YO NSFW ARTIST AND SOON TO BE TUMBLR REFUGEES!!!
Iâm going to just leave this here. This is where Iâll be at, I kinda missed it. Check them out.
Oh, stupid tumblr. Where are people migrating away to?
Self defence sprays that are legal to carry and use in the United Kingdom
Image 1: Farbgel Image 2: StoppaRed
Iâve seen a lot of people (mostly women, for reasons which may be obvious) speaking about being worried when going out, be it alone or even with friends, both in the day and at night. I know that a lot of female friends of mine carry around a can of antiperspirant or a pot of pepper to use if theyâre ever attacked. What I know a lot of people donât realise is that there are products out there which work in a violent situation and help in catching the assailant for the best part of a week afterwards.
Known as âcriminal identifiersâ, these sprays are brightly coloured dyes which can be sprayed in the face of an attacker. Unlike things such as CS or Pepper sprays, criminal identifier sprays are legal in the UK.
Thereâs a few available on the market, with farbgel and Maceâs Stoppared being the mostly highly recommended.
What these sprays do is release a sticky, brightly coloured dye. Itâs difficult to wipe away and stains the skin a bright red colour. No matter how hard an attacker might try to remove it from their skin and clothing, the staining typically lasts for around a week and doesnât even start to fade until after a few days have passed.
Unlike CS and Pepper sprays (which, again, arenât legal in the UK) criminal identifier sprays donât cause irritation or pain to an attacker. Instead, they expand and clog up the area sprayed with a kind of sticky foam thatâs difficult to wipe away. It should give you enough time to escape and report someone whose face resembles a baboonâs arse to the police.
Each can of the sprays costs around ÂŁ10 each, though it may be cheaper when buying multiple canisters and if you shop around.

It should give you enough time to escape and report someone whose face resembles a baboonâs arse to the police.
Thatâs brilliant
Oh yeah, this is good stuff. AlsoâŚthis is awesome for here in the US too. âHey, itâs a Nazi rally!â **2 days later** âHey, did you hear Todd at work was ID'ed as a Nazi? Apparently, he got dyed at a rally, and on Monday when he showed up to work with a red face, the boss called the cops immediately.â
Man thatâs clever.
Article 13 NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!!
I DONâT CARE IF YOUâRE NOT EUROPEAN!!!!
THIS WILL AFFECT THE WAY EVERYONE USES THE INTERNET!
DO YOUR RESEARCH!
CALL/EMAIL YOUR MEPs!
KEEP THIS HORRIBLE LAW FROM GETTING PASSED!!!
Just fyi this will likely affect non-Europeans as well. Itâs easier for a website like YouTube to just restrict ALL copyright instead of just sectioning off what they need to. Theyâll probably let bigger YouTubers still operate, but small time content creators will be a thing of the past.
The internet could change next week, and not in a good way
You may have heard about the efforts in Europe to reform copyright law. The debate has been ongoing in the European Parliament for months. If approved next week, these new regulations would require us to automatically filter and block content that you upload without meaningful consideration of your right to free expression.Â
We respect the copyrights and trademarks of others, and we take all reports seriously to ensure that your creative expression is protected. We make this clear in our Community Guidelines. Thereâs already a legal framework that works and is fair: Today we take down posts and media that contain allegedly infringing content when we receive a valid DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown request. We also provide clear-cut ways for people to fight back if they believe their removed content was not a true violation. These instances are monitored and reported and live in our biannual transparency report.Â
The suggestion to use automated filters for issues of copyright is short-sighted at best and harmful at worst. Automated filters are unable to determine whether a use should be considered âfair useâ under the law and are unable to determine whether a use is authorized by a license agreement. They are unable to distinguish legitimate parody, satire, or even your own personal pictures that could be matched with similar photographs that have been protected by someone else. We donât believe that technology should replace human judgment. Tumblr is and always has been a place for creative expression, and these new regulations would only make it harder for you to express yourself with the freedom and clarity you do so now.Â
If you access Tumblr from Europe and want to act, you can find more information on saveyourinternet.eu.Â
Please reblog this as much as you reblogged the posts about Net Neutrality.Â
If Article 13 is approved, European People might be basically banned from uploading any fan content.Â
You wonât get new fanfics from people in Europe.
