger subside for a moment before looking over at you, “am I on it?” He asked carefully.
You let out a breath, “top five.” You nodded. “You really had to ask seeing as you’re a pure blood and a Berkshire?” you teased for a moment letting the intensity set over you.
Enzo shrugged. He knew he wasn’t the favorite, usually, when it came to parents. Sure he was the Slytherin’s version of a golden boy but he was far from it. Everyone who knew him understood that.
For a moment, just a split second with you, Enzo let his walls down. He let you see the real Lorenzo under everything. The one he kept locked away and only Draco knew.
You two sat there talking a couple hours before doing what you did best. Only this time was different. It wasn’t a rush to get the clothes thrown off. It was careful, slow, and dare you say it; loving. In a way that you had never known Enzo to be.
That was the night that you knew. You loved him. You were more sure of that than anything, but you had to keep it to yourself.
❤️🩹
That night in the astronomy tower changed something. It wasn’t a big change and you were still keeping your feelings a secret, but Lorenzo seemed to be around you a bit more. Something that your friends had noticed. He wasn’t being overly obvious about it…just enough to where your friends noticed a difference.
Your sixth year at Hogwarts was almost over and you would have to go home and prepare for your final year. You didn’t want to have to prepare to get married, though. Not when you were in love with your friends-with-benefits.
“We’re going to get caught.” You whispered as Lorenzo’s hand guided you through the castle. You two were suppose to be in class, but he had the bright idea to sneak back to the dormitory instead.
Enzo rolled his eyes, “come on, little puff.” He teased a smirk playing on his handsome face. “Live a little.”
You sighed and bit back a smile as you followed him to the Slytherin common room and up to his dorm. The place where everything started. The other boys were either in class or skipping to smoke.
Lorenzo quickly pulled out his wand and casted a noise and locking charm on the room. He carefully captured your lips with his. Easy at first before growing hungrier.
“You have no idea what you do to me.” He mumbled as his lips made their way down your neck. You bit your lip to stop any noise from coming out as he nipped and sucked on your neck.
“Enz,” you moaned before trying to pull away from him. “I can’t do this.” You half-moaned before biting your lips. Tears came to your eyes at the realization of how fast and hard your feelings developed. Given, it had been seven months now.
Lorenzo pulled away, eyebrows furrowed and confusion written on his face. “what?”
You sighed trying to blink back the tears, something that Enzo didn’t miss. “I have to get married next year, Enzo.” You whispered quietly. “I can’t keep doing this with you. I have to… screw my head on straight.” You cringed repeating the words that your father had sent you.
He took in your appearance. How you were on the verge of tears and how you had stiffened when you mentioned getting married. He knew you didn’t want to end the arrangement (even if he didn’t know your feelings) because he knew you felt too good afterwards. You had even told him yourself.
“Hey,” he said softly his hands coming up to cup your face. “Don’t think about that right now.” He muttered as his thumb caressed your cheek softly. “Just be here with me.” He added.
‘One last time.’ You thought before slowly nodding and leaning back into him. He didn’t have to know that it was your last time. But you wanted to commit everything to memory. “Can we go slow? Like that night in the astronomy tower?” You whispered hoping he wouldn’t see the love you had for him.
Enzo nodded slowly but the confusion was clearly there in his eyes. He didn’t know what you were trying to say without words but he wasn’t going to pay attention to that right. He was going to focus on the task at hand.
You tried to commit everything to memory. Every kiss, every sound, every moment, every thrust, everything single feeling of him and this. You had fallen helplessly and hopelessly in love with him after you swore to yourself that would never happen.
Afterwards, you didn’t get up and run out. You stayed with him in his bed. Which had only happened a few times. It had often led to teasing by him to which you brushed off but neither of you said anything this time. Almost like you both knew what was coming.
You tried not to think about it and focus on his traces up and down your bare spine. Trying to calm your heart rate so it didn’t seem out of the ordinary. “Are you okay?” His voice came out softer than normal. Way softer than what you were used too.
You nodded not trusting your voice. You were either going to cry or blurt out how you felt and you couldn’t have either of those.
❤️🩹
Your life had completely flipped in two weeks. You had avoided Lorenzo with every fiber in your body. It hurt more than anything. You were trying to go back to normal, that was until you were sick. You woke up feeling like death one morning, very early. Trying to throw up everything you had eaten previously.
That’s what led to you now staring at the potion swirling a deep purple color. The potion started out as a completely different color and changed to blue if negative and purple if positive.
Tears fell freely down your face as your felt the whole world crumble. How? You had felt as if you were always careful. You had plenty of potions to keep this from happening and Lorenzo always made sure to wear protection.
You needed to write to home, tell them that you needed to come home. Part of you didn’t want too and the other part wanted to come clean to Enzo. You felt bad for keeping this to yourself because you honestly needed someone but you knew deep down how he would react.
Hannah had walked in while you were having a meltdown. Her first reaction was to run over and check on you. Before she could ask what was wrong, her eye caught the potion on the bathroom sink. “Oh, sweetie.” She sighed as she slid down in the floor beside you and hugged you. “Please tell me this isn’t Lorenzo’s.” She whispered to you.
You cried harder at that making her understand fully that it was in fact his. She held you while you cried and you were eventually joined by Susan who too came over and held you while her and Hannah talked.
“I’ll write my mother and you can stay with us.” Hannah told you before giving you a light squeeze and getting up to grab her quill and parchment.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo had been going crazy searching for you and wondering why you were avoiding him. You were a part of his everyday routine at this point and it felt bare without. It was driving him insane and every Slytherin knew.
So that was the plan. You were in your dorm for a few days before getting up and going to class until Hannah’s mother wrote her back. You hated missing the last few weeks of school and the next year but you were going to do what you had to do.
Within a week Mrs. Abbott had written back and said she had a place ready for you and that you were welcome anytime. So you spent the weekend packing your trunk and getting ready to go home for the rest of your life.
You had spent your last week in class and spent extra time with your friends, but you didn’t miss the looks from Lorenzo. You were hoping to avoid him until you left.
But luck wasn’t on your side.
*
You were spending your last hours at Hogwarts in the astronomy tower. So many memories here from over the years that it just made sense. That was until the night with Enzo replaced everything else.
“Why are you avoiding me?” He didn’t even try to make small talk or ease you into it. Straight to the point with a sharp tone.
You squeezed your eyes shut and released a breath, “I’m not.” You lied hoping it was convincing.
Lorenzo scoffed, “don’t lie to me.” His voice stern and full of… hurt? Anger? You weren’t sure.
You huffed turning to face him, “what do you want me to say, Enzo?” You asked as you crossed your arms and you felt the familiar pressure behind your eyes. “That I broke our agreement? Because I did.” You spit out with a certain rage in your heart, but it wasn’t towards him.
He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and shook his head, “that has nothing to do with avoiding me.”
“It has everything to do with avoiding you.” You snapped as tears came to the surface. “I did the one thing that I promised I wouldn’t do, Berkshire.”
“What are you talking about?” His head was spinning and he wasn’t understanding you. All he knew was that he missed you so much and he needed to feel you up against him in some way. Didn’t even have to be sexual. “Whatever it is… it doesn’t matter.”
“Yes, it does.” You said sharply.
“Why? Why would it matter?” His voice was louder than he’s even gotten with you.
“Because I can’t keep falling in love with someone I can never have!” You shouted feeling the pressure lift off your chest.
Lorenzo’s face dropped slightly at your confession. He wasn’t expecting you to straight out say that. If he hadn’t been thrown off guard he would have his smug demeanor and teasing thrown at you.
He wasn’t even upset at you falling for him, he was upset over the idea that he wasn’t someone you could have. He thought… after the last two months that he had made himself clear without words.
“I have to go.” You mumbled before pushing your way around him and leaving the astronomy tower. He yelled for you once but you didn’t turn around.
This was the last time you’d see him and that was breaking you in itself.
*3.5 years later*
“Mummy, mummy, look what uncle George gave me!” Your three-year-old daughter came running to you. (She had just turned three) In her hand was some trinket that George and Fred had made for their shop which you so happened to be in.
“Wow! That’s cool sissy.” You acted excited before glancing up at the red head, “it’s not going to harm anyone is it?”
George shook his head, “I wouldn’t give something dangerous to a toddler.” The Weasley boy assured.
You gave him a thankful smile before turning around and stocking a few things that were running low. You were helping out at Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes during your free time. Mainly because the Weasley had become a second family to you after Hannah’s mother, of course.
You had left Hogwarts early the next morning after you had made your confession to Lorenzo. You had spent your pregnancy staying with Mrs. Abbott and working during school times to be able to provide for your baby girl. Once she was born, you were able to get your own place and continue working. After running into Potter, Granger, and Weasley you three connected in a way you didn’t previously.
Now you and your daughter had many people in your lives. People who loved you and wanted what was best for you two. You loved your life, but there was still a part of you that loved Lorenzo and probably always would.
Later that night, you had fixed dinner and gave your daughter a bath before tucking her into bed. You read her a bedtime story before kissing her little head and quietly leaving her room so she could sleep.
You were beyond exhausted but instead of going to sleep; you settled with a glass of wine and a book you had been trying to read forever. You let out a sigh as you got comfy on the couch and threw a blanket over your lap.
The dishes were washing and drying themselves, and the kitchen was cleaning itself thanks to magic.
A knock on your door sounded after about thirty-minutes into your book. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion wondering who would show up this late but got up off the couch anyways.
Pulling the door open your eyes widen slightly seeing Theodore Nott standing there. You quickly collected yourself before sending him a small smile. “Can I help you?” You asked softly.
Theodore’s eyes widen seeing you before he let out a sigh, “oh, thank Merlin.” He muttered.
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “excuse me?” You asked confused by his reaction.
“I know this is strange but I was sent your address.” Theodore explained and held out a letter.
You reached out and grabbed it from his hand only to go pale once you noticed the official stationary. Your father had sent Theodore a letter about you and your address. Your breath caught at the last part of the message; ‘get to know her and the wedding will be Oct 21.’
“Wedding?” You asked unusually calm as as you folded the letter and handed back to him. “I’m not marrying you.”
Theodore nodded, “I’m aware.” He agreed. “I’m actually pleased it’s you because bro-code or whatever makes it easier for me to deny.” He explained. “No offense.”
“None taken.” You assured before a yawn overtook your features. “I’m sorry that my father wasted your time.”
Theodore shook his head, “don’t be. Because now I have an easy way out.” He paused for a moment before looking over you. “How have you been?”
It might have been a stupid question on his part because he’s never been close to you, but he didn’t seem to mind asking it.
You opened your mouth to speak before a the little voice spoke up behind you, “mummy.” A tired voice called out causing you to turn away from the door. “I had a bad dream.”
Theodore glanced behind you at the little girl standing in the hallway before his eyes widen slightly. You had a child and he had no idea, and he was suppose to marry you.
“Okay, mommy’s coming okay?” You spoke softly as the slightly teary eyed toddler giving her a small smile.
She nodded before turning around and walking towards your room instead of hers. You sighed, hoping Theodore didn’t get any idea. You slowly turned back towards the former Slytherin, “I hate to sound rude but—“ you started only for Theodore to cut you off.
“How old is she?” Theodore asked, but a part of him already knew. He saw it in her eyes and facial features. That toddler was a little girl version of one of his best friends.
“Theo–“
“How old is she, Y/N.”
You sighed knowing he wasn’t going to let it up or let you make him leave until you answered. “She just turned three two weeks ago.” You admitted.
Theo’s mouth opened and then closed trying to find words. “She’s why you didn’t finish school at Hogwarts…” he trailed off only for you to nod in response. “Is she–“
“Yes.” You whispered as you felt a familiar pressure behind your eyes. “He was the only guy I was with at that time.”
Theo couldn’t believe. He couldn’t believe that Lorenzo had a whole child walking around and no one knew but you and whoever you told.
“I need to settle her,” you sighed before stepping back from the door. “Come in.”
Theodore didn’t hesitate to step into your house and sit on your couch after you offered. You left him alone for a moment to get your daughter back to sleep and once she was back asleep; you made your way back to Theodore.
Theodore watched your every move as you sat on the opposite end of the couch, “why didn’t you tell him?”
You sighed, “because we agreed to not involve feelings. I might’ve fell for him but we all know that Enzo doesn’t commit.”
Theodore snorted, “he doesn’t commit but he stopped everything, not just sex, when you two go involved.”
You opened your mouth to argue but quickly closed it because you had nothing to argue back. You hadn’t kept a close eye on him, because for some reason you trusted him to keep his promise.
