Not normally my cup of tea to post this content on here, but I’ve seen a lot of it over Instagram and other social media platforms, and it is kind of disheartening. Social media can be used to motivate, inspire, and teach people, it can also be a tool for quite the opposite, people tend to ‘say’ things on social media, they would never say face to face. One in particular, being in the health and fitness industry gets to me. . When I see images of men or women and there are comments of “Keep up the hard work”, “Amazing Job”, “You’re an inspiration” that is amazing. However, you also see the opposite, and usually more towards females than males “You look like a man”, “You’re using steroids”, “You’re unattractive and disgusting”. . “Do onto others, as you would have done onto yourself.” “If you cannot say something positive, do not say it at all.” . What defines what a male or female physique should look like? Thousands of years of history? Our Grandparents and Parents? Outdated information? Jealousy? Is there really anything that should define that? . Personally, I believe there is no real ‘Male’ or ‘Female’ physique – there is Human, and as Humans we can make our body whatever WE want, like an artist and a canvas, you define what you want it to be, for you. . So instead of putting another Human’s physique and hard work down, think of all the effort they have put into it, the time, the energy, the cost both financially, mentally, and physically. Celebrate our differences, celebrate what is common between us, be grateful, and lift people up instead of trying to tear them down. . For those at the beginning of their fitness journey just trying to get moving, good luck, it takes time, but it is worth it, for those that have been at it for years, and just trying to define, or get that extra 10th of a second faster, keep at it, hard work pays off. No matter where you are, ignore those looking to bring you down, and surround yourself with those who will lift you up, and be proud of your achievements. . . #Fitness #Goals #Health #Healthy #Gains #Muscle #Strength #Calisthenics #BodyWeight #Move #Cardio #Workout #Gym #FitSpo #Train #begoodtopeople #crossfit