You wonât get new gifs from people in Europe.
You wonât get new fanart from people in Europe.
Because theyâll be automatically filtered and blocked!
We might leave Tumblr and other fandom pages.
And if weâre getting all our content blocked?Â
You might lose some of your favourite followers/mutuals.
You might not get to read the rest of that fic youâre dying to read - simply because the writer lives in the wrong country.
So do whatever you can to help us stop this.
Reblog this.
CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES TO TELL THEM YOU DONâT WANT ARTICLE 13 TO BE APPROVED IF YOUâRE EUROPEAN! DO IT VIA THE HOMEPAGE
EVERYONE PLEASE LISTEN. DO NOT IGNORE THIS.
Article 13 is going into itâs final stages of voting.Â
If this gets through, it will allow many, many companies to abuse and misuse this article to take down as many memes, fan works, and even other independent creators on sites like YouTube, Facebook, and other websites INCLUDING Tumblr.Â
THE FAIR USE LAW AND SAFEHARBOR LAW WILL NO LONGER APPLY IN THE U.S OR IN OTHER COUNTRIES.Â
IT HAS ALREADY PASSED IN SEVERAL OTHER COUNTRIES.Â
WE CANNOT ALLOW THEM TO TAKE AWAY WHAT WE BUILT FOR THE INTERNET SO FAR.Â
So here is what you need to do to drag this article down.Â
1. Spread the wordÂ
I canât stress this enough. The more attention this gets the more people we can get to take this down.Â
2. Make your own contentÂ
Make your own content on the matter and make sure it is clear to others that Article 13 is bad for every internet user involved.Â
3. If you live anywhere in Europe, contact your MEPsÂ
Ask them if they approve of the article and why. If they do approve of it, try to convince them in a clear, reasonable, and most sensible way possible that this law is BAD.Â
The article itself is way to vague about what itâs conveying to its people.Â
Saying that as long as the use of said internet memes or content is good as long as itâs in âgood faith.âÂ
We cannot let some shoddy government tell us what we can and cannot post.Â
FREE SPEECH IS A HUMAN RIGHT. NOT A PRIVILEGE.Â
Hereâs a video on Article 13 that Film Theory made on the matter. It will explain things better than I can.Â

Edit: Iâve noticed that some people are having trouble with getting the video to work. So here is the new link

So my boss once robbed a museum to prove a point and honestly, I think she is my new role model.Â
If this gets notes Iâll tell the full story
Storu
Many years ago, my boss was working at this museum and they had these original Churchill documents on display. These documents are worth millions of dollars⌠The only thing separating the public from these documents was a sheet of glass secured with 4 philips head screws. Seriously. No security guards in the room, no cameras, just an easily removable piece of glass.Â
My boss pointed out the security concern, but she wasnât taken seriously, so she took matters into her own hands.Â
She bought a ticket and  pretended to be a guest. She entered through the main entrance with a huge drill clearly visible on her belt, went straight to the documents and opened the case with the drill. (While  wearing gloves,) she removed the documents, put them in a folder, reattached the glass, and walked out the main exit.  Literally no one even questioned her.
She immediately went around to the back of the museum, entered using the staff entrance and went straight to her bossâs office.  She dropped the folder on his desk and said âI just stole these in 15 minutesâ
Once he was done being mad at her, he listened and the museum increased security.Â
Chaotic Neutral
Article 13 has been approved by EU. Itâs worse than Net Neutrality has ever been. I donât even know if we will have any access to Tumblr, Pinterest, Ao3 or even Instagram. Memes are probably dead, just like reactions, fanfictions and gifsets. Everyone in EU is in danger that they will not have access to their favorite sites. But I havenât seen a SINGLE post about it on my dash because Americans doesnât give a damn.
