Thinking about Seven envying how people treat B'Elanna (poorly) because when she shows aggression or discontent everyone's response is (in Seven's eyes) "Oh well that's just how she is - typical Klingon B'Elanna!" giving her a pass so to speak because even though she's Human she's not REALLY Human - which Seven identifies with but is denied that ("You're a [Human/Real]Woman, Seven!") and constantly treated as something that needs to be fixed and softened. Seven seeing a freedom there - being able to act how you want and not being chided for it, led away from your own personality like it's a toy you should have grown out of years ago. Whereas B'Elanna envies that Seven, despite having an extremely violent past of assimilating people and making (in B'Elanna's eyes) little to no effort to fit in, is given full access to (allegorically white) Human Femininity by virtue of her being born fully Human. How she's coddled and thought of as beautiful by everyone around her despite all the horrible things she's done. B'Elanna was born Human and raised among Humans for awhile and yet she's never been Human to anyone. To B'Elanna Seven is treated like a long-lost princess coming home: "This is all yours, it's your birthright, we're so glad you're finally back!" and Seven (infuriatingly) keeps pushing it all away and trying to climb out the window. Both of them (not wholly, but in some sense) envying the respective ways the other is treated poorly by those around them. If /I/ was treated like that I wouldn't waste it like her...

I know intersex people are still getting excluded in a lot of LGBTQIA+ spaces (let alone wider society) and I think it's crucial to show this group is included in the statement that we all deserve equal rights.

How: buy a trans flag pin and wear it in public.

Why: chaff is an overwhelming amount of false positives so that when a missile gets close to the plane, it hits the chaff and not the plane.

In practice: the goal is to make it DIFFICULT to identify trans people to target with bathroom bans, and to create many FALSE POSITIVES for businesses.

Basically, you might get accused of being trans and kicked out, because of the badge. You say: I wear the badge because trans rights matter.

You follow up with a letter to the business saying you're fucking furious because some nosy dipshit just tried to play fucking genital police with you in the loos. You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.

Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.

Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.

You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.
