This blog should be considered NEVER SAFE FROM SPOILERS of any released books, interviews, etc. The only thing I will not be talking about here is leaked materials. I will do my best to warn for commonly upsetting subjects beyond what is handled in canon. (So child abuse and gore: probably not warned for. Homophobia? Absolutely.) I will also do my best to respect any requested specific warnings beyond that.

The problem with trying to make a Locked Tomb!Vashwood AU to trick the Trigun girlies into Lesbian Space Necromancer Hell is that even though Wolfwood is a disgruntled orphan who can’t stop caring too much and gets coerced into being fake clergy body guard for a walking war crime that he wants to kiss so bad it makes him look stupid (aka Gideon Nav coded), there are no narrative gymnastics wild enough to make Vash the Stampede in any way Harrowharkish. It can’t be done.

Like. Unfortunately. The Locked Tomb already has codependent twins one of whom has a complicated relationship with to concept of Moral Goodness and her own agency within the atrocities occurring all around her and the other of which is willing to (perhaps literally) devour every other member of her family to further her awful little schemes. But I love Wolfwood too much to make him into Naberius Tern, no matter how thematically apt that may also be.

Furthermore, I don’t think Knives has his shit together enough to be Ianthe. I’m sorry he just doesn’t. He fucking wishes he had one tenth of her Awful Slutty Twin juice. If they ever met, any Knives, any continuity, I am telling you that Actual Human Teen Ianthe Tridentarius would have that man crying as she performed Bugs Bunny levels clowning upon him. They would start a game of 5D moral repugnancy chess that would simply turn into the psychodrama equivalent of a Scooby Doo chase scene. He would tear out his hair and gnash his teeth as smooth jazz Yakitty Sax played in the background.