Also, Iâm in Europe and ngl, had no idea this was even an article up for debate let alone it being fucking passed.
Donât panic! This was expected at this stage and it is only the beginning. If you are a European and feel passionate about this, please keep on reading and help!
So what has happened so far ⌠the Commission has drafted up a long overdue copyright reform. https://eur-lex.europa.eu/procedure/EN/2016_280 It contains a lot of good, and some bad: mainly Article 11 and 13.
This was put forward as a whole to the European Parlament, where it was voted down on the 5th of July 2018
This meant, this will not go through the fast way, and will be subject to scrutiny and change.Â
The Commission made some alterations https://eur-lex.europa.eu/procedure/EN/2016_280 and put it forward again. If Parlament would have voted it down again, it probably would have meant back to the drawing board, but most people (including me) agree that Europe does need copyright reform, so on the second vote it passed the first step:
So what happens now?Â
This will now go into what is called the Trilogue, where Commission, Parlament and representatives of all national governments will sit together to make alterations until everybody is happy implementing the regulation.
This means we can now influence this via our MEPs and our National Government!
In countries that are red your government is likely to support Article 13.
What to do now?
There are a lot of organisations that organise actions against article 13. Check out their websites and get in touch with your MEP or local government and let them know you are unhappy about this.
https://www.saveyourinternet.eu/Â
https://epicenter.works/
https://www.changecopyright.org/
https://juliareda.eu/eu-copyright-reform/
⌠and many many more, just google to find one in your country.
Also, as @asthesea-breezehitsmylungs pointed out, a lot of people are not aware of this going on. So make them aware! Share the memes and point them to the petitions. And donât just complain how shit this is, get in touch with your politicians!
Farewell online privacy
What happened?
Trump happened.
just get a VPN?
You canât just tell people to âget a VPN (Virtual Private Network)â. Buying a VPN is like buying a house. Itâs very very important. Having no VPN or having a âwrongâ one can seriously damage your life. Especially for Americans because their privacy laws are garbage. I am going to try explain why you should get a VPN but bare with me, I am from Germany and my English is far from perfect.Â
Letâs start with a simple test. Click this link here:Â https://whatismyipaddress.com/ It will tell your IP adres, your ISP (internet service provider), and your location. The location might not be very accurate, but then again, itâs just a simple website. Imagine what the government can do!
So basically, everyone can find out where you live. But there is more danger. Your ISP. Your ISP logs your every move online and they are required to keep it in case the government wants access to it (or if a 3rd party wants to buy your data (yikes). They have everything. What websites you visit. How long you stay on a website. What you download. Your search terms. European laws are more subtle on this but if you are from the US you are #@*#&, especially because Trump doesnât support the open internet. Itâs scary but maybe in the future you canât get a job because the recruiter knows your searched on âhow to deal with depressionâ or anythings else thatâs supposed to be private because itâs your f*cking right. Or you get a $100k fine because you pirated a movie 15 years ago. You need a VPN. Youâre dumb for not using one. but what does a VPN do?
A VPN encrypts all your data so if it were be intercepted no one can âcrack the codeâ and damage your privacy.Â
Usually being online goes like this (simplified): Your computer â-> ISP (ââ> keeps data ââ> sells it)
But with a VPN it goes like: Your computer ââ> VPN (encrypts data)ââ> ISP (ISP canât see shit)
Furthermore, a VPN hides your IP address and location by giving you another IP address located in Spain for example (you can often choose from a list and change as many times as you want). Â
Now that you know why you should get a VPN and what is does it is important to educate yourself because people often choose the wrong VPN. VPN providers are also businesses and have to obey the law. If you choose a VPN provider located in the US then you are throwing your money away because the laws in the US shits on your privacy. If the US gov wants the provider to give all their logs they have to obey. The ISP  still canât see what you are doing online and sell your data but the US gov can interfere with your VPN provider so NEVER CHOOSE A PROVIDER LOCATED IN THE US.Â
I just wanted to make that very clear so my followers donât buy false security.