“I normally wouldn’t tell you this but you’ve got a child together….” Theo started before running a hand over his face. “He was a mess when you disappeared.” You gave him a look of disbelief. “I’m serious. We were all worried about him and he didn’t cope in a way we thought he would.”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “what do you mean?”
Theodore sighed, “we thought he would cope by going back to his old ways. Being with girl after girl. Instead… he turned to alcohol and weed.” Theodore shook his head remembering how he was. “He shook off any girl that tried to get with him. Said they were all ‘boring whores’ compared to you. We were worried about him. He’d talk about you every time he was out of his mind. If he was sober… he was just stoic.”
Your heart broke right there on the spot. Lorenzo always smoked cigarettes, but not very often. Mainly when he needed to calm his nerves and ease his mind. You had never heard of him touching any kind of drug because he wanted to keep up his “golden boy” image.
You ran a hand over your tired face, “how is he now?”
Theo gave you a small smile, “he’s better. He doesn’t get high anymore. He still mentions you sometimes when he’s drunk.” He admitted with a small chuckle behind it. “He works for the ministry now.”
You nodded a grateful smile on your face, “I’m glad he’s better.”
Theodore knew he probably shouldn’t suggest it, but you two had a kid together. “He’s single. Has been since you left and I know for a fact that he loves you.” He told you. Your breath caught in your throat.
You weren’t sure what to say because if everything he said is true then you broke him. You hurt him as much as it hurt you to leave. You knew Lorenzo… and he wouldn’t forgive you easily for that. If the roles were reversed then you wouldn’t forgive him easy either.
“I hurt him, Theodore.” You replied not exactly knowing what to say. “He won’t forgive me for that.”
Theo’s eyes softened, “he already has, Y/N.” Against his better judgment he placed his hand on her shoulder, “he understands why you left and he blames himself.” He told you. “well, he doesn’t understand the part where you were pregnant….” He trailed.
You sighed, leaning your head back on the couch; “please don’t tell him about, Olivia.”
Theo squeezed her shoulder, “he deserves to know. You can’t paint him as a deadbeat unless he chooses to be one.”
You swatted his hand off your shoulder, “I’ve never once said a bad word about Lorenzo.” You defended.
“I’m just saying.”
**
The next day, Theodore made his way to his weekly night out with the boys. It was after work for everyone and they always met up for drinks. Right now the boys were only waiting on Malfoy and Berkshire. Theo, Mattheo, and Blaise sat in their seats with their first drinks.
“Did you meet your future bride?” Blaise teased the Nott boy before taking a drink of his beer.
Theodore rolled his eyes, “she’s definitely not my future bride.” He replied simply.
Mattheo snorted, “why? Is she not good enough for our little brooding Theodore?”
Theodore sighed before leaning over closer to the boys, “it’s because it’s Y/N.” He admitted quietly and he was beyond thankful that Lorenzo and Draco weren’t here yet.
“Enzo’s Y/N?” Blaise asked with raised brows. Theodore nodded taking a chug of his alcoholic beverage. “What’d she look like.”
Theodore shrugged, “the same. A little more mature.”
“Was Enzo the main reason she didn’t finish school?” Mattheo asked wanting to know that gossip.
Theo opened his mouth to reply but quickly closed it when Draco and Enzo sat down at the table.
“Sorry we’re late, work ran late.” Draco huffed before waving the waiter over to place a drink order. “and little cous here got asked on a date.”
Theodore stiffened at that knowing he was trying to encourage you to tell him. Mattheo, Blaise, and Theo exchanged glances before looking back towards the other two.
Enzo rolled his eyes, “I denied… so stop bringing it up.” He grumbled.
Theodore relaxed at that before picking up his drink again. Draco’s eyes looked over at Theodore a mischief glint in his eye. “Did you meet your future wife yet? You’ve had that letter for weeks.”
Theodore’s gaze nervously looked towards the Berkshire boy before nodding his head, “yeah. We both agreed there isn’t going to be a wedding.” He replied back trying to be nonchalant.
“Was she at least hot?” Draco asked trying to tease him.
Theodore sighed before chugging his drink and ordering something stronger, “I don’t view her that way.” He simply said hoping they brought his drink soon.
“So who was it?” Lorenzo asked carefully not missing the way his friend was trying to avoid this conversation.
“That’s really not important.” Theodore shook his head.
“Let me guess, an old fling?” Draco asked wiggling his eyebrows.
Mattheo groaned before his hand smacked the table causing everyone to flinch, “it was Y/N!” He announced. “Now can you guys shut up.” The Riddle boy complained downing his Firewhiskey. The only one who didn’t get a weak beverage to begin with.
Lorenzo’s eyes moved to Theodore with a cold stare, “you met up with her?” he questioned but his voice was too calm for any of the boys to be normal.
Theodore sighed, “no. I didn’t know it was her until I went to her house.”
“You went to her house?!” Enzo sneered.
“Dude! I didn’t know who it was and she didn’t even know her father sent me that letter. She doesn’t want to get married and I told her that I couldn’t because of bro-code.” Theodore explained himself trying to get his angry friend off his back.
Lorenzo glared back at the Nott boy. He never forgot the conversation you two had in the Astronomy tower. “What’s her address?”
“Enzo–“
“Give me her address.” He demanded.
Theodore sighed before pulling the address out of his pocket and handing it to Lorenzo. The boy yanked it out of his hand and angrily left the table.
“Merlin, help me.” Theodore sighed knowing what was fixing to happen.
“It’s either going to be ugly or they’ll kiss and makeup.” Draco mumbled behind his glass of alcohol.
“Guys,” Theodore started gaining all their attention. “She has a child.” Draco spit out his drink, Mattheo dropped his glass and Blaise’s mouth hung out. “and it’s Enzo’s.”
“Well shit.” ❤️🩹
You sighed not knowing what to do with yourself. Mrs. Abbott came and got Olivia for the evening and was bringing her back before bedtime. You were beyond thankful for your best friends mom for being such an amazing grandparent-figure to your child. The woman had always insisted on you having a few hours to yourself at least once a week if not more.
You had just sat down when a knock on your door sounded. You groaned since you had just gotten comfortable. Sighing you got up and went and slung the door open.
You didn’t expect to see a disheveled Enzo at your door. His hair was messy as if he was running his hands through it. His clothes were messed up and you didn’t know if it was from work or him traveling to your house.
“Lorenzo.” You whispered not believing what you were seeing.
Lorenzo let out a breath as his eyes raked over you. “So it’s true. You were the one they picked for Theodore.”
You nodded not knowing what else to say. “I’m not marrying him.” You replied so he would know that you didn’t see his friend like that.
“I know… I remember that night in the astronomy tower four years ago.” He spoke softly almost like you’d disappear if he was too loud or wild.
You sent him a small smile, “do you want to come in?” You asked as you stepped aside to let him in. He nodded and walked inside carefully as you shut the door behind him. “Can I get you something to eat or drink? Coffee, hot cocoa, firewhiskey?”
Enzo shook his head, “I’m fine.”
You nodded before walking into the living room with him following. “Have a seat. I’m just going to run and change real quick.” You muttered before walking off towards your room. You changed and then took a few moments to yourself so you could collect your thoughts. “Is there anything you were needing while you were here?” You asked loud enough for him to hear you in the living area while you were walking closer to him. “I figured you got my address from Theodore–“ you stopped, your heart rate speeding up as you noticed the enchanted picture frame he was holding.
Lorenzo’s eyes were focused on the frame before glancing back up at you, “you had a baby?” He asked. Your heart jumped at the sound of his voice. Like he was hurt or something.
You felt tears well up in your eyes, “Lorenzo–“
He carefully sat the frame back down in place and you could tell his hands were shaking. “Is that what you meant when you told me you broke the agreement?” He asked like he was holding a certain emotion back. “Did someone else get you pregnant?”
You shook your head, “No. I wasn’t with anyone else.” You spoke like you were making a promise.
“There’s no way I–“ he started to say only to stop himself. Realization crossed his face as he thought about the last night you two had together. “I have a child?” He asked carefully.
You felt the tears well up in your eyes, “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.” You responded softly as you felt the pressure behind your eyes. “We agreed to no feelings and then I fell in love with you, and then I was pregnant… it was all too much.”
“Did you know that you were pregnant that last night in the astronomy tower?” He asked as his jaw clenched. You could see the anger in his eyes but it looked as if he was trying to understand you.
You nodded your head as the tears fell freely, “I was scared to tell you. I knew you wouldn’t want a baby and I didn’t want to ruin your life.” You explained as you broke down during. “I didn’t want you to hate me more than I thought you already did. It wasn’t fair to you, I know that. You had every right to know.”
Lorenzo stood there, his expression unreadable but his jaw was tight. That was enough to know that he was angry with you. You went to say something else, anything else but stopped when your door opened.
You quickly wiped your face as you noticed Hannah’s mom walk in with Olivia. “Mummy!” Olivia squealed when she saw you. She ran to you, luckily not noticing your emotions, and you picked her up when she got to you. “guess what? Nana Abbott bought me ice cream!”
You gave her a look, “oh my goodness, she did! Mommy’s jealous.” You teased causing her to laugh. “Are you ready to get ready for bed?”
Olivia nodded as she rubbed her little eyes as you gently sat her down and she began to walk towards her room. “Thank you.” You told Hannah’s mom.
She waved you off, “oh, it’s fine. You need some time to yourself and I’m happy to watch her for a few.” You gave her a thankful smile.
You talked with her for a few moments before walking her to the door and closing it once she left. You locked the door gently before making your way back towards Lorenzo.
His expression had softened some compared to what it was, “you’re a great mom.” He complimented easily and softly.
You felt your cheeks get hot, “thank you.” You whispered. “Do you want to join us for our bedtime routine?”
Enzo went to open his mouth but stopped before thinking for a moment, “she doesn’t know me…”
“Do you want her to?” You asked carefully wanting to know if he was willing go be a part of her life.
Lorenzo bit his lip, all anger and cockiness gone. A gentleness played on his face, something that wasn’t fake. “I wish she did.”
You carefully walked over to him and grabbed his hand. “Come meet your daughter.” You spoke softly causing a small smile to form on his face.
You two walked into Olivia’s room to see her looking in her closet with her little toddler attitude. “Mummy!” She whined with a small stomp of her little foot. “Where’s my silky pajamas.”
You let go of Enzo’s hand, holding back a laugh as you went to her closet and easily found them for her. You quickly took her to the bathroom to change her and help her use the bathroom before bed.
“You know how you asked if you had a daddy?” You asked her carefully as you helped her brush her teeth.
Her little head nodded, “yes, and you told me that daddy loves me but he’s working away.”
You gave her a small smile before wiping her mouth to get rid of the toothpaste. “He’s back.” You told her softly. You grabbed the hairbrush and started brushing through her hair so you could braid it before bed. “Do you want to meet him?” You asked carefully knowing that Enzo could hear everything you two were saying.
Her little eyes got wide and a grin overtook her small face, “yes!” She nodded enthusiastically. You laughed and finished her hair, and helped her off the sink.
You held her hand as you led her back to her bedroom. Lorenzo was leaned up against the wall until he noticed you two. He pushed himself off the wall, after you nodded your head over, and went to bend down in front of you two. “Enzo, this is Olivia… your daughter.” You introduced carefully not exactly knowing how he would react. “Olivia, this is your daddy.”
You could tell Enzo didn’t know what to do but he was really taken back when Olivia jumped and wrapped her arms around his neck. “Mommy told me that you’ve been working away, but your back now right?” She asked in her tired toddler voice. “forever?”
Enzo’s arms wrapped around the girl, “I’m not going anywhere.” Enzo responded to your daughter like it was an unbreakable vow.
Your heart clenched looking at them. You honestly had never pictured Lorenzo to be a father but seeing it was a different story than thinking it. “Liv, it’s time for bed baby. You can see him, tomorrow.” You promised.
Enzo carefully placed her down as she unwrapped herself from him. Your daughter listened to you by climbing in her bed and picking out a story on her nightstand. You sat down on her bed and offered Lorenzo to sit next to you, which he did, and you read to your daughter.
Once the story was over and her breathing became even; you two quietly made your way out of her room and shut the door. You didn’t hesitate to pour yourself a glass of wine hoping to ease your nerves but not get tipsy.
“She looks exactly like you,” you sighed sitting your wine glass down on the kitchen counter. “She is seriously a little girl version of you running around in every way.” Enzo didn’t say anything but he didn’t appear angry anymore. “She’s reminded me of you every second since I left… I felt like that was my karma.”
