Life goals

Alissas birthday party! We took her to the sea life centre, but let me tell you - it was eventful! On the way there she got super car sick and projectile vommed everywhere, soaking her clothes through! It was a darn cold day, and I didn't want her to go without a coat so my nephew lent her his jumper (ages 12-13 years) which swamped her. Needless to say, it didn't really warm her up! But regardless, she had a great time, she got to touch a starfish and a sea urchin, and she adored the octopus. We also had to get a super cheesy green screen photo of our trip!

We had snow! As soon as we got up, we wolfed down some breakfast and pulled on our warmest coats. We let Alissa walk outside, and she was a little unsure of the snow to start with, but when we took her out back she really got into it! She was kicking, jumping and playing in the snow. Last year we didn't get any snow so this is the first time we've seen it here and it was beautiful. Also, because we were early birds we got to put the first foot prints in the snow - isn't that the best?!

I love being your mama. I love that even when you're screaming, my singing or swaying of my hips while we cuddle soothes you. I love that when I leave the room you get upset, and you get so excited when I come back. I love how you play with my fingers when I feed you. I love the ups and downs of parenthood and I love sharing it with you, little girl. I can't wait to have conversations with you, play make believe and go on adventures. But also I want you to stay little always. You'll always be my little one. ❤️