There is still more danger! Who says your VPN provider isnât selling your data? You need to check their logging policy. Do they keep logs? If yes, what for? For how long do they keep them? Tip: Choose a provider who doesnât keep logs
More about law The US is part of the Five Eyes program (the worst): Â
The Five Eyes, often abbreviated as FVEY, is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. These countries are bound by the multilateral UKUSA Agreement, a treaty for joint cooperation in signals intelligence (source)
There is also a Nine Eyes (bit better) and Fourteen Eyes Program (better). You donât want a VPN provider who is located in one the Five Eyes countries. If you had to choose go for a provider located in a country thatâs part of the Fourteen Eyes Program or even better, go for a country that isnât part of any program!Â
I know this is a shitty explanation and please pardon my english but now itâs time to do your own research. Take your privacy seriously. Maybe WWIII breaks out and you get killed for liking the âwrongâ FB-page. Â
Go to this website:Â https://thatoneprivacysite.net/simple-vpn-comparison-chart/
Make sure that your future VPN provider both has green boxes for Privacy Jurisdiction and Privacy Logging.Â
I recommend ovpn.se and trust.zone. ovpn is located in Sweden so they are part of the 14 Eyes Program and they keep minimal logs. Their business ethics, however, are alright.Â
Trustzone is located in the Seychelles. No country can interfere and their privacy jurisdiction is the best you can get. The US want your data but needs to get it from Trustzone? The Seychelles will simply give them the finger and wave them goodbye. However, this makes this provider very appealing for people who torrent and criminals because they keep no logs (and that is how it shoud be) Also, Â there are almost no marketing efforts so this provider is one the cheapest)
Also, often providers such as ExpressVPN are being called âThe Bestâ on websites about VPNs but know that this is just marketing which also makes those provider more expensive (and they too shit on your privacy)
This must be the worst article you have ever read but please, please take your privacy very seriously.
EDIT: I got many people asking me which provider I use. For those who want to know, I use Trust Zone. They offer a free 3-day trial with no strings attached. But still do your own research!Â
I am also with Trustzone but I think you forgot to explain one of itâs most important features. It protects you when you are using someone elseâs Wi-Fi. If you are at Starbucks and you use their Wi-Fi your privacy is at risk. Anyone with ill intentions could steal your information. Especially if you are using an unsecured Wi-Fi hotspot. With a VPN your data gets encrypted so no one can steal it.Â
Wait, whatâs going, on? Did trump destroy internet privacy with a bill or something? Whereâs the news? Oh wait, why am I getting visions of Alex Jones and selling water purifiers?
He hasnât yet but he says he wants to. And if he is serious about it it would be really easy to do. Since all our data is already recorded, as the person above explained.
Trump wants more surveillance of Muslim Americans. This in a country where internet privacy is already close to non-existent.Â
Trust.Zone has a free trial. Use it.Â
btw this post only has 11k notes? Thatâs quite disappointing for something this important.Â
Donât reblog this post to save a life. Reblog this to protect an entire family!
@earth-ruins @writing-prompt-s Should I get trustzone for my mobile device?
If you use public Wi-Fi, then yes. Which VPN you use is up to you, amigo. Take @earth-ruins advice. Do your own research first.Â
@elvesfromthedeepâ just brought the current situation in the US to my attention (March 30, 2017).Â

Anger as US internet privacy law scrappedÂ
Congress just voted to let internet providers sell your browsing historyÂ
To all my friends in the US, please read this entire post. Making everyone aware of VPNs is going to be my mission. Your privacy matters. Please reblog this post.