Enzo carefully made his way over to you to where there wasn’t much room between you two. “are you with anyone?” He asked softly but a hint of something wanting to be shown.
You shook your head, “no. I’m sure you’re not surprised that people leave when they find out I have a child.” You replied calmly trying not to act like it bothered you in some ways.
Lorenzo’s hand came up to your jawline. Your heart was pounding not exactly knowing what to do. It had been almost four years since you had touched the man in front of you. “so I was the last person you’ve been with?” He asked like he needed to know the answer.
“Is that surprising?” You teased slightly making a familiar glint return in his eye. You bit your lip as you debated on whether or not to tell him that you still cared. “I still love you, Enz.” You told him softly because even though he hated it, you could read him better than anyone and you knew he wanted to ask. “It didn’t go away and never got weaker.”
Enzo didn’t say anything, but simply leaned in closer to you. As if to see if you’ll stop him but you didn’t. You refused to stop him because you had missed him more than anything.
After what felt like ages, but was only a few seconds his lips landed on yours. A slow and careful kiss like he was testing the waters. You pressed yourself closer to him and gripped his jacket as his other arm snaked around your waist.
You pulled away for a moment to catch your breath, but his lips made their way down your neck. Teasing, biting, kissing, anything he could do he did. “I missed you.” You sighed in bliss as he nipped on your neck.
He pulled back, his dark eyes looking into yours. “You told me you loved me, ran away, had my baby, and now you’re saying you missed me.” You could tell in his voice that he was partly teasing and partially trying to comprehend everything that’s been going on.
You sighed; dropping your hands from his jacket. “I know, okay? I’m horrible. If I was more mature then I would’ve told you and-“ you stopped talking not knowing what else to say.
“and you wouldn’t have had to raise her alone.” He finished for you. His thumb running over your bottom lip.
You opened your mouth to say something, anything, but nothing came out. You didn’t know if Lorenzo was delusional or if he was serious. You didn’t believe he would’ve raised a baby during his last year at Hogwarts but you also didn’t think leaving would hurt him as bad as Theo said.
“You would’ve been mad.” You replied knowing he would’ve hated you for like two days minimum.
He made a face, “maybe. But it wouldn’t have been because of you. would’ve been because my dad was right all along.”
Your eyes softened at what he was talking about. You had remembered when he finally opened up to you and it made your heart break but made you fall for him even more. “You’re not a screw up, Enzo.”
His eyebrows shot up, “how am I not? I screwed us up and I wasn’t there for my own child.”
“I was the one that ruined us by freaking out over everything.” You mumbled, “I should’ve been honest with you. I should’ve told you how I felt and the test I had taken…”
Enzo gave you a careful smile, “I should’ve talked to you.” He admitted still not relaying how he truly felt. “I’ll be honest with you… when you left I don’t remember much about life after that. Until Draco talked some sense into me.”
You didn’t know what to say because Theo had, more than likely, told you the truth. Which broke your heart more than anything because you knew how Enzo was before you left.
You knew there was more that needed to be talked about. There was still hurt lingering between you two but at this moment you didn’t care. You slammed your lips onto his. Letting every emotion that you’ve felt come through it. All the hurt, anger, love, everything that was felt between you two was poured into the kiss.
He pulled you closer that way you were trapped between his body and the counter. Your hands linked together behind his neck as you pulled his as close as possible.
“Where’s your bedroom?” He asked as his lips brushed against yours waiting for an answer.
“Last door on the right down the hall.” You mumbled.
In one movement he picked you up and walked you down the hall, kicking the door open and closed with his foot after you two were in there. He gently laid you down on the bed, climbing over you as you got situated.
His eyes looked into yours deeply, so deep that you felt as though he knew every single thing about you. “I love you too.” He finally said before pushing his lips back to yours.
You sighed in contentment knowing that he had felt the same about you as you did him.
It was funny how a strictly casual agreement lead to where your life was now.

Bonus part (because I almost deleted it 🫢)
Loud knocking echoed through your house forcing you to peel your eyes open once again. You had finally settled back down after sending Olivia to her half-day of preschool (yes they go at 3) and now you were disturbed by whoever wanted to knock on your door at 8:30 in the morning.
You huffed, throwing Enzo’s arm off of you and standing up, and throwing on some shorts under Lorenzo’s t-shirt. You let a few cuss words slip out as you headed towards the door mentally preparing to yell at whoever was on the other side.
“What?!” You huffed as you slung the door open.
Theodore, who was standing in the front, flinched not expecting you to open the door angrily. “I didn’t mean to wake you,” he started which caused you to cross your arms. “We just–“ the words dropped as the group of former Slytherin’s eyes were trained on something behind you.
“Who ruined your morning, love?” Lorenzo asked carefully, shirtless and a pair of pajama pants on.
You huffed gesturing for the group of boys to pile in. “Your idiots.” You grumbled slamming the door behind you.
You made your way to your kitchen to put on some coffee before you passed out. You and Enzo had stayed up all night talking and catching up leading to you being extra tired. Once the coffee was done you poured yourself some and Enzo some before going back to the living area.
You placed Enzo’s mug on the side table before sitting down beside him and stretching out once he placed your legs in his lap. You didn’t miss the look that the boys were giving you but you simply didn’t care.
“You two are together… after two days?” Draco asked looking between the two of you in disbelief. It wasn’t shocking that you two were together but he was surprised it happened that fast.
“A few hours, actually.” You muttered taking a sip of your coffee before sitting it down beside Enzo’s. “If you count the night we had sex the first time after seeing each other.”
Lorenzo’s face held a smirk as you said that in a nonchalant manner. Everyone practically knew your business anyways, seeing as you had given birth to his child.
“The first time?” Blaise eyebrows shot up in disbelief. “So what… you waltz back in her life and it starts being like school again?” His question was aimed at Lorenzo.
Lorenzo shook his head, “not even close.” He simply stated a smug look on his face.
Mattheo sighed rubbing his hand over his face partially in disgust and the other part in disbelief. “So what about the kid?”
“Olivia’s at preschool. Only half-day since she’s so young but…” you trailed picking up your coffee again and taking a sip of the hot liquid.
Theodore hadn’t said much but he looked as if he had something he wanted to talk about. “I got another letter.” He finally spoke up causing everyone to go quiet.
You could feel Enzo stiffen and could tell he got annoyed by that. “From my father?”
Theo nodded, “about my refusal and how we both agreed to not marry.”
Theo carefully held out a folded piece of parchment to you and you carefully took it. You unfolded it and read the letter from your father, reading how it said you all had no choice and that it was a deal between Theo’s dad and yours. Then your father also stated that you had to be married by October 21.
You sighed handing the letter back to him and crossed your arms, but careful not to spill your coffee. “I’m sorry but I’m still not marrying you.” You assured placing your hand on top of Lorenzo’s so he wouldn’t get angrier than he already was.
“Trust me, I know. Enzo would kill me.” Theodore mumbled leaning back on your couch.
“My father doesn’t know about Olivia.” You admitted quietly making every eye look at you. “I don’t trust my family so I hid my pregnancy.”
Mattheo looked between you and Lorenzo, “have you thought of telling him? Just so he’ll lay off.”
You shook your head, “I want her safe. If anything he’ll use her against me.”
Enzo’s grip tightened on your knee where it had been sitting during this whole time. “I’m here now… he won’t be able to get to her or you.” Lorenzo assured quietly. “I’m sure they’ll help too.” He added which made you receive nods and agreements from your boyfriends friend group.
“I’ll think about it.” You murmured before standing up. “I’ll fix some breakfast.”
You just needed a minute to yourself. All the talk about your family finding out about your daughter made you sick. You wanted to keep her safe and away from how you had grown up. Break the cycles of everything your father had done.
You took a deep breath to steady yourself and then got the breakfast foods out to prepare. You needed something to busy your mind.
“You alright, love?” Lorenzo’s voice cut through your thoughts carefully and quietly. Almost like he knew where your mind would be at.
You nodded, “yeah.”
Enzo made his way over to you knowing that you weren’t okay. “I was talking with Theo…” he trailed even though he knew you’d rather ignore the problem with your family. “What if I married you?”
You sighed and turned to face your boyfriend, “Enzo.”
“You said yourself that my name was on the list, pureblood and all.” He explained trying to help you see where he was coming from. “We’ve already got Olivia.”
You shook your head, “I’m not letting you marry me to please my father, Enzo.” You denied and turned back towards the breakfast you were cooking.
“Why not? Let me help you.” He insisted as he watched you ignore him and keep cooking. “We’re practically together and we have a child.”
You huffed and muttered a charm to help you cook before turning around to face the Berkshire boy. “I don’t want you marrying me to please my father. If we ever get married I want it to be because you want to.” You snapped quietly so the boys in the other room didn’t hear. “You think I turned Theo down because he’s ugly and rude? No. It’s because I want to marry the one I love, which is you, but I want it to on our time not my families time.”
“Y/N,” He spoke seriously. “Marry me?”
“Lorenzo!” You scolded.
“I promise that I will ask in a more romantic way if you say yes. I just—you’re father might work with us if we get engaged.” You couldn’t argue with Lorenzo’s logic because your father might allowed you to postpone the date if he noticed an engagement.
“I hate that you’re right.” You mumbled which caused Lorenzo to send a signature smirk your way. You rolled your eyes at that before leaning against the counter. “So you’re actually going to settle down with me?”
Lorenzo gave you a look, “you’re joking.” You laughed at his reaction before shrugging. “I went mental without you. Yes, I’m willingly settling down with the woman I love.” He promised wrapping his arm around you and pulling you closer.
“You’re soft side is showing.” You teased placing your hand on his cheek.
He shrugged a genuine smile on his face, “Honey, I’ve lived without you and that’s something I never want to experience again.”
So I’m working on a few fics and I know we all have our own thoughts on the Slytherin boys. With that being said I am curious and I want to know your thoughts so I created a poll! Feel free to inbox me or comment explanations if you want. I love seeing everyone’s opinions on the boys. 🫶 Which Slytherin boy would never (or be extremely unlikely) commit? 🤨🧐

It wasn’t surprising. At least not to those who were around you. Alaric Wrenwood was the definition of heartbreaker, womanizer, and arsehole. Everyone knew it and everyone could see that he treated you like absolute shit. No one understood why you put up with his toxic behavior. Maybe it was because that was what you had witnessed growing up, so it seemed normal to you. Maybe it was simply because you believed that love should be like that. Everyone had flaws, but flaws weren’t an excuse for toxic behavior.
Theodore could tell every difference in you. It started simple. You were normal for the first four months of your relationship. Then came month five and your best friend noticed the little things. He first noticed when you were speaking with Pansy, Daphne, Astoria, and the rest of your friends. You bursted into a laugh at something before quickly lowering your voice and nervously glancing over at your boyfriend. That struck something in Theo that night but Mattheo had convinced him to let it go and that it was probably nothing.
By month nine, Theodore had noticed a big difference. You were quieter than normal, your laughs were fake, the way you smiled was fake and never reached your eyes. He noticed that you started wearing heavier makeup and making sure your hair was always neatly done. Not that you never cared about your appearance before but to Theodore it was almost like you were trying to change yourself completely. You weren’t using makeup to enhance your beauty anymore, you were trying to conceal your natural beauty and he knew it.
Theodore was ready to call you out on it and he had every intention too. That was until he turned the corner right into a fight between you and Alaric.
“I’m sorry, okay? I didn’t think it was wrong. I promise I’ll make it up to you.” Your sweet and soft voice promised trying to reach for his hand, only for him to push your arm away. That caused Theo to start fuming right then and there.
“Didn’t think it was wrong?” Alaric scoffed. “A girl like you shouldn’t be hanging out with a group of guys. It’s like you want people to know you’re a slut or something.” He snapped in a tone louder than you liked causing you to flinch back a bit.
“I’ve only been with you since we got together. You know that.” You crossed your arms now. “I’m usually always with Pansy or someone when I’m with the boys.”
Alaric rolled his eyes, the anger growing causing Theodore to take a step forward in the shadows. “What about Theodore? You’ve been alone with him plenty.”
“We’ve been friends for years, Alaric.” You replied starting to get uncomfortable with the arguments. “Theo’s been a constant in my life when nothing else has.”
Theodore couldn’t help but smile at that. A big part of that was because he was head-over-heels in love with you. He never would’ve abandoned you though, ever.
“It’s me or him.” Alaric spoke up quickly noticing how your face crumbled. That’s exactly what he wanted. He wanted you to hurt and to strip everything about your life apart. If only you had understood that earlier.
“What? No, you can’t make me choose!” You rejected shaking your head as you felt tears come to your eyes.
