I started playing Morrowind when I was 12 years old. A lot happened for me at 12. My sister died. I started to put words to “I’m not straight.” I stopped believing in deity.

The silliness of the religion in TES, and the Dwemer, helped me feel comfortable with being Atheist in a very Mormon household. That someone like Vivec could be considered as high as a god helped me feel comfortable with myself in a family that viewed homosexuality as one of the ultimate sins. But most importantly, it was the ONLY thing in my life that I had to take my mind off of losing her.

So thank you to everyone that helped make it, and thank you to everyone in the community now who are so supportive of those you’ve never met.