Donât tell me you just wanted to scroll past this. Stop looking at pictures of cats for a moment, okay? Donât you realize how important this is? This is dangerous! âAmerica, the best FREE country in the worldâ my ass.
With this new law your ISP can sell your Internet history which could include passwords, usernames, religion, credit card numbers, race and much more to the highest bidder. So here is what I want you to do. You are going to read the whole thing and before you think âthis is so important. Let me reblog this real quick and go back to admiring cats again-â NO! Donât reblog this. Take action first. Then reblog. Sign up for a free trial! Trust.Zone offers one (here). Yes. It might be difficult to set up a VPN for some people. But is that going to stop you from protecting yourself and your family? 30 minutes. 30 minutes is all that it takes. 5 if you know how to install software. The problem with some of you is that you see âdifficultâ as something negative. I want you to see difficult differently. I need you to push through this stuff. You are going to protect yourself. There is nothing negative about that. VPNs are fun and costsaving too! A VPN bypasses geographical restrictions so you can access websites you normally canât or you could start Netflixâs one month free trial over and over again- forever. And itâs legal! (unless you use it to buy weapons etc.,) Donât tell yourself that you are too tired and that you will do this tomorrow. Because that isnât going to happen and you know it. You have to do this right now. You only have to click on it. Donât let this/shit/life just happen to you. Take yourself seriously. Get a VPN.
Privacy is not a privilege, itâs a fundamental human right
Ok sorry that itâs so freaking long and also sorry for the language, but this is extremely important. Please reblog!
Reblogging again bc this is important
Iâve been to friendâs houses where I could get into their wireless in under 15 seconds and snoop every internet connection going on. And Iâm not intending on doing anything with that information - except show them how to tighten up security. A government or private firm wonât be interested in advising you, they are interested in punishing you or selling you crap.
Iâve already witnessed incidents of people not getting interviews etc. because their email address was found on a mental illness (addiction) forum so I donât need to spell out what wpuld happen if they could track ALL your access.
Net neutrality and tight security are your friends.

These arenât bots these are real accounts, I got one today. If you get a message like this from me ITâS NOT ME! I donât even understand how bit coin works. I assume something got into these peoples accounts and is sending this out to maybe all their followers without them knowing :\
I havenât read any solution for it yet (like change your PW or something) but I personally wouldnât respond back nor âborrow their bit coinâ for risk of your account being compromised. Stay safe everyone!
Just got a message like this this morning from a mutual and they know they were hacked and told me to ignore it. Iâd change your password just in case bc you can never be too careful in situations like these. But yes, this is real and really annoying. Safeguard your shit kids!
Had to mark one like this as spam too just now⌠I didnât know there were real accounts being hacked.Â
So announcement that I would not and will not ever ask anyone for Bitcoin! Iâm changing my password now just in case, but if you receive a message like this from me then please know that it wasnât actually me.Â
I recommend everyone else changing passwords too, and make sure to pick a strong one. Stay safe, everybody!
Oh my gosh!! Please be on the lookout for these! Iâm changing my password now you please do the same!

âIn this round, you will be given a recipe to recreate.â Arthur paused for a smile, âHowever, there is a catch.â
This elicited impatient groans from the two competitors left remaining.
âYou will be given extra ingredients to incorporate into the deserts, and you will have ninety minutes to complete this task.â
Arthur waited as the recipe cards were delivered to the two remaining contestants. He would do a voice-over later, but as of now, he would pause and give them a moment or two to read what was given to them.
See, this was the sad part. With round seven, there were only two contestants left, and Arthur liked to think he knew them. He liked to think the weeks heâd spent hosting them had softened him a bit, just a little bit, yes.
However, with this case in particular- Arthur cast a glance in Alfredâs direction as the man looked up from his instructions, a beaming smile spreading slowly on his features-
Arthur decided Alfred Jones had softened him up more than just a bit.