He stepped closer to you, gripping your arms a bit harsher than intended. “You know, I bet you’d love that little enchanted picture to get out wouldn’t you?” Your face paled and your breath hitched. “It’d really show your friends how much of a whore you are wouldn’t it?”
“I asked you to burn that.” You spoke steadily as tears finally fell. “You said you got rid of it.”
Your boyfriend shrugged, “I lied. I knew I could use it. So… me or your precious Theodore.?” He taunted slightly, “I’ll give you until breakfast tomorrow.”
Alaric gave you a dark smile as he backed away and eventually turned around to leave. That’s when you broke down and that was the first time Theodore was officially about to place the unforgivable curse on someone. He wanted to go comfort you. He really did, but he knew he had business to take care of.
Later that night, your boyfriend was walking through the dungeons after walking you to the common room. He kept the cocky smirk on his face as he tried to make his way back to the his common room. Key word, tried.
Before he could leave the dungeons his back was slammed against the wall. Hard. Alaric fought a wince before he noticed who was pushing him against the wall.
“What do you want, Nott?” Alaric hissed his eyes burning with anger noticing the pure-bloods cold demeanor.
Theo pushed against the Gryffindor’s body harder making sure to cause pain to the boy. “Where’s the picture.” He demanded his eyes burning with rage thinking about the argument he had heard earlier.
Your boyfriend let out a laugh at the Slytherin boys response. Of course he was watching over you earlier. How could he think your guard dog left you alone. “It’s pathetic that you watch her every move.” The Gryffindor taunted. “But why do you want the picture anyway? Why would you want to see the girl you’re in love with be a complete whore for someone else?”
“Give. Me. That. Damn. Picture.” Theo sneered his arm putting more intense pressure on his neck.
Wrenwood rolled his eyes, “what do you even see in her?” He asked with a cocky tone. “You have girls falling at your feet and you’re so caught up on someone that’s average at best.”
That remark done it. Theodore was seeing red and before he could think he threw his arm back and before swinging forward as hard as he could. He got two good punches in before he felt his arm get caught on the third one.
“He’s not worth it, mate.” The voice of Draco spoke up since he was the one to stop him from punching again.
Before Theodore could reply or catch his breathe your idiot of a boyfriend broke out into laughter. “Your so obsessed with someone who doesn’t even love you. On top of that, she’s not even a good lay, man. I’ve heard the rumors about you… she wouldn’t satisfy your needs.” He spoke with a dark tone. “She’ll never love you, Nott.” He teased angrily trying to make Theodore mad again. “and when I’m done with that slut, she’ll be broken anyway.”
Theodore jerked out of Draco’s grasp before pummeling Alaric to the ground and sent punch after punch. The Slytherin only stopped before the Gryffindor was unconscious. “If you’re so sure she’ll never love me… then why make her choose between me and you.” Theodore leaned down and taunted as he watched the Gryffindor try to sit up while pouring blood. Theo then reached into the injured ones robe pocket and pulled out the enchanted photo.
He made sure not to look at it. He didn’t want to know what it was, but he knew he wanted it gone. He took his wand, and in front of your boyfriend, did the spell that would get rid of it forever. “Next time you want to threaten my girl with a photo you took…. I’ll avada you.” The Slytherin sneered before kicking your boyfriend in the stomach and walking away.
❤️🩹
Months had passed since your boyfriend had threaten you with the picture and surprisingly enough he didn’t make you choose. You had your suspicions as to why when he walked into breakfast the next morning with a bruised face and refused to look at you the whole day. But you would’ve been lying if you said it wasn’t a very peaceful day without him.
Fast forward to now you had officially been dating for 1 year and 6 months. Something that you were proud to say you worked through. Except everyone but you could tell you were mainly an emotional punching bag for him.
“Y/N,” a voice broke you out of your thoughts. You looked behind you to notice Hermione Granger walking up to you. It was strange for her to willingly talk to you unless it was about school, but you sent her a small smile anyway. “I just wanted to say that I’m sorry. What Wrenwood did to you was awful. No one deserves that.” She spoke sincerely with a look of sadness and pity in her eyes.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, “what are you talking about?” You asked softly awaiting an explanation.
“I’m talking about Wrenwood and Nightbloom getting caught in the prefect bathroom…” Hermione trailed off softly. “Have you not heard?”
Your eyes widen slightly as you felt them become glassy. “I didn’t hear.” You mumbled as you swallowed the lump in your throat.
“I’m sorry.” Hermione mumbled before rushing away as if she had said something bad.
You were confused, hurt, angry, and overall anxious. Surely Hermione had just heard wrong. You knew the brightest witch your age wouldn’t gossip on purpose and she was very sincere in her apology. So you knew that you needed to find your boyfriend and talk to him.
*
You were determined to find him before the end of the day. And with your luck, you found him right outside of your next class which you just so happened to have with the Gryffindors. Once your eyes landed on his figure you made your way straight to him.
A smirk grew on his face once he locked eyes with you. Before he could say anything, “what the hell is everyone talking about?” You snapped. You were livid. Way beyond angry.
“What are you talking about?” He played off coolly, already getting the ‘you’re paranoid’ card ready.
“Do NOT play dumb with me.” You spat at him. It drew attention and everyone around was shocked that you were standing up to your toxic boyfriend. “Having sex with Lavinia NightBloom in the prefect bathroom. Really?”
Alaric’s eyes widen slightly not expecting you to yell that out in front of everyone. Even though almost every single Gryffindor knew and word had spread about to plenty of Slytherins and probably other houses too. “Baby, now listen. It was a mistake… a total moment of weakness.” He started trying to charm his way out of it but there was no way it was going to work. “Plus that was so yesterday… and the day before that. Let’s leave the past in the past, yeah? Focus on the future.” You scoffed and slapped his hand away as he went to grab you. “Come on, baby. What’d you want me to do? Say no and turn her down?”
“YES! That’s exactly what you’re suppose to do.” You huffed and took a step back from him. You were about to lose it and you knew once the anger was gone that the dam holding back the pain and tears would break.
He sighed and ran a hand over his face, “listen, I’m a man and I have needs. Some that you cannot fulfill. So instead of having me embarrass you in front of everyone… we let it slide.” He whispered causing a look of disgust to appear on your face.
“You cheat on me and expect me to let it go? Oh no! That’s not how that works.” You snap causing him to roll his eyes in his own dramatic way.
“Look, just forgive me. We’ll go back to normal and everything stays the same.”
“Nothing will be the same. I cant even trust you now!”
The crowded had slowly made their way inside the classroom that you two were fighting close too. Knowing that class was starting or had already started. “Listen,” Alaric mumbled darkly as he started pushing you back until he had you trapped between him and the wall. “You’re going to forgive me. I’ll play into your theatrics and act like I’m so very sorry and make everyone swoon. You’ll accept and nothing will change. I might have trained you to be a perfect little girlfriend but I need freakier in the sheets than what you have been.”
The uncomfortable and disgusted feeling came back as those words left his mouth. You felt like vomiting because of it. You quickly pushed him away before landing a hard slap on his face. Hard enough to startle him and turn his head to the side. “We’re over.” You snapped before trying to go around him but he grabbed you to stop you.
“I suggest you let her go.” The voice of Theodore Nott spoke up as his footsteps got closer and he stopped beside you. “If you don’t want a repeat of what happened 9 months ago, then let her go.”
Wrenwood’s hand let go of your arm before glaring at the Slytherin boy. “Your stalker coming to save the day.” He fake chuckled as his eyes darted between the two slytherins. “You’ve been screwing around haven’t you? Behind my back.” He sneered as he noticed the way you slightly (unintentionally) leaned closer to Theo for comfort.
Theodore sent him a sarcastic smile, one that held anger and annoyance. “Sucks to be you, doesn’t it?”
You rolled your eyes at his antics but replied to your ex-boyfriend anyways, “you know I’ve been loyal to you, but that’s over now.”
The Gryffindor boy laughed with a shake of his head, “you’ll come crawling back. No one will want a broken mess.” He taunted.
You stiffened knowing that you had many insecurities ever since becoming his girlfriend. You used to have a spark about you. The right amount of confidence, where you weren’t cocky or arrogant but weren’t insecure either. It was completely gone now. You had completely changed and honestly you didn’t know who you were anymore.
“You know I’m right.” He taunted one last time before walking around the pair to get to class.
You were frozen and that was even after he was gone. That feeling was coming back, the feeling of an anxiety attack. You’re hands were starting to shake, tears coming to your eyes as your breathing became harder and shortened. Your heart was racing and the anxiety made it feel like your throat was closing and you couldn’t breath.
“Hey, love.” Theo spoke softly. He was able to tell when they were happening and he seemed to always be your anchor. His warm hand had started rubbing your arm slowly to ground you. “Breathe with me.” He whispered calmly as he stood in front of you. He guided you through breathing exercises, all the while his dark warm eyes stayed locked on you. “That’s it.” He encouraged as he noticed your breathing calm down and your shaky breaths starting to be more consistent.
Once you were calmed down enough to be alone… you ran off. Not even telling your best friend anything or thanking him. You needed to be alone. You didn’t want the dam to break in the middle of Hogwarts. You didn’t want everyone to see the ‘broken mess’ you had become.
❤️🩹
Pansy was pissed when she had returned to your shared dorm and noticed you crying in bed. Not even crying, full on melting down. She had no ounce of judgment but she was worried about you. Yes, she knew that breakups were bad, especially toxic ones. However, she had never seen you the way you were now.
She knew you wouldn’t want to talk or go to dinner. You probably wouldn’t even eat but she was bringing you something anyway.
Your absence from dinner was noticed by Theodore the most. His eyes wandered trying to find you… to make sure you were okay. “You’re not going to find her.” Pansy spoke softly with her face full of worry. “She’s… not well.”
Theo felt his own heart break. He knew you wouldn’t be fine because of everything that happened, but he had hoped you’d be here so he could make it better. “I want to see her.”
Pansy shook her head, “she won’t feel up to it, Theo.” The girl replied.
The Nott boys jaw clenched as his gaze turned ice cold and his eyes met with the smirking Wrenwood boy. Your ex was smug because he had successfully broken you… well he thought he had. Except Theodore refused to let that be true. You weren’t broken and you didn’t need fixed. You just needed to find your spark again and he was going to help you find it.

It took two days for you to leave your room. It was faster than the girls had expected, but you still weren’t you. You still avoided classes and meal times, still not wanting to see the pity glances from some, smug faces from others, and everyone’s eyes being trained on you.
Your friend’s faces said enough when you walked down to the common room after the two days of being cooped up. You looked rough and you knew it. Your eyes were swollen and cheeks were puffy. Your hair was thrown up messily and you were in comfy clothing.
Without saying a word, you took the seat beside Theo, your safe space (if you were being honest), and leaned into him a bit in need of comfort. His arm immediately wrapped around you seeming to understand exactly what you needed.
Enzo was the first one to speak up, “how are you feeling?” He asked hesitantly; knowing that you weren’t well. He just didn’t want to seem rude by not paying attention to her appearance.
“okay.” You whispered back; not really having the strength to speak up. Your body was exhausted and you hadn’t eaten.
Enzo sent you a small smile, “if it makes you feel any better… Wrenwood is in the hospital wing.” Before anyone else could reply or you could process what he said, a smack was heard followed by Lorenzo letting out an, “ouch, riddle what was that for?”
Confused by what was happening, your gaze looked up at Theodore (who was glaring at Enzo). “Whats that about?” You asked lowly.
Your voice took Theodore’s eyes off his friend and they moved to your swollen eyes. You could visibly see his eyes soften when they met yours which was something you had noticed before. “Nothing.” He replied back quietly with a shake of his head.
You stayed in the common room for most of the day. Only leaving for the restroom or to go get your school books. You weren’t attending class but Pansy was trying to ensure you didn’t fall behind. It was currently dinner and everyone else was in the great hall; except you and Theo (who had insisted on staying back).
You were lost in thought, your notes and Pansy’s notes on your lap. Nothing felt right and you were starting to realize that it hadn’t for a long time. You were hurt at Alaric’s infidelity but that wasn’t as surprising as it should have been.
You thought back to how everything was before the stupid relationship. How you felt and who you were. If you were honest, every single time you looked in the mirror; you didn’t see yourself. You noticed someone who looked like you but she was unrecognizable.
Theo seemed to notice your change in demeanor as you got lost in your thoughts. “What’s going on in your mind, bella?” He spoke softly using the nickname he used to call you.
