wild turkeys are not stupid… exactly. But they are a combination of very curious and hyper cautious. So here is this New Weird Thing lying in the road that they wanna know what it is but they kinda want someone else to go first. So they will walk in a circle making a “what’s that, what IS that” noise for fricking EVER until the Bravest Turkey gets close enough to say “IT’S A DEAD CAT PEOPLE- JUST A DEAD CAT! FALSE ALARM” and then they can go on their way.

Alex (1976 – September 6, 2007) had a vocabulary of over 100 words, but was exceptional in that he appeared to have understanding of what he said. For example, when Alex was shown an object and was asked about its shape, color, or material, he could label it correctly. He could understand that a key was a key no matter what its size or color, and could figure out how the key was different from others.
