Rose helping Shane put on makeup as a treat for Ilya because he remembers how 'pretty' Ilya found him during the CCM shoot.

He's not wearing enough to even be noticeable really, just enough to make his features pop.

So when Ilya gets home and sees Shane he does a bit of a double-take and his breath hitches in a way that makes Shane's heart stutter.

"My Shane, you are beautiful today," he says stepping closer. "Of course you are always beautiful but today something is wow." His ears flush red as he gestures with his hands for emphasis. "Sorry, English is not so easy now. You are taking my breath."

And Shane takes a step even closer, so that his thigh slots between Ilya's, and grinds just enough to feel him through his jeans.

And that's all the invitation Ilya needs.

I believe deep in my bones that Ilya and Shane both indulge in private romantic fantasies but they're polar opposites. And Ilya is lying there next to him like Yay I love cuddling my boring husband :) while Shane vividly fantasizes about Ilya calling him a smart good brave boy for saving him from psychological thriller villains.