Breaking out of your thoughts you looked up to meet his gaze; “it’s nothing.” Shaking your head you dismissed his question and your thoughts.
Theo didn’t push you because he was scared you’d go back to avoiding everyone. He was respecting your wishes, even if he felt you should talk about it.
“You can tell me anything if you ever want to talk about it.” That was one thing you already knew about Theodore. You knew that he was a judgment free zone and that he cared for you. It was true that you were oblivious to his feelings but you knew he cared about you at least like a friend.
❤️🩹
It took about a week to get back into your classes. You were hurt, true, but you were more embarrassed. You had a whole week to think back on how he treated you and now you understood that everyone noticed. Everyone except you.
So that was why you were going to try to make it seem as if everything was normal. You had your full makeup on, hair curled/styled to perfection and overall you looked like the version of yourself right before the break up.
During the day you had noticed a few glances your way to see if you were miserable. You just kept your head high and stayed with your friends all day.
The professors were pleased that you had taken it upon yourself to catch up on all the missed work while you were out. It felt nice to be caught up on all of the homework and class work that you had missed. You had plenty of time to do it.
You were pleased with yourself with how well you were able to pretend to be perfectly fine. You had even attended meals with your friends , even if you still didn’t have much of an appetite. The conversations at the table carried on like normal, but your smile still didn’t reach your eyes.
❤️🩹
You didn’t seem to notice when you were starting to let loose again. All you knew was that you were currently in the library with Theo working on an assignment that you were paired together for. He had taken your attention off your homework (which he has always been great at) and started teasing you.
“That’s not fair!” You playfully argued back feeling yourself let a genuine smile grow on your face. “Let me do it again.”
Theo rolled his eyes *playfully* before handing over what he was showing you. You tried to redo what he had showed you only for you to fail again. Third time was a charm and you knew it. So you quickly tried again only for it to work.
“Ha! I told you.” You spoke excitedly before you let a laugh slip out. Only you caught yourself after a moment. Theo’s smile dropped once he realized why you stopped. You cleared your throat before tucking a piece of hair behind your ear, “I’m sorry. That wasn’t… ladylike.” You apologized quickly.
Theodore’s heart sank at your apology. “You don’t have to apologize for being yourself.” He assured trying not to sound upset about you holding back. “You don’t have to keep trying to be the girl you’re not.”
You sighed the sinking feeling coming back, “I don’t know how to be who I was before… everything.”
Theodore thought for a moment. He knew what he wanted to say but he wanted it to come out less… shallow? Judgmental? “You were perfect before, stellina. There was no need for any change.”
“You’re my best friend… of course you’ll say that.” You replied crossing your arms. You had to admit that your anxiety had lessened since getting rid of Wrenwood.
Theodore shook his head. He hated that term; friend, like they weren’t closer than that prior to her Gryffindor boyfriend. “I’m saying it because it’s true.” He defended. “None of us ever had a problem with you and you never had a problem with yourself until that prick.”
“Theo,” you sighed but he wasn’t done ranting.
“—seriously, you’re beautiful without your makeup, you don’t even need the light stuff you used before. You’ve always looked perfect whether you styled your hair or just threw it up. Your voice, your laugh… everything about you was perfect. You’re still perfect, but he’s changed your mindset.” Theodore ranted not caring if he accidentally let his feelings show. “And if I had just stepped in and not listened to Mattheo the first time I noticed, then I could’ve saved you all this heartbreak.”
Your heartbeat sped up as you let his ranting sink into your brain. “When did you first notice?” Your eyebrows were furrowed in confusion and your eyes held a curious spark.
Theo shrugged leaning back like he had to think but he knew exactly when, “maybe around four or five months of you two dating.” He mumbled keeping his gaze down on the potions work on the table. “You were sitting with us at mealtime and you–you laughed at something Pansy had said…” he trailed with a sigh following. “Then you suddenly went quiet and your eyes darted straight to Wrenwood.” He grumbled before let out a humorless laugh, “and I’ll be honest. I didn’t think anything too deep about it at first. Until it kept happening.”
You knew exactly what he was talking about. Around four months was when Alaric had went from charming, sweet, and caring to controlling. He had started off slow after he had love-bombed you (which was a red flag in itself but you refused to say it back until 11 months) until he began making remarks like; “your pretty and all but more makeup would make you look amazing.” – “why is your hair so ratty today? You really should care about your outward appearance.” – “your laugh is too loud, it makes you too much.” – “seriously, why does your laugh sound like that?” – “why do you smile all the time? It’s exhausting.” And there were plenty more insults that led to you getting anxious. The need of having to control yourself to make your boyfriend happy and hopefully not annoy your best friends.
Your eyes glazed over with tears that you refused to let fall, “he made me feel like I was a burden to everyone… not just him.”
Theo frowned hearing that because he thought the group did a pretty good job of showing how much they cared for her. Everyone in their friends group bickered but it wasn’t a thing they stayed stuck on. It was just how the group of slytherin’s did. “Boys like that want control and I wish he didn’t treat you like that, bellissimo.”
Your heart melted. You had been single for going on six months and you wanted nothing more than to get back to your old self. Not to mention that you had been feeling better the last month or two… like a breath of fresh air.
“but I thought that’s how you were?” You joked trying to change the subject. You knew that the rumors that swirled around never bothered Theo. He had the reputation of a womanizer, but you had only known him to go out with one girl since you’ve been around him and that was to the Yule ball a year or two ago.
Theo gave you a look that caused a small smile to appear on your face. “totally.” He grumbled. “I don’t care what they say.” He shrugged his gaze settling on you.
“I know you aren’t like that.” You assured giving his hand a pat.
That was the night that Theodore had almost let those three little words slip. The words that have been eating him alive for years.
**
*1 year later*
It took a year, a full year after your break up to return to yourself. Well, mostly to your normal self. You still had some anxiety issues that randomly occurred, but you had managed to keep them at bay; thanks to Theo. You had to admit that he was mainly the reason that everything was falling back into place. He always had a gentle reminder to be you, no matter what.
“Are you coming to Hogsmeade with us Saturday?” Daphne asked you as you and the girls sat on your beds.
You shrugged, “Possibly. I’m going with Theo but he may be going with the guys.” The explanation caused Daphne and Pansy to give each other a look. One that you didn’t miss. “What? Why are you guys making those faces?”
Pansy let out a huffed laughed, “you’re telling me that you still can’t see how that boy feels about you?” She asked.
“Theo? He doesn’t—“ you had started to say before Daphne and Pansy both interrupted you.
“Yes, he does.” Daphne replied while Pansy had said, “he’s head over heels for you.”
You shook your head refusing to believe what they said. “He’s my best friend. He doesn’t view me as anything else.” You assured them.
Daphne snorted, “okay.. and I didn’t bang Mattheo after the Yule ball.” She spoke sarcastically.
Pansy shot the Greengrass girl a disgusted glare before turning her attention back to the oblivious girl. “He’s been pining after you since third year…. If not earlier.” And before you could object again she gave you another look, “how many girls has he been with since you’ve known him?”
You shrugged, thinking about what she had asked. “I don’t know… one or two?” If you were being honest; you didn’t want to think about that. Because now the thought of him with someone began to make you sick to your stomach. Which was new for you.
“Exactly.” Pansy replied. “He wants you. Why else would he beat the shit out of your ex after the breakup?”
Daphne nodded her head in agreement, “and Draco told me that Theo was the one to bruise his face after he had heard you two arguing. Draco mentioned that he was on a ‘mission’ to destroy a piece of blackmail.” She explained.
You stood up from your bed, “he’s the one that beat him up? Both times?”
Pansy and Daphne nodded, “I rest my case.” Pansy stated knowing that she had, hopefully, finally convinced you.
“I have to go.” You mumbled before grabbing a cloak and rushing out the door. Mainly because you were sick… worried about Theo knowing what that picture consisted of.
“Go get your man!”
*
You already knew where he would be. He was always at the astronomy tower on Wednesday nights. He claimed those were his “me-time” smoking sessions.
You could feel your nerves in your stomach for many reasons. Mainly because you were about to find out if he truly saw the photo. You were worried that he viewed you differently because of it. It wasn’t something you were proud of and it was from a night you and him were drunk.
Your footsteps came to a halt when you caught his outline. He was leaning against the stone and facing the sky. Taking a deep breath, you took another step to finish your mission. You knew he’d still be your friend even if he did think differently of you.
“Hey,” you spoke softly to make yourself known. You carefully made your way over and stood beside him. “mind if I join you?”
Theodore shook his head, “you know I always want you around.” He teased but you caught a bit of seriousness about it. He took a puff of his cigarette before looking over in your direction, “you okay?” He asked softly after blowing out the smoke.
You nodded, keeping your eyes trained on the clear sky. The stars were extra interesting to you tonight. After a moment of silence you sighed and turned to the side to face him. “Can I… ask you something?”
Theo nodded taking the last puff of his cigarette before squishing it out and placing it in an ashtray. He blew the smoke out and patiently waited for the question since he didn’t know exactly what you were going to ask.
You sighed and nervously played with your hands, “were you the reason Wrenwood came to breakfast with bruises that one time?” That was the easier question you could ask. Because you knew Theo would be honest with you and if he did do it, then he was the reason she didn’t have to choose. Because her ex had lost his leverage.
Theo repositioned himself not really understanding where you might go with this. “I was.” He spoke truthfully.
Your breath hitched, there it was. The truth that you were scared for. “That means you saw the enchanted photo.” You whispered. “I-I can explain it. I was drunk and it was after a party in Gryffindor and his friends were making jokes about inappropriate videos… and he was saying some very vulgar things so I decided to ‘let loose’ and—“
Theo cut you off not wanting to know where you were going with it. He would rather stay in the dark than know about your… activities with your dick of an ex. “Tesoro,” he shook his head. “I didn’t see the photo. I destroyed it and that’s it.”
You let out a sign of relief before nodding your head in confirmation. “I didn’t want you to think differently about me.” You admitted.
Theo’s gaze softened, “trust me, nothing could make that happen.” He promised. He meant it whether you believed him or not.
“So you were the reason he was in the hospital wing after the break up?” You asked as you recalled what Enzo had said and what Pansy had said.
“Yes,” he shrugged but then he took a step closer to you. “To be fair you weren’t letting me see you and he was walking about with that arrogant attitude…” he defended which made you laugh, your real laugh. The one that made Theo smile bigger than ever.
Once you two had called down a little, your gaze was fixed on the stars. Theo’s gaze was solely fixed on you. You didn’t notice; not at first anyway.
“You know…” you trailed off knowing you were fixing to get to know Theo’s feelings. “Pansy swears that you’ve been pining after me since third year.” Your voice came our soft. No judgment, but also not love struck. “I told her she was wrong but she insists on you being ‘head-over-heels’ in love with me.”
It took a moment for him to say anything and that alone made you anxious. “Pansy’s wrong.” He replied noticing the way a flash of disappointment settled on your face. You quickly hid it before letting out a fake laugh. “I’ve been pining after you since second year.” He corrected.
Your breath caught in your throat as the disappointment washed away. You weren’t sure what to say. Because you had been blind for over three years.
“I’ve been in love with you since third year.” He admitted. “You don’t know how many times I have beaten myself up over not telling you.” He added in a softer and quieter tone. “Because if I would’ve told you, then maybe you would’ve been with me the past three years and all your hurt would’ve been avoided.”
You turned your gaze to him, “it’s not your fault, Theo.” You replied in hopes he knew that. “I was stupid and oblivious to everything.”
“You’re not stupid… maybe visually impaired to people’s romantic feelings.” He assured and teased.
You rolled your eyes but didn’t argue at what he said. “In case you’re wondering; I love you too.” You whispered a reply, as a smile graced your features when his broke out into a grin. “I had a crush or something on you since the end of third year, but this past year really opened my eyes.”
Theodore knew his smile couldn’t get any bigger. He had waited years (four years to he exact since you all were in your sixth year now) for you, but he knew it was definitely worth every second.
“Is it too soon to kiss you?” He asked softly as his gaze darted from your eyes to your lips.
You shook your head before grabbed his sweater and yanking him towards you. Your lips collided with his for the first time (which was way over due) and your heart rate sped up. He kissed you back as soon as his lips touched yours, but you could feel the years of longing and waiting behind his kiss.
Theo wrapped his arms around your waist and tugged you closer, deepening the kiss as he done so. The taste of smoke lingered a bit on his tongue but you didn’t mind. It’s what made Theo, well, Theo.
You pulled away for a breath but your break didn’t last long before he was pulling you in again. He was kissing you as if his life depended on it and you weren’t complaining.
