‪Hi my therapist told me that if you have anxiety and (like me) find breathing exercises hard (like all the "deep breath in" and "focus on your breathing" shit) and the more you focus on them they result in an actual attack then don't worry because breathing is literally the one thing your body will do on it's own (like our body is programmed to survive so breathing it can cope with on it's own) and focusing on it can cause it to get worse.

‬i just sort of found this reasuring cos everywhere tells you to "focus on your breathing" but i just found the more i did focus on it, the worse it got... so yeah
