Still mad about how everyone treats Neal like he's a criminal and therefore a monster and a morally inferior human being who will always be less than

When he is actually one of the kindest, most generous people, who never steals for greed, who is more than happy to use his particular skills to help people he cares about and even people he barely knows, who abhors violence and guns, and who regularly puts himself at risk for the people he cares about. With his particular set of skills, courage, and drive, he could be running the world. He could be an evil fucking mastermind, with a criminal empire, except that he is unwilling to use violence or hurt truly vulnerable people and also he just doesn't want to. It's not in him. It's not who he is. He just wants to live his life.

Everybody be treating him like he's the worst criminal ever when he actively actually chooses not to be and if he did choose to be the worst criminal ever, well....you would deeply regret it. Like I don't think any of the characters realize how truly dangerous Neal could be if he wanted to be. Except he's never wanted to be.

For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."

Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.

Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.

Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.

The best part is the local city council's reaction.

And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.

there is a single character i read/watch hell's paradise for. and it's for this small little man who looks like a snowy owl and a wet cat and loves his wife. who while missing his memory still semi-remebered his wife. this man loves his wife. he also doesn't know how being a human works.

Honestly the theory people had about Suo thinking no one will care that he’s gone is a little funny when you consider that Sakura and Nirei both BLEW UP his phone for three days straight lol

I think we don't do enough with the fact that Ichigo is, by soul reaper standards, very much a child.

I want a fic where Ichigo acquires an actual spiritual developmental disorder from going to war as such a young soul. Like reiatsu-developmental-PTSD or something.

Give me various soul reapers gradually realizing that Ichigo has such bad kido control because he's been conditioned to always expect violence, and his soul is lashing out as a maladaptive protective mechanism. Anything he tries to cast explodes because his soul has learned in its formative years that casting is to be associated with danger, fear, and pain, and something fundamental in him just panics when it's time to use kido.

Give me Urahara, Kyoraku, and the Visored realizing that Ichigo gets attached to adults who show him an ounce of care frighteningly quickly because he is unconsciously searching for someone who will protect him. And he'll forgive those adults when they hurt him (e.g. send him off to battle, lie to him, etc.) because he is desperately trying to get the affection from them that, developmentally, he literally requires.

And give me Ichigo having outbursts of emotion he can't control. Give me him getting angry over nothing and then getting embarrassed about it later. Give me him getting overstimulated through passive, every-day reishi-sensing. Give me him bursting into tears in the middle of a conversation because of light teasing that he would normally enjoy partaking in.

I want to see the psychological and spiritual effects of sending a young soul to war, and I want to see the adults in Ichigo's life realizing this and trying to help him heal.

GOD EVERYTHING ABOUT IT JUST SHEER PERFECTION.

The little agonized noise of despair Ichigo makes when he realizes his sister's soul has been tied to Hell, the moment where he locks in and grabs Yuzu and manages to still gently hold her despite going berserk, oh and the, SO ANYWAY I STARTED BLASTING, Ichigo does by just literally nuking the surrounding area with his Cero.

LOVE .THAT. SHIT!

Man, there could have been a whole arc with Yuzu and Ichigo traveling together through Hell, trying to escape or find a way to disconnect Yuzu's soul and save her from eternal damnation. Ichigo would be stuck in his Vasto Lorde form the whole time, barely holding onto his humanity as he protects his sister from the monsters that reside there.