“About damn time.” A voice broke you two apart causing you two to be startled a bit. Mattheo was looking at you two with a smug look on his face. “I didn’t expect to walk in and see Theo sucking your facing off.”
You rolled your eyes and wrapped your arms around Theo’s waist before hiding your embarrassment in his sweater.
“You could’ve turned and went back to the dorm.” Theo replied glaring at his friend.
Mattheo shrugged while lighting his cigarette, “I was about to send you two off.” He spoke normally like he hadn’t just witnessed his two friends making out. “But seriously, dorms empty right now.” He winked at Theo.
Before Mattheo could say anything else, you had pulled away from Theo and tugged him towards the stairs. You were going to give the Riddle boy his own space and you wanted to be with Theo in private for a few more minutes.
“Don’t forget to wrap it up, Nott.” Mattheo yelled down the stairs to the new couple.

24 hours, that was all the time that she was giving herself to be able to save Mattheo or distract Voldemort’s army from killing the boy. Using the cruciatus curse on Bellatrix would no doubt get him in deep trouble, not even with only his parents but Y/N’s parents also. How could she sneak into the Riddle mansion without being caught? She had never stepped foot into that place before, but she knew there was a spell somewhere that could help her get there.
“Think, Y/N, think.” She mumbled to herself as she rummaged through the closet back at her apartment. It has been searched previously. A window had been busted out, she noticed when she arrived, and the bedroom was unorganized and looked as though people had been searching for her. “Here it is.” She mumbled when she pulled a small box out of her messy closet.
The small box contained what her and Mattheo had been working on. While it wasn’t proven to work… why not try it out on Voldemort’s army? It was a bad idea, but it was the only one she had. Mattheo, being the one to come from a dark wizard family, could see where she was going with her plan at that time. He was even unsure if it would work, but he knew it was worth a try. To make sure she had everything, she went through the box, nothing the difference between his handwriting and hers. She picked up one of the vials that he had labeled for her, noticing the way he had written that night when creating them.
-Flashback-
“Y’know, this might be the best idea you’ve had.” Mattheo mumbled watching the cauldron start to bubble. A sign that it was time to do the next step.
“I just hope it works.” She replied knowing that her idea was a hit or miss. It wasn’t guaranteed to work and even then, it may not work the way the two think.
The pair added the ingredients until their potion was done. The idea of her plan working way a plus. It would help Harry and her friends, along with helping Mattheo. Once it was done she had instructed him to write the labels for her while she filled the bottles and vials with the potion. It was merely an experiment, but one that could save many people during the impending war if it worked. Once they were stored and labeled, Y/N pulled out a small box and started putting the research journal and potion in said box to keep it safe.
“What are the chances?” She whispered shutting the box while purposely leaving multiple vials out. She whispered a charm to lock the box and not allow it to be unlocked with any common spells known to every witch or wizard. “Is there any hope for it to work?”
Mattheo studied the box in the girls hand before glancing back up at her, “It’s never been heard of.” He admitted. “But if there’s anything I know, it’s how smart you are. You would definitely be the one to find a loophole.” He assured meeting her eyes as he spoke truthfully.
Y/N gave him a small smile before sitting down the box and picking up the extra vials sitting out. Without saying anything she held them out towards her boyfriend. “I want you to take these.” She mumbled urging Mattheo to grab the vials in her hand. “Keep them, in case you are ever in a place to where you may need it.” She added. She hoped Mattheo would never be in a situation to where he would consider using the potion but she never knew. Especially not with his parents. “If you don’t want all of them, you can give one to my brother, Draco, and Theo.”
Mattheo gently took the extra vials from her hands and tucked them in his pant pocket knowing there was no need to argue with her. “It’s bad.” He admitted as he leaned back on his hands. “Your parents are trying their best to locate you. My parents are making plans for me to help them end the blood-traitors.” He explained.
“You mean, the Weasley’s?” Y/N asked knowing that she had heard that term used previously from her parents. No doubt has she heard it from Draco as well. Mattheo nodded his head knowing that his girlfriend wouldn’t like the idea. He didn’t even like the idea. “Should I be worried?”
“About your friends?” He asked thinking that’s what she meant.
“About you?” She replied.
Mattheo shrugged, he tried to look relaxed and cool. The only problem with his facade is that Y/N had gotten good at reading him like an open book. “Depends.” He mumbled not knowing exactly how to answer. “I know my place in my family… this army business.” He assured not going into much detail.
“Did you-“ Y/N cut herself off from asking but she still rubbed her arm knowing what she wanted to ask. She was sure it was there, especially since Draco was fully one and no doubt her brother.
Mattheo didn’t say anything knowing what she was asking. He leaned forward a bit to pull his arm from behind him. He carefully pulled his sleeve to his shirt up, showing the mark the branded his arm. Y/N knew he had gotten it but part of her was still hoping that he hadn’t. Being the son of Voldemort, it was a given that he would have to get the mark. To swear his undying loyalty to his father and his plans.
After a few moment, Mattheo pulled his sleeve down and moved to stand up. “I should probably go.” He spoke, getting up from the bedroom floor.
Y/N stood up with him so she could walk him to her front door. Her stomach tightened, knowing that she didn’t know when she would see him again. “If you or one of you try it… you’ll have to let me know if it works.” Mattheo nodded not saying nothing. Probably sensing he would get in trouble if anyone knew that he had something he planned to keep concealed. “Hey,” Y/N called quietly to gain his attention. “I love you, no matter what.”
-End-
Y/N’s eyes stayed trained on the bottle that contained the liquid. She wondered if they had to use any of it yet and if it worked. Instead of thinking too much, she put a few vials in her pocket and sealed the box back, hiding it once again. She didn’t know exactly where she was going, but she could figure out enough. At least she hoped.
Giving a once over around her apartment again, she sighed. Her nerves started to heighten knowing what she was fixing to walk into. With one last sad look she made her way to the front door to try to go save Mattheo. That was until she ran into something hard outside of her door.
Y/N’s heartbeat sped up, noticing the black attire to the person who stood in front of her. But to her relief when she got to the face, it was one she knew all too well. “Theo.” She breathed out trying to catch her breath and calm her nerves. “What are you doing here?”
Theo looked slightly stunned at the girl for willingly being in her home. “Draco and I were suppose to search your house.” He replied. Y/N could tell that he had not expected to run into her. “Draco refused after we left the manor, saying he’ll be a house or two down.”
Instead of focusing on the Nott boy’s plan from the death eaters, part of her was glad to run into the boy. “I need your help.” She stated. Confusion fell onto Theodore’s face hearing her say those words. “But first, is Mattheo okay?”
Realization dawned on the boy, “You’re the reason he cursed his mother.” It wasn’t uncommon for the younger death eaters to be left out of the loop on certain things. But it would make sense as to why they wanted the two to come search her house again. “Honestly, I haven’t seen him since last night.”
Y/N gave him a knowing look, “I need you to sneak me into the Riddle mansion.”
Theo’s eyes went wide before he started shaking his head. “No way. They’ll hurt you or worse… and then if Mattheo survives he’ll kill me for helping bring you there.”
“I wasn’t asking.”
*time skip*
“Is this seriously the best plan you could come up with?” Theo muttered as Y/N, in otter form, crawled into boy’s cloak pocket. It worked that she was a small-clawed otter, or else she would’ve been too big to fit in his pocket.
Draco and Theo walked back into the gate of the Riddle Manor, where Voldemort had made his headquarters. Also where he had been hiding out trying to gain power. Theo and Draco had given their findings to one of the main death eaters who seem to report to the ‘boss’. The mansion was dark and a gloomy and uneasy feeling settled over the girl who had shrunk back as far as possible in Theodore’s cloak. She had thought that her home was awful and scary, but she couldn’t even compare her old home to this. It’s like as soon as Draco and Theo entered that the happiness was sucked out of her and she felt void.
It wasn’t surprising, given that Voldemort was someone who couldn’t love. Especially being in his home where the walls felt eerie from the dark magic. That was what hisself and the house were made up of, dark magic. If y/n was honest, then she would be shaking in her boots if she was walking into this place.
“He’s just a boy. Why don’t you give him a break and return to punishment later?” A voice was heard down the hall. “He said he didn’t want him killed.”
The voice of Bellatrix fought back to the original woman before she finally gave up and walked away. Letting her curiosity get the better of her, she let her head peak out to see Mattheo’s mother walk away and Narcissa Malfoy stand there looking solemn.
Y/n shrunk back down in the pocket once the two boys approaches Draco’s mother. The last thing she wanted to do was be caught, but the corridor was so dark, how could she? Draco talked to his mother for a moment before the pair walked away.
“He’s down this hall.” Theo whispered so low that she almost missed it.
“Mr. Theodore Nott.” One of the death eaters spoke. Y/N could feel him stiffen from her place in his pocket. “Master seems to think you brought someone with you.”
“I don’t know what he’s talking about.” Theodore replied coolly to not seem suspicious.
While he was distracted, Y/n took it upon herself to run down his backside and run down the darkened hallway. Only to find a cell like door at the end, without even checking to see if it was the right one she ran in. Her heart dropped in her animal form upon seeing a beaten up Mattheo. She thought his fights at school had been bad, but this time he had been beaten until he looked… horrible. Blood, bruises, and cuts lined his body and face. The white shirt he had been wearing ripped and bloody. That was just the physical appearance, she knew that they had used hexes and curses on him as well as punishment.
Mattheo was sitting in the floor, back and head against the cement walls. His breathing was ragged and his eyes closed. Y/N carefully crawled up his leg making him open his eyes and look down to what was tickling him. Upon seeing her, his eyes widen slightly his head shaking, “no, no, no.” he mumbled seeing the animal sitting on his lap. “I’m in here because I wanted you far away from here.” He whispered yelled to the animal.
Y/N ran off his lap before changing back into herself and looking him over, “I couldn’t let them kill you because you protected me.” She whispered back moving back towards him. “I need to get you out of here.”
Mattheo shook his head, “I’m not going with you.” He denied still trying to catch his breath and recover from what his mother did to him. “I cannot risk them finding you. You need to get out of here as fast and as quiet as you can.”
She shook her head, “I am not leaving you.” She denied. “If they want to kill you… they can kill me too.”
Mattheo shook his head, “This isn’t some love story, Y/N.” He snapped harshly but still quiet enough to not draw attention to his cell-like room.
She shrugged not fazed by his attitude, “maybe not. But I don’t want to live my life knowing that they hurt you… or worse killed you because of me.”
Mattheo went to reply before they both heard a whistle and footsteps of one of the death eaters heading towards the cell. Without thinking, Y/N grabbed onto Mattheo’s ripped shirt and used the apparatus spell to get them away from the Riddle Manor.
The pair popped up in the muggle city, many normal people walking by. A few curious eyes looking towards Mattheo and his appearance. They had landed here because she had thought about it due to her and Hermione talking about it at the burrow before the wedding. She hurried and pulled the boy towards the ally way where she had heard was wizard apartments.
“What the hell were you thinking?” Mattheo snapped as Y/n let go of his shirt and waited for the door to appear. “Are you trying to get killed?” He seethed. She ignored him as she walked into the door and towards the front desk, she showed her card to the wizard at the front and he handed her the key to the room she knew too well.
Once she dragged Mattheo into the room, she placed a charm on her and Mattheo to where they couldn’t be tracked. Regardless of dark magic or not, a spell she had saved from one of her families books. Perks of coming from a family of death eaters. She had also locked the door with a spell that would be harder to break than the common ones.
“Why would you do that?” Mattheo snapped not caring about the spells, charms, whatever she had placed over the apartment they were in.
“Because I love you, you idiot.” Y/N snapped finally getting tired of his anger and attitude from her saving him. “We both know that they were going to end up killing you, regardless if that was the plan right now or not.” She yelled back finally letting her frustration out. “I knew-I knew I had to get you out of there and lucky for me Theo showed up to my house-.”
“Theo? Theodore’s the one that helped you?” Mattheo asked his anger still very evident in his tone and his face.
She nodded, “yes. I hid in his pocket… to be exact.” She replied crossing her arms and eyeing the boy across from her.
Mattheo huffed and shook his head, “What did you kiss and make up?” He muttered the question like he was between annoyed and jealous.
She raised one of her eyebrows, arms tightening where they were crossed. “What’s that suppose to mean?” She asked even though it was rhetorical. “I risked my life to save you… why can’t you just be thankful?”
“That’s exactly why I’m not thankful!” He snapped making her flinch for the first time. “I knew what I was in for when I cursed Bellatrix and… I didn’t want you to come save me because I want you safe and far away from there as possible.”
