"Mac!" Veronica called behind her as she saw Mac sprint out of the classroom, "You left your artbook!" She continued, before sighed as, expectedly, the girl didn't hear her.

"Dork." Duke mumbled under her breath as she grabbed the artbook from the wooden table, shaking it in her hand for some sort of dramatic act.

"What does she even keep here anyway?" Duke asked no one, Chandler rolled her eyes at Duke's behavior, but eyed the book in her hand with barely disguised curiosity.

"You wanna take a sneak peek?" Duke asked, already opening the book, slipping through the pages, Veronica gave an eye roll.

"Heather, come on, that's private." Veronica walks over, snatching the book away from Veronica's hands.

Duke pouted as Veronica took the artbook away, before raising a brow as Veronica went read, her hand instantly closing the still open book.

"What?" Chandler asked from behind Duke, clearly noticing Veronica's strange reactions, she snatched the book from Veronica, flipping through the pages, before landing on one, her face going redder than her scrunchie.

Duke leaned over to peak inside the page. There, sitting on an otherwise empty page, were six drawings.

The frost one was an illustration of Chandler and Veronica kissing in their prom outfits (Veronica wearing her tuxedo, and Chandler a charming dress.) The second one, of Duke and Mac, under a tree, the kiss this time being obstructed by an angle.

There was one of Duke and Veronica kissing.

"Hey guys, I forgot my artboo-" Mac leaned back into the now empty classroom, before her eyes widened at the sight of Duke holding said artbook open to a very familiar page.

"SHIT!" Mac exclaimed, running to snatch the book from Chandler's grasp, before burying her face in it.

She groaned in embarrassment, only to be stopped by a warm hand on her shoulder, she lifted her head to see Veronica's gaze.

It's pretty wild how I like pretty much only see trans women point out that boyhood or amab childhood or whatever you wanna call it is like a deeply traumatizing ordeal where everyone around you just sexually assaults you all the time. Like it wasn't until I started talking to trans women/transitioned myself until I started looking back on things like "oh maybe it's like actually super fucked up that boys started calling me a faggot in 3rd grade. Oh maybe all the sacktaps and titty twisters weren't just horseplay but rather fairly traumatizing sexual violence to inflict on a kid lol. Oh maybe all the homophobic bullying I experienced counts as 'sexual trauma'" etc etc. Like that recontextualization didn't happen until after realizing I was trans. Wonder what's going on there

I'd like to recommend you a manga you might like, it's called Otome no Teikoku

It's a yuri manga set in an all girls school and it's literally one of my favorites. The first few chapters are kinda 'porn without plot' but it's worth reading as several of the girl do end up dating eachother!

Yeah its in my want to read list. I have adhd and am getting pulled between like 4 different manga series and a video game so idk when ill ever get to it but I have desired to look at it.

Besides the anti-trans stuff, is it bad that I agree with a lot of what radfems say? Like for example, I think the porn industry is very evil and some people aren’t critical of it enough, as sites like PornHub facilitate trafficking and the existence of violent acted-out porn itself has awful affects on men and women alike for different reasons (though I wouldn’t blame any individual sex worker for this).

Radfems will sometimes say things that, on their face, make sense, but fall apart as soon as you start looking further into them. Their anti porn points are a good example. The porn industry is abusive. Performers are underpaid and taken advantage of both financially and sexually. Tube sites do make it way too easy for people to upload videos of csa or sexual assault, and there's evidence of this happening on many occasions. A lot of people (esp young men) do learn all the wrong lessons about sex from porn and develop an unhealthy relationship with sex because of it.

The issue is that radfems believe that these problems are inherent to porn, rather than the product of other societal forces. Performers are abused so frequently both because the institutions meant to protect victims of sexual assault and workplace abuse are woefully bad at serving their intended fuctions, and because these performers are not respected as workers to begin with. Despite how many people watch porn on a regular basis, performers are not viewed as "real" workers doing "real" work, because what they are doing is stigmatized by a misogynistic, puritanical society. People develop toxic attitudes about sex from watching porn because sex education doesn't teach you what is and isn't normal or pleasurable during sex and people do not communicate with their partners about what they actually want. The problems with porn do not exist because porn in and of itself is misogynistic, they exist because porn, like everything else in our society, is affected by patriarchy.

People who buy into these ideologies also miss the fact that all sorts of other industries are abusive and exploitative. There is often this unique obsession with women who are "forced into sex work because they have no other options", but there is no proportional concern for women who are in all sorts of other jobs (like customer service call centers, restaurant work, or especially in developing countries, clothing production) and of course similar concern for more male-dominated professions like mining, agriculture, logging, and commercial fishing, in spite of these industries also having heavy exploitation and major safety issues.

You start realize that there's a bizarre, almost fetishistic obsession with sex in where people focus their criticisms. Why? Because the ideology is deeply rooted in the whole purity culture, the idea that women are so beautiful and pure and good until they do something sexual and oh, this makes them so dirty and tainted, so sex work must be the worst, most exploitative work of all and all the other forms of exploitation are insignificant in comparison.

It's ridiculous. Sex work (of which porn acting is one of many types) is just another type of work, and like any kind of work, it can be exploitative or it can be self-actualizing and it can be anywhere in between.

Gaming chairs are actually really bad for your back. I recommend a simple, reliable office chair from a reputable furniture store. I have one from IKEA called a Markus.