She didn’t miss how he called his mother by her first name. She understood though, because now she didn’t view her parents as parents anymore either. “I don’t want to be safe if that means I’ll never see you again.” She argued back knowing that he still wasn’t calming down.
“I don’t want to be saved if it ends up with you dying!” He argued further. “I would rather die than have to live life without you, merlin, I love you. Isn’t it obvious?”
Y/N froze. Her argument back froze on her tongue as she watched an exhausted Mattheo run his hands through his hair. The hardness in his eyes fading away as he looked over the girl in front of him. “You said it.” She finally murmured out, quiet and shocked to actually hear those words come out of his mouth.
Mattheo nodded slowly, “I did.” He confirmed. His anger slowly faded away as he watched her go through multiple emotions. “Took me long enough, huh?” He joked with a slight huff of a laugh.
“You said you loved me.” Y/N replied, eyes still slightly wide like her mind is still processing.
A small smile made its way on his face as he watched her process those words, “I do love you.” He confirmed to hopefully make her believe that he actually said it. “I mean, for the longest time I thought I couldn’t feel like that but you proved me wrong.” He added softly in hopes of helping her out of her shock.
Her eyes slowly returned to normal as she bit back a smile, “you love me.” She confirmed back as he, yet again, huffed out another laugh and a nod.
“I wouldn’t take a good beating and curses for anybody but you.” He added making her give him a sad smile. “Which reminds me… you think you could patch me up with your wand? They took mine.” Y/N nodded, going back to not saying much as she stepped forward and healed what she could with her wand. After a few moments, what could be healed was and she took a step back with a small smile. “I’m gonna shower… you didn’t happen to think of clothes perhaps?”
Y/N gave him a nod and a small smile, “I did.” She assured as she went towards the closet in the one bedroom and grabbed some clothes for him.
“Thank you.” He told her softly.
He stepped forward and gave her a small kiss on the forehead before walking around her and into the bathroom. The door shut with a ‘click’ and the sound of the shower turning on made her finally move again. She was for sure down bad for the boy and nothing would ever change that. That was one thing she was sure of.
Without overthinking, she made her way to the bathroom as quiet as possible. She slipped off her clothes and climbed into the shower with him. He had successfully cleaned off of the blood from his face and body, now only left with a few open wounds that magic couldn’t heal fully along with a few deep and dark bruises.
“Fancy seeing you here.” He murmured making her take her eyes off his bruises and move up to meet his. A small smirk laid on his face making her feel like the old Mattheo was still in there, behind all the hurt and chaos that his father and mother had caused.
Without saying anything back to the one she loved, she stepped forward her arms going around his neck. She pushed herself up and locked her lips with his, afraid that she would shy away from him and run out of the shower if she didn’t. Her hands reached up to play with his hair as they kissed, his arms going around her waist to pull her closer. After a moment they pulled away, leaning their forehead’s together to not pull away completely. They stood there, not saying anything, just being in each other’s presence. His arms around her waist tightened to get her as close as possible not wanting her to go anywhere. After a few minutes they finally moved so they could finish showering.
After the shower they got dressed, with Y/N getting out first and leaving the bathroom before Mattheo had gotten out. Once she went back out into the bedroom she climbed into the big bed. It had been a chaotic 24 hours and she was more than ready to crash. Mattheo had joined her a few moments later coming out of the bathroom with shorts on and no shirt. Once he was situated, he pulled the girl closer to him.
“It worked.” Mattheo whispered. His voice heavy with exhaustion as he watched the way she played with his fingers that lay on her waist. She stopped her movements, turning to face him wanting to know what he meant. “She tried to ‘avada kedavra’ me and nothing happened.” He added.
“But Narcissa said-“ Y/n started but he cut her off.
“That she wasn’t suppose to kill me?” He asked softly his arms tightening around the girl when her hand came to rest softly on his face. “She tried… guess thats the first time she disobeyed my father.”
“Are you sure it was the potion and not because you’re her son?” Y/N asked softly not wanting to think about a time where if the potion she made hadn’t have worked that she wouldn’t be with him right now. “Maybe she didn’t actually want to cast it.”
“She doesn’t care about me.” He whispered rubbing circles on her back with his thumb. “It was green so…” he trailed off knowing that she did indeed try to end him.
“I was almost too late.” She whispered as she looked over his face. The face that she almost didn’t get to see again.
Mattheo shook his head softly, “you’re so smart. The smartest person I know.” He complimented trying to get her mind off of the confession he just made to her. “You’ll be the one to go down in history and dark witches and wizards are going to be go mad.” He added moving his hand to brush the hair out of her face.
Y/n didn’t say anything and just leaned in and kissed him. She didn’t know what the coming days would bring, but she knew she didn’t care. As long as she got to be in the arms of Mattheo and they got to stay together, that was all that mattered.
The First Unraveling | G.W [1]
Going back to Hogwarts after what happened the previous year, with the tri-wizard tournament and Voldemort coming back; Y/N Potter was wanting a calm year before death eaters tried to attack. The ministry of magic had other plans by placing Umbridge as a teacher at Hogwarts. What's worse than her detentions? To Y/N it's having the guy she's been crushing on since third year, suddenly choosing to be around her all the time.
Love, Me | O N E
Pairing: George Weasley x Y/N Potter (Fem! Potter! Reader)
Warning(s): a few curse words, ootp movie spoilers, this basically being an introduction to her and George, slow burn!
Note: I hate the summary and how I ended this chapter. I should have split some parts up because the first two - three pages on word are literally exact order of the phoenix scenes but I promise I added my own in there. I wanted to give a good "back story" before jumping in which is why I would honestly consider this like a "pre-chapter" to chapter 1, but I didn't do it that way. It's a kind of slow burn so... also the next part will be better.
The golden Trio and Y/N are also aged up! I don't think anyone's age will be mentioned in this chapter or this series but just in case, I'm writing them as of age. Again, it's not exactly state and it's just my thoughts while I am writing it. 💜

Y/N wasn’t quite sure when it happened. Maybe it was before second year when they came to bust her and Harry out of their aunts house. Maybe it was third year when they gave her and her brother the map to get to Hogsmeade. Whenever it had started, she couldn’t put a finger on it. All she knew was that she had an utterly helpless crush on her friend’s older brother.
“What are we going to do now?” Y/N asked Harry as the two headed to the second floor where Mrs. Weasley had told them Ron was waiting.
“I haven’t gotten that far.” Harry mumbled back.
“If they don’t believe Voldemort’s back, then there are definitely going to be consequences.” The slightly older girl stated to her brother.
Harry didn’t reply, instead pushed open the door to the room where Molly had told the two to wait. “Harry, Y/N!” The twins were immediately wrapped in a hug by their friend. Y/N wrapped her arms around Hermione to return the hug. “Are you alright? We heard them talking about a dementor attack.”
“Let them breathe, Hermione.” Ron spoke up once the Potter’s shut the door.
“The hearing, It’s outrageous. I’ve looked into it and they simply cannot expel you two. It’s unfair!”
“There’s a lot going on in our lives.” Y/N spoke up as she walked forward and sat down on the bed that Hermione was previously waiting on. “Lucky for me I wasn’t there with Harry and Dudley when the Dementors showed up.”
Y/N hated that her brother was under the heat of the ministry, but she was beyond happy she had stayed in the house that day. Simply because her anxiety would not be able to handle the thought of never returning to school with her friends.
“Theres definitely a lot going on at them moment. So, what is this place?” The younger Potter asked as he glanced around the room.
“It’s headquarters.” Ron replied.
“Of the Order of the Phoenix. It’s a secret society. Dumbledore founded it back when they first fought you-know-who.” Hermione explained to the twins.
Y/N let out a huff looking at two of her friends, “This would’ve been nice to know. Instead you’ve left us with our aunt and uncle who despise us.” She muttered crossing her arms.
“Y/N’s right. You couldn’t have told us with a letter or anything?” Harry asked the two friends.
Ron sighed giving Harry an apologetic glance, “We wanted to write, mate, we did but-“
“Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you two anything.” Hermione explained.
“Dumbledore said that? Why would he want to keep us in the dark? Maybe we could help. After all, We’re the ones who saw Voldemort return, we’re the ones who fought him.” Harry explained his annoyance showing through.
“We’re the ones who saw Cedric Diggory get killed.” Y/N mumbled adding on to Harry’s rant with the sight that still haunts her. She would never let on like it did, but the thought of the death eater placing her and Harry’s name in the cup makes her anxious knowing what their magic could work around.
She was knocked out of her thoughts to the appearance of the Weasley Twins popping up beside her. She jumped a bit at first, startled since she was distracted. “Harry, Y/N.” Fred Greeted.
“Thought we heard your dulcet tones.” George joked as he sat himself on the bed beside of Y/N who gave the twins a knowing look.
Fred kept his gaze on the youngest Potter, “Don’t bottle it up, mate. Let it out.” He encouraged jokingly.
“Anyway, if you’re all done shouting-.”
“Do you want to hear something a little more interesting?” Fred gave the group a mischievous look.
The twins held up an ear that had a a string attached to it and then another ear. One of the things that could allow others to eavesdrop on conversations. The group then went and huddled around the stairs so they could hear what the order was saying. “If anyone has the right to know it’s Harry and Y/N. If it was’t for them we wouldn’t even know that Voldemort was back.” The voice of Sirius could be heard through the ear that Fred was holding. “They’re not babies, Molly.”
The Potter Twins looked at each other knowing that their Godfather was more than willing to give them the information about the Dark Lord. Y/N would like to have stayed in the dark if her and her brother weren’t the ones who were in the middle. She would have rather have the adults listen to Mrs. Weasley, but that couldn’t be because she and her brother were the ones to witness his return and to see him.
“They’re not adults either!” Molly argued with Sirius. “They’re not James and Lily, Sirius.”
“They’re not your children.” Sirius retaliated to, who the group assumed, was Mrs. Weasley.
Molly huffed, “They might as well be.”
The oldest Potter scooted herself a bit closer to George, seeing as she was standing in between the twins, to make room for the youngest Weasley when we got to the group. Y/N gave the girl a slight smile as a greeting while Harry greeted Ginny with a simple “Hey, Ginny.” The group kept on listening in. Hearing Sirius and the order go back and forth with each other before Snape’s voice could be heard.
It was a surprise to Y/N to hear the voice of Snape, but she wasn’t against the idea. After all, Gryffindor’s had issues with him, but she seemed to be an exception. Maybe it was because she looked more like her mother than Harry, or maybe it was simply because she wasn’t as outgoing as other Gryffindors. Whatever the matter, she wasn’t complaining that he never gave her a hard time in class.
Their listening was cut short once Hermione’s cat, Crookshanks, started playing with the ear. Which led to the cat tearing the ear off the listening device. Hermione and Ron bickered a bit about the cat as the group dispersed in the Black household, waiting for the order meeting to conclude.
“Hey, Y/N.” The voice of George Weasley spoke up as everyone went their separate ways. Fred was off, probably angry over the cat, and the rest of the group had went back in the room that they had met in. The oldest Potter turned to face him and gave him a slight smile to let him know that she was listening. “Are you alright?” He asked carefully, softly, like he knew deep down the secrets she hid.
She nodded, “As good as one can be.” She replied. Her mind flashing back to when her and Harry had almost gotten in trouble for their names in the goblet, then the tasks, and finally, the maze which led to the graveyard. She pulled herself out of her thoughts before revealing herself to the one in front of her. “Not everyday you try to get killed by an infamous dark wizard.” She tried joking, hoping it would hide her inner thoughts and feelings.
George let a weak smile show up on his face, one that doesn’t appear very often. “Do me a favor, yeah? Don’t hide how you’re feeling.” He whispered to the girl so no one could eavesdrop even if they wanted to. “It’ll all bottle up ’til the top explodes.” With that he gave one last saddened smile before turning to make his way to his own twin brother.
Y/N stood there for a moment, her cheeks slightly flamed. She hoped there was no color on her face at all and it was just her feelings. She knew that he was talking about her emotions and feelings from the twi-wizard tournament and everything. He was definitely not talking about her crush on him, but little did he know, she made herself have plenty to deal with. “Hey George,” She called before he went to enter the room. The ginger turned to face her, awaiting what she was wanting. “Thank you.”
The eerie darkness from Grimmauld’s place didn’t help the nightmares that the girl had been having. Everyone was asleep, the house, quiet and dark. It matched how she felt if she were honest. It felt lonely, the same inner feelings she tended to carry. She knew no one made her feel like that on purpose. It was complicated, everyone being friends with her twin, Ron being the slightly awkward one around girls, Hermione obviously having a crush on Ron, and Ginny having a thing for Harry. Whether the two other girls in their friend group would admit to their crushes, it was obvious, at least to oldest Potter. She tended to feel like the fourth wheel most of the time. Something she would never tell anyone.
“Couldn’t sleep?” A voice came from the shadows breaking the girl out of her thoughts. She didn’t have to turn around to know who it was. The warmth creeping up her neck was enough.
She shrugged at his question, “I slept a bit…” she mumbled pulling her blanket tighter around her shoulders. “Sometimes my mind won’t shut off.” she added to help him understand.
“Do you mind if I-“ He started softly, pointing to the spot on the sofa beside of her. She shook her head and patted the spot to let him know that he was welcome to join her if he really wanted to. “A lot to take in, isn’t it?” He asked whilst getting comfortable.
Y/N let out a sigh, “I hated my life before finding out about Hogwarts, but part of me wonders if it would’ve been for the better.” She mumbled. A thought she had before but she was too scared to admit it. She knew George wouldn’t speak of it again though, which is why she laid it out on the table. The older boy opened his mouth to speak but closed it, not exactly knowing how to respond. “I know, not very Gryffindor of me.” She added fixing the way she was sitting.
It was true. She sometimes thought that the sorting hat made a mistake. The hat decided in no time that she was to be placed in Gryffindor, but she wondered if she would’ve fit better as a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. It would make sense, with her not really liking the idea of going against Voldemort. When it’s all said and done, who would want to go against the ‘Dark Lord’ anyway. Y/N didn’t view herself as brave, courageous, or noble; but she could see how she may fit seeing as she is often very determined and can be quite, daring, when given the opportunity.
“Anyone would be nervous to be where you are.” George replied in hopes of making the girl feel better. Before tonight, the two were familiar. They spoke sometimes and held brief conversations. But they never had quiet, soft, deep, meaningful conversations. The kind that Fred would make fun of his twin for having, or the ones that would make Ron disgusted for his friend having with his brother. Truth be known, Y/N never opened up to anyone much. Not even her own brother… her own twin. “No one wants to go up against… Voldemort. That’s why the ministry is denying his return.”
She knew he was right. The ministry wanted her, Harry, and Dumbledore to be lying in hopes of nothing happening. No matter what they wanted though, the dark wizard was back and people needed to prepare. He wanted to take over the wizard world when they were babies, and his motive definitely hasn’t changed any. “I’ve been having nightmares.” She admitted to the younger Weasley twin. A small flush forming where she didn’t want to admit it to him but she wanted to tell someone. “Since I saw Cedric die… since I witnessed him come back.” She murmured her eyes closing for a moment. Usually she could get through anything but this time it was different. That one event changed everything in her life and everyone else’s in the wizard world, whether they knew it yet to not.
George didn’t say anything at first. He just kept his attention on the girl beside of him to register her emotions. “You’re not going mad if that’s what you’re thinking.” He spoke softly noticing the way her facial expressions changed. “You went through a traumatic event, if anything you’re too normal.”
She let out a small laugh at that, “too normal, huh?”
George’s eyes widen slightly at how mean that sounded when she said it out loud, “not in a bad way… just considering what you’ve been through.”
“On that comment, I should probably try to go to bed.” She teased a bit fighting back a yawn as she stood up and stretched. “Thank you… again.” She added softly and sending him a smile as she headed towards the creaky stairs.
“Hey, uh, Y/N.” George called softly and low enough to not bother anyone but to get the girl’s attention. “If you ever need someone to listen…” he trailed off hoping she would get what he was trying to say.
The smile on her face turned a bit shy at what he was getting at, “Thank you, George.” She told him yet again. “Really.” With that she turned and went up the stairs in the room that her and Hermione were sharing.
Y/N was hoping that being back at Hogwarts would ease her mind and help her relax a bit. That wasn’t happening, at least what she could tell. She wasn’t sure if it was the information Harry had given her about the trial or if it was everything that was looming around. The stares her and Harry were receiving around the castle weren’t helping either, if anything they were adding to everything she was dealing with.
“Are you alright?” Hermione asked noticing Y/N glancing at a couple Slytherin boys who were pointing and whispering about her and Harry. Upon hearing Hermione she turned her attention back to the Gryffindor table to notice George waiting for a response.
Her eyes flitted over to Hermione before nodding, “Oh… yeah.” She lied plastering a fake smile on her face. “Slytherins are… Slytherins.” She mumbled. Her gaze moving down to her plate of food. Feeling like there was a hole burning through her face, she lifted her gaze and met George’s questioning one. Him giving her a knowing look like he could read her.
Luckily, before he could speak up Dumbledore stood up to start the announcements. “Good evening, children. We have two changes in staffing this year. We’re pleased to welcome back Professor Grubbly-Plank, who will be taking care of Magical Creatures while Hagrid is on temporary leave. We also wish to welcome our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Delores Umbridge. I’m sure you all will join me in wishing the professor good luck.” Before Dumbledore could go on with his announcements the woman dressed in all pink walked up and stood in front of Dumbledore’s podium.
“She was at my hearing. She works for Fudge.” Harry leaned over and whispered to Y/N, Ron, and Hermione.
The moment her voice opened, Y/n cringed. The fake sickly sweet tone made her want to gag and shiver at the same time. “Thank you, Headmaster, for those kind words of welcome. How lovely to see all your bright, happy faces smiling up at me. I’m sure we’re all going to be very good friends.”
“That’s likely.” Fred and George mumbled while the ministry woman kept talking.
Umbridge kept talking for a little bit longer, but Y/N zoned it out knowing that the real issues had just began. Something about the woman talking rubbed her the wrong way. Maybe it was the fact that she works for the ministry… or maybe the woman was pure evil. Whatever the reason, she was sure that it would all be out in the open soon.
After dinner was done, the whispers in the castle seem to get louder. Probably because most of the students were heading to their common rooms and it was crowded trying to leave the great hall. Y/N had slowed her walk, wanting to get to the back to stay away from the drama and people whispering about the Potter Twins. When she walked into the common room she came across harry and Seamus having a fight.
“Don’t you dare talk about my mother like that.” Seamus told the youngest Potter when Y/N entered the common room.
“I’ll have a go at anyone who calls me or Y/n a liar.” Harry argued back.
“Harry, it isn’t worth it.” Y/N whispered as she walked up to her younger brother. “Leave it be.” She urged with pleading eyes.
“What’s going on?” Ron asked once he got in and noticed the twins whispering to each other and everyone just staring.
“They’ve gone mad is what’s going on. Do you really believe the rubbish they’ve come out with about you-know-who?”
Y/N stepped around Harry to head to her dorm, there was no way she was going to be in the middle of a fight. Especially not this soon. “Hey Seamus!’ She called with a little mocking tone in her voice. “If we’re lying… how about you say his name?” Y/N taunted before turning around and jogging up to her dorm. Could she have come up with a better come back? Probably, if she wasn’t exhausted. All she wanted to do was lay down and try her best to get some rest before classes began in the morning.
“Oi! Y/N.” Fred Weasley’s voice spoke up as Y/n entered the common room after running to the prefect’s bathroom after her first detention with Umbridge. Defending her brother always seemed to get her in some sort of trouble. “Can I interest you in puking pastilles, free of charge of course.” He offered holding the skiving box out towards the girl.
“Not now, Fred.” She brushed off, gently shoving the box away with her good hand and pushing back towards the older Weasley twin. She would have felt bad if she wasn’t exhausted, in pain, and in a bad mood currently.
“Are you alright?” George asked taking in her demeanor and body language. It was clear to anyone that you weren’t alright. The Potter twins were the talk of the school, that the two were going crazy and trying to cope with Cedric’s death. The nightmares were still occurring except, Voldemort’s voice was becoming blatantly obvious in the dreams making her afraid to sleep.
Y/N huffed, “Would everyone stop asking me if I’m alright?” She snapped loud enough for the whole common room to hear her. All eyes turned to the area of the room she was at with the twins and Gryffindor kids who were buying things off the Weasley twins. “I can’t do this right now.” She muttered as everyone’s eyes stayed on her. She grabbed her bag strap until her knuckles turned white and headed back out of the common room and towards the library. She needed time away to breathe.
Getting to the library through the whispers, teases, and jokes was a nightmare. At least for Y/n whose social fuel was running on empty. The year had just started and she was already excited for the year to be over. She didn’t want to be back home with the Dursley’s but it would beat having to be talked about at every corner here.
In the corner of the library, her bag laid on the table. Not one book on the desk as she glared at her injured hand. Harry’s hand was bad too, but he didn’t do as many sentences. Mainly because Y/N was petty and didn’t want to let the devil in pink think that it bothered her as much as it did. She knew it would take longer to heal than Harry’s, simply because she had written three pages, front and back to prove a point.
“What the bloody hell happened to your hand?” She sighed knowing that he always seemed to follow her or appear when she felt as if she needed to be alone. Maybe that was a sign that she didn’t need to be alone or maybe it was the universe telling her that someone cared, because to her it sometimes felt like they didn’t.
She let out a humorless laugh at the question, “that’s what happens when you defend your brother in class and say Voldemort’s back.” She muttered, exhaustion clear in her voice. “You get detention with Umbitch.”
“Detention? That’s what that is?” He asked as he carefully picked up her hand to inspect the damage of the so called “detention”
After a moment, Y/N pulled her hand back and cleared her throat. “It’ll heal.” She mumbled her jaw clenching as she accidentally moved it the wrong way. “It’s my fault anyway. I should’ve stopped when Harry did. I shouldn’t have tried to prove a point.” She leaned back in the library chair and clicked her tongue. Her eyes stayed on her hand but as her anger and frustration died down, guilt was slowly creeping in. “I’m sorry.” She apologize, lifting her eyes to meet his. “You’ve been nothing but nice to me and I freaked on you and Fred.” She explained noticing his confusion.
George shrugged it off, “Forgotten.” He assured noticing the way her eyes were glassy and drooping. Signs that her body was exhausted and she was tired. “Are you sleeping?” He asked the question but he felt as though he knew the answer.
Y/N sighed rubbing her good hand over her face, “not very well.” She admitted almost against her will. The last thing she needed was to have a Weasley following her around worrying about her, even if it is the one she used to dream about. The one she had a stupid school girl crush on. If she wasn’t so exhausted she probably would’ve been a blushing mess. If she didn’t have to worry about an impending wizard war then she would probably be beyond excited to have the attention of said Weasley she had a crush on. “I’m fine.”
George let out a sound between a snort and a humorless laugh, “sure and I’m actually Fred and the older twin.”
“George,”
“Y/N.”
“I’m fine.” She stated looking directly into his warm eyes. His eye narrowed at her not understanding why she felt the need to lie to him.
George leaned closer to the girl. She sucked in a breath not expecting him to get that close to her face. “I’m calling you a liar.” He replied, reading her like she was an open book. She truly didn’t understand why it mattered. Harry was good at hiding his feelings and she would be too if she could get a decent amount of sleep. Y/N pursed her lips and raised her eyebrows slightly, “look I’m not here to pester you.”
“Could’ve fooled me.” She grumbled. Annoyed that he willingly called her a liar.
“I’m trying to make sure that you are alright.” George finished ignoring her commentary while he was trying to think of the right words. “I know it’s annoying being asked all the time, but when I ask… I truly want to know.”
She leaned back, surveying him. Last year, she would’ve fainted if he would’ve given this much interest in her. After all, it’s all she’s wanted since third year and here it was. Even if he didn’t want her the same way she did him. “I don’t need anyone to watch over me.” She stated crossing her arms.
“Merlin, woman. Just let me check on you.” George muttered slightly annoyed. Why was he trying so hard? He didn’t even know. “You don’t have to be so stubborn.”
She wasn’t used to letting people in, regardless of what her friendships looked like. Regardless of her emotions and her feelings for the Weasley across from her.
It was going to be a long year, for her and George.
It’s almost that time of year and I’m so excited! 🧡🖤🤍 there’s nothing better than Football and the months that end with ‘ber. 👏
With that being said I’m getting back into writing and I’ve been working on NFL men imagines along with a few stray Harry Potter short fics. 🤌 I’m beyond excited for this season. 🫶
With football I know pre-season has started but nothing beats when the full season starts. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve been watching pre-season games as well. My apartment is a divided house. I’m a bengals fan (Who Dey!), my best friend is a Bills fan, our other roommate is a Chiefs fan, and my other friend who *practically* lives with us is a Vikings fan. Game days are interesting to say the least! 😅🤣
